Welcome dear internet travelers anime lovers and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, I have been somewhat inactive due to some personal things but I could not miss the opportunity to make the first review of the year on the first day of it and I can think of nothing better than to talk about a well-known classic anime called "Akira" a work that has been considered iconic and that sincerely I was very curious. Without more to add get ready to ride a motorcycle that our first adventure of the year is about to begin.
Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet amantes del anime y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, he estado algo inactivo debido a algunas cosas personales pero no podía perder la oportunidad de hacer la primera reseña del año en el primer día del mismo y no se me ocurre nada mejor que hablar sobre un clásico muy conocido del anime llamado "Akira" una obra que se ha considerado icónica y que sinceramente me daba mucha curiosidad. Sin más que agregar prepárense para andar en moto que nuestra primera aventura del año está por comenzar.
Akira is an animated film released in 1988, based on the manga of the same name created by Katsuhiro Otomo, who also directed the feature film, was produced by TMS Entertainment and how long with a duration of 2 hours and 4 minutes. It is a story of cyberpunk action, in the year 2019 Neo Tokyo is still recovering from the catastrophes left by the 3rd world war that took place 31 years ago, everything is still in chaos because there is both a political and social decline; in this city where laws are relative and this is where Shotaro Kaneda is the leader of a gang, committing crimes as he pleases. Akira es una película animada estrenada en 1988, basada en el manga del mismo nombre creado por Katsuhiro Otomo, quien también dirigido el largometraje, fue producida TMS Entertainment y cuánta con una duración de 2 horas y 4 minutos. Se trata de una historia de acción cyberpunk, en el año 2019 Neo Tokio aún se recupera de las catástrofes que dejó la 3.ª guerra mundial que tuvo lugar 31 años atrás, todo aún se encuentra en caos debido a que existe un declive tanto político como social; en esta ciudad en donde las leyes son relativas y es aquí en dónde Shotaro Kaneda es líder de una banda, cometiendo delitos como le place. Sin embargo todo se complicará cuando Tetsuo uno de sus amigos e integrante de la pandilla tenga un encuentro con un niño con extraños poderes, lo que hará que se den cuenta de forma cruel que la vida es más complicada y difícil que solo andar en motocicleta y hacer tonterías.

The soundtrack seems to me one of the most wonderful things that the film has, it is simply excellent, it is very consistent with the theme of the film and even makes it have an even more pleasant level due to the beautiful musical themes it uses, housing varied melodies that can make the viewer meditative as well as put him in expectation of what will happen.
La banda sonora me parece una de las cosas más maravillosas que tiene el filme, es sencillamente excelente, es muy concordante con la temática del filme e incluso lo hace tener un nivel aún más agradable debido a los temas musicales tan hermosos que utiliza, albergando melodías variadas que pueden poner meditativo al espectador como también ponerlo a la expectativa de lo que pasará.
The animation looks great, is fluid and has a color palette that chooses to give more vivid colors to the characters as to different objects to make them colorful and futuristic, leaves a more opaque palette to the backgrounds; In addition to the above is the fact that it houses a lot of movement that feels fluid and pleasant making the moments of action not feel static and/or boring. Last but not least is the fact that at some points it tries and manages to look grotesque to show raw and unpleasant moments.
La animación luce muy bien, es fluida y posee una paleta de colores que opta por darle colores más vivos a los personajes como a diferentes objetos para hacerlos vistosos y futuristas, deja una paleta más opaca a los fondos; aunado a lo anterior está el hecho de que alberga mucho movimiento que se nota fluido y agradable haciendo que los momentos de acción no se sientan estáticos y/o aburridos. Por último pero no menos importante está el hecho de que en algunos puntos intenta y consigue verse grotesca para mostrar momentos crudos y desagradables.
The best point of the film is undoubtedly its construction of the world, it is through this medium that it manages to better transmit its multiple messages: it manages to represent a moral, economic, religious, social and political debacle, all through a context made in an extremely excellent way that transmits all the scars that a war leaves to a country. A city in ruins, addicted people, religious devotees professing that following them and their god assures you salvation, corrupt politicians who only aspire to make their wealth greater, an oppressive government, crimes at all times, gangs, a resistance composed of people who do not know why they are part of it, among other things; all of the above mentioned is what the wonderful world of Akira has to offer, which is extremely enriched and knows how to take advantage of all the elements it has.
