[Movie review] [Eng | Esp] Black Panther: Wakanda Forever | Grief is hard to go through

Welcome my dear internet travelers who love heroes and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, something inevitable for a human being is death, which does not discriminate in any way and affects everyone equally, which is why Hollywood It is not exempt from this, it has a greater impact when it happens to the protagonist of a movie which happened in the film "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" which made its writers think when the unfortunate loss of Chadwick Boseman happened. Without further ado, put on black clothes, we are about to go to the funeral of a great hero.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released in 2022, directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Marvel Studios, it has a duration of 2 hours and 41 minutes. It is a story of action and superheroes, it focuses again on the nation of Wakanda, which must face the loss of its King and black panther T'Challa due to a heart condition, the rest of the nations of the world consider that the nation is in weak due to the death of their leader so they try to put pressure on it to trade vibranium for them, this tension with other nations will reach its most delicate point when a new civilization with vibranium is discovered and this puts the panther people in check black who will have to face a new threat without having his protector the Black Panther.

The soundtrack feels very traditional, just like the first installment, it seeks to evoke that African sensation that permeates every moment of the film, it feels in general terms as something pleasant.

There is not much to highlight here, the same scenario is used as in the predecessor without exploiting it in any way because it does not seek to expand it at any time nor to reuse what was exposed in the previous installment in a good way. This lack of importance due to the setting is transferred to the new city that it presents, being that it is presented fleetingly, lacking a focus that gives it the importance that it is supposed to have, this is a waste because in the little that was exhibited seemed to have many interesting elements that were not used in a good way.

Throughout the plot a very palpable melancholic air is noticeable because during the film the death of the protagonist is mentioned at all times, this is very respectful and pleasant because it gives a more depressive and serious tone to the film, the The problem with this is that it focuses a lot on this topic and leaves the rest of the elements unattended, causing them to detract from their value. The biggest problem with the film is that it doesn't feel like something independent, the events feel like the preamble to something bigger, since it doesn't know how to make good use of the more than 2 hours it has, becoming something tedious. The foregoing is confirmed with the resolution of the conflicts presented because it is too forced and reduces to nothing all the emotional and complex drama that was being handled.

Honestly, this is the most disappointing section, Shuri is the protagonist who had everything she needed to shine when having to go through various losses and the need to overcome for the good of her nation and her people, unfortunately it is an artificial development because it was throws away all the work she's been doing to give it depth, we're talking about a young woman in her twenties who has to deal with a lot of difficult things and feels like a complete empty robot, just disappointing. The rest of the characters don't matter, since they are all used to "develop" Shuri's character but she does not lead to anything because she ends up being very poor. The antagonist is pathetic so there is not much to say about it.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever promises many things and in the end it ends up being none, everything that it builds with respect to loss feels wasted and worthless because it fails to develop into something more than just absence and pain, being elements that can give a lot of play under any concept. That is why it deserves 2.5 stars out of 7, something good that can be highlighted is that it is very respectful of the deceased actor.
