Sin más que agregar prepárense para empezar a estafar a algunas personas pues estamos por comenzar.
Nightmare Alley was released in 2021, directed by Guillermo del Toro and produced by TSG Entertainment, has a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is a psychological drama film, the film is set in New York in the mid-1940s, focuses on Stanton Carlisle who is an aimless soul, in his journey he runs into a circus that is a place with various particularities that are very interesting to him. After that he realizes that he fits very well from that place so he joins the act of a seer and her husband the mentalist from which he will learn many valuable tricks, however his ambitions will lead him to try to take things further but soon he will learn that everything has a cost to pay.

Es una película de drama psicológico, la cinta se encuentra ambientada en Nueva York a mediados de 1940, se centra en Stanton Carlisle quien es un alma sin rumbo, en su travesía se topa con un circo que es un sitio con diversas particularidades que le resultan muy interesantes. Después de eso se da cuenta de que encaja muy bien de ese lugar por lo que se une al acto de una vidente y su esposo el mentalista de los cuales aprenderá muchos valiosos trucos, sin embargo sus ambiciones lo llevaran a intentar llevar las cosas más allá pero pronto aprenderá que todo tiene un costo que pagar.

The soundtrack is perfect complement for the whole film since it gives the perfect musical context to the different events exposed, its exponents are mostly classics so it succeeds in generating that atmosphere of mystery of the 40s.
La banda sonora es complemente perfecta para toda la cinta puesto que le da el contexto musical perfecto a los diferentes acontecimientos expuestos, sus exponentes son mayormente clásicos por lo que acierta en generar ese ambiente de misterio de los 40.
The construction of the world raises the fact that those who are not accepted in society can gather and dedicate their lives to entertainment, however it is made clear that it is a world that has no contemplation of the naïve or the helpless, taking advantage of the opportunity to generate income regardless of the legality or morality of things.
La construcción de mundo plantea el hecho de como aquellos que no son aceptados en la sociedad pueden reunirse y dedicar sus vidas al entretenimiento, sin embargo se deja claro que es un mundo que no tiene contemplación de los ingenuos ni de los desamparados, aprovechando la oportunidad de generar ingresos sin importar la legalidad o la moralidad de las cosas.
The plot is an enigma since it is never clear what the objective of it is, only things are happening and characters are added without any explanation. At first everything focuses on the adaptation of the protagonist to his new life in a circus with all kinds of renegades, constantly trying to improve his life but falling into a spiral of decline caused by his own ambitions. I have just summarized the whole film since it is extremely boring to watch and is slow as hell making the moments of action extremely few and not worth the wait.
La trama es un enigma puesto que nunca queda claro cuál es el objetivo de la misma solo van sucediendo cosas y se van agregando personajes sin alguna explicación. En un primer momento todo se centra en la adaptación del protagonista a su nueva vida en un circo con toda clase de renegados, intentando mejorar constantemente su vida pero cayendo en un espiral de decadencia provocada por sus propias ambiciones. Les acabo de resumir toda la cinta puesto que es sumamente aburrida de ver y es lenta como el carajo haciendo que los momentos de acción sean sumamente pocos y no vale la pena la espera.
The characters are a stone, they do not deepen at all, being reduced to simply doing things just because without justification or giving reasons. The worst exponent of this is the protagonist since he is the one who has the greatest focus of attention and only small flashes of characterization are given but nothing is reached, his motivation is defined simply as a greedy being and that same thing will cause him to go in decline; By focusing too much on that character flaw they make it very boring. Finally I will mention the antagonist who is in short words is a nonsense that seeks to harm the protagonist just because he likes to make her as bland as possible.
Los personajes son una piedra, no se profundizan en absoluto, quedando reducidos a sencillamente hacer las cosas solo porque si sin justificación o dar razones. El peor exponente de esto es el protagonista puesto que es el que tiene mayor foco de atención y solo se dan pequeños destellos de caracterización pero no se llega a nada, su motivación se define simplemente como un ser codicioso y que eso mismo le provocara a ir en declive; Al centrarse demasiado en ese defecto del personaje lo hacen muy aburrido. Por último mencionare a la antagonista que es en resumidas palabras un despropósito que busca perjudicar al protagonista solo porque le place haciéndola lo más sosa posible.
Nightmare Alley is a slow film devoid of emotion and action, even sinning of being a sermon by having a basic message that would be expected from any Disney movie. That is why it deserves a rating of 2,5 stars out of 7, the world it poses is very interesting but it sins of being too boring to see and any possible good intention that was had ends up dying miserably.
Nightmare Alley es una cinta lenta carente de emoción y acción, incluso peca de ser sermonera al tener un mensaje básico que se esperaría de cualquier película de Disney. Es por ello que merece una calificación de 2,5 estrellas de 7, el mundo que plantea es muy interesante pero peca de ser demasiado aburrida de ver y cualquier posible buena intención que se tuviera acaba muriendo miserablemente.