El mejor punto del filme es sin duda alguna su construcción de mundo, es mediante este medio que logra transmitir de mejor forma sus múltiples mensajes: logra representar una debacle moral, económica, religiosa, social y política, todo mediante un contexto hecho de forma sumamente excelente que transmite todas las cicatrices que le deja una guerra a un país. Una ciudad en ruinas, personas adictas, devotos religiosos profesando que seguirles a ellos y a su dios te asegura la salvación, políticos corruptos que solo aspiran hacer más grande sus riquezas, un gobierno opresor, delitos en todo momento, pandillas, una resistencia compuesta de personas que no saben por qué forman parte de esta, entre otras cosas; todo lo anterior mencionado es lo que tiene para ofrecer el maravilloso mundo de Akira que se encuentra sumamente enriquecido y sabe aprovechar todos los elementos que tiene.
This section has more ups and downs than the previous one, the plot includes good moments of comedy, action and science fiction enough for the film to have its own character, the narrative is somewhat ambiguous at some points since the objective is to invite the viewer to reflect, that's fine, saved one or another point that is a little in the air but it is still understandable with a little effort. The themes he holds are pleasant since he emphasizes rebirth after destruction, being a perfect simile about life itself that can make anyone meditate on how creation and destruction form a balance in which one merits the other. Finally, I will highlight the fact that it develops different things that in the end converge in a logical and plausible plot that does not feel forced or out of place.
Este apartado tiene más altibajos que el anterior, la trama incluye buenos momentos de comedia, acción y ciencia ficción suficiente como para que el filme tenga su propio carácter, la narrativa es algo ambigua en algunos puntos puesto que el objetivo es invitar a la reflexión al espectador, eso está bien, salvó uno que otro punto que queda un poco en el aire pero igual es entendible con un poco de esfuerzo. Los temas que sostiene son agradables puesto que destaca el renacimiento después de la destrucción, siendo un símil perfecto sobre la vida misma que puede poner a meditar a cualquiera sobre el como la creación y la destrucción forman un equilibrio en el que uno amerita del otro. Por último destacaré el hecho de que va desarrollando diferentes cosas que al final convergen en una trama lógica y plausible que no se siente forzada ni fuera de lugar.
The characters are a particular case, these have enough focus to have a good characterization but have little level of deepening, Kaneda is a good example of this, he is the protagonist with a decent characterization but that does not imply that he feels deep, he goes through different moments that could have made him grow and mature both mentally and emotionally although that task is not really achieved. The antagonist Tetsuo, on the other hand, if he feels better worked, different facets of it are shown and the feelings he evokes when facing the consequences of his actions are extremely touching which gives him a very human degree for his genuine regret. What does feel pleasant is the relationship that these 2 maintain being that it makes more understandable the character they have and their feeling of camaraderie despite everything. Other characters are interesting, such as the colonel however do not finish being developed so they lose importance.
Los personajes son un caso particular, estos tienen el enfoque suficiente para tener una buena caracterización pero tienen poco nivel de profundización, Kaneda es un buen ejemplo de esto, es el protagonista con una caracterización decente más eso no implica que se sienta profundo, atraviesa diferentes momentos que podrían haberlo hecho crecer y madurar de forma tanto mental como emocional aunque realmente no se consigue ese cometido. El antagonista Tetsuo en cambio si se siente mejor trabajado, se muestran diferentes facetas de este y los sentimientos que evoca al afrontar las consecuencias de sus actos son sumamente enternecedores lo que le da un grado muy humano por su genuino arrepentimiento. Lo que si se siente agradable es la relación que mantienen estos 2 siendo que hace más entendible el carácter que tienen y su sentimiento de camaradería pese a todo. Otros personajes son interesantes, cómo por ejemplo el coronel sin embargo no terminan de ser desarrollados por lo que pierden importancia.
Akira is a classic unmissable for several reasons being the main one the fact that it is a criticism of the different things that are a cancer for society being that you are slowly rotting it until it ends up being a stripping of what it was, highlighting the importance of values such as respect and empathy because it highlights them as fundamental elements to maintain order and good relations between the people. That is why it gave it a rating of 5.5 stars out of 7, has very good reasons to consider a cult film and without a doubt it is an unmissable appointment not only for those who like anime but for those who wish to see something that will invite them to think.
Akira es un clásico imperdible por varias razones siendo la principal el hecho de que es una crítica a las diferentes cosas que son un cáncer para la sociedad siendo que estás van pudriéndola lentamente hasta que está termina siendo un despojo de lo que era, destacando la importancia de valores como el respeto y la empatía debido a que los resalta como elementos fundamentales para mantener el orden y las buenas relaciones entre las personas. Es por todo ello que le otorgó una calificación de 5.5 estrellas de 7, tiene muy buenas razones para considerarse un filme de culto y sin duda alguna es una cita imperdible no solo para aquellos que les guste el anime sino para aquellos que deseen ver algo que los invitará a pensar.
