Welcome my dear mafia travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, sometimes it provokes me to see a movie that has an absurd amount of violence and colorful combat movements, that is why it made me want to see "Romeo Must Die" something that does not have a complex plot but pure idiotic violence without more. Just get ready to use your Kung fu because we are about to start.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros mafiosos del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, a veces me provoca ver una película que tenga una cantidad absurda de violencia y movimientos de combate vistosos, es por ello que me dieron ganas de ver "Romeo Must Die" algo que no tenga una trama compleja sino pura violencia idiota sin más. Sin más que agregar prepárense para usar su Kung fu pues estamos por comenzar.
Romeo Must Die was released in 2000, directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and produced by Warner Bros., has a running time of 1 hour and 55 minutes. It is an action film, the story takes place in California where both the Chinese triad and African-American mobsters coexist, these relationships will become tense when the son of the head of the triad dies in mysterious circumstances, this being the starting point for conflicts to begin to accumulate unleashing a wave of various deaths on both sides. Todo lo anterior se complicará aún más cuando el hermano del fallecido se entere de su muerte y decida volar a Estados Unidos para vengar su muerte.

The world-building is uncreative at some points, although it seeks to have an atmosphere full of betrayals and unexpected twists seeking to show how complex and treacherous the underworld of crime is, it is still something that is seen in many films of this style, apart from the above there is not much to highlight regarding this point.
La construcción de mundo es poco creativa en algunos puntos, si bien esta busca tener una ambientación cargada de traiciones y de giros inesperados buscando evidenciar lo compljo y traicionero que es el submundo del crimen no deja de ser algo que se vea en muchas películas de este estilo, fuera de lo anterior no hay mucho que destacar con respecto a este punto.
Its plot revolves around the mystery about who murdered the son of the head of the Chinese triad, being something that is complicated due to the few clues left by his death giving some interesting touch to the film, this is seasoned with excellent amounts of violence that contain impossible and extremely colorful movements, in turn, It has in some points some humor that fits perfectly. The duration is moderately consistent, there are points that feel like leftovers but fortunately the above happens very rarely, the film has one or another plot twist as I mentioned earlier, the thing is that these are nothing complex or anything that resembles it, its impact is null and they are only an addition that does not contribute or take away anything.
Su trama gira en torno al misterio sobre quién asesinó al hijo del jefe de la tríada china, siendo algo que se va complicando debido a las escasas pistas que dejó su deceso dándole cierto toque interesante al filme, esto se encuentra sazonado con cantidades excelentes de violencia que contienen movimientos imposibles y sumamente vistosos, a su vez, tiene en algunos puntos algo de humor que encaja perfectamente. La duración es medianamente acorde, existen puntos que se sienten como sobrantes pero afortunadamente lo anterior pasa muy pocas veces, el filme tiene uno que otro giro argumental como bien mencioné anteriormente, la cosa es que estos no son nada complejos ni nada que se le asemeje, su impacto es nulo y solo son un añadido que no aporta ni quita nada.
The characters are quite generic and even in some cases they are clichés, there are some cases in which some present a certain charisma and feel funny but outside of that there is not much to highlight, in general none of them have a decent characterization or anything that resembles it.
Los personajes son bastante genéricos e incluso en algunos casos son clichés, existen algunos casos en que algunos presenten cierto carisma y se sientan graciosos pero fuera de ello no hay mucho que destacar, a rasgos generales ninguno tiene una caracterización decente ni nada que se le asemeje.
Romeo Must Die promises you good amounts of violence with colorful fight choreographies which makes these are entertaining, apart from that there is not much to highlight since both its characters and its narrative have a null development that allows them to have a minimum of complexity. It is for all of the above that it deserves 3 stars out of 7, it feels like the typical classic film where fists and bullets are the order of the day, it does not demand anything from the viewer beyond enjoying the violence that is the only thing it has to offer, consolidating itself as those typical simple but enjoyable tastes.
Romeo Must Die te promete buenas cantidades de violencia con coreografías vistosas de peleas lo que hace que estás resulten entretenidas, fuera de ello no hay mucho que destacar puesto que tanto sus personajes como su narrativa tienen un nulo desarrollo que les posibilite tener un mínimo de complejidad. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3 estrellas de 7, se siente como el típico filme clásico en donde los puños y balas están a la orden del día, no le exige nada al espectador más allá de disfrutar la violencia que es lo único que tiene para ofrecer consolidándose como esos típicos gustos simples pero disfrutables.
