Hello my people, today is a new day and it is perfect to talk about a good movie, as I have told you before I have children, by my own volunda I don't usually watch animated movies, but since I have children I have seen many more than I can count, many of them I didn't like, but there were also some that were good and that gave me a couple of hours of fun or even entertainment. That was the case of the movie I am going to tell you about today.
I know that many of you have already seen it, it is Coco, a Disney-Pixar animated movie that was released almost 5 years ago. It is about Miguel, a 12 year old boy who lives in Mexico with his family. Miguel is a music lover, but his family is opposed to his music because of a family history: his great-grandfather abandoned his wife and daughter to pursue his music career and made them suffer. However, Miguel is determined to follow his dreams and dreams of playing the guitar like his hero, the famous musician Ernesto de la Cruz.
The film begins with Miguel, who lives with his family in a Mexican village, preparing to celebrate the Day of the Dead, a holiday in which families honor their loved ones who have passed away. Miguel is not interested in the tradition and is focused on other things, such as participating in his town's talent show, but his grandmother, Coco, prevents him from doing so. He still disobeys and escapes, causing some disasters that lead him to accidentally end up in the world of the dead.
Hola mi gente, hoy es un nuevo día y está perfecto para hablar de una buena película, como les he contado antes tengo hijos, por volunda propia no suelo ver películas animadas, pero desde que tengo niños he visto muchas más de las que puedo contar, muchas de ellas no me gustaron, pero también hubieron algunas que si fueron buenas y que me brindaron un par de horas de diversión o hasta entretenimiento. Ese fue el caso de la película de la que les hablaré hoy.
Sé que muchos de ustedes ya la habrán visto, se trata de Coco, una película animada de Disney-Pixar que fue estrenada hace casi 5 años. Trata de Miguel, un niño de 12 años que vive en México con su familia. Miguel es un amante de la música, pero su familia se opone a que la practique debido a una historia familiar: su bisabuelo abandonó a su esposa e hija para perseguir su carrera musical y las hizo sufrir. Sin embargo, Miguel está decidido a seguir sus sueños y sueña con tocar la guitarra como su héroe, el famoso músico Ernesto de la Cruz.
La película comienza con Miguel, quien vive con su familia en un pueblo mexicano, preparándose para celebrar el Día de los Muertos, una festividad en la que las familias honran a sus seres queridos que han fallecido. Miguel no está interesado en la tradición y está concentrado en otras cosas, como en participar en el concurso de talentos de su pueblo, pero su abuela, Coco, se lo impide. Aún así desobedece y se escapa causando algunos desastres que hacen que termine accidentalmente en el mundo de los muertos.
The movie is quite beautiful visually speaking, with colors everywhere and with a lot of detail of the Mexican culture and their celebration of the Day of the Dead, in fact it was in that movie that I learned about that tradition they have, which I found interesting. But what really makes Coco a cool movie to watch is its message and its soundtrack. I had a good time listening to those songs full of feelings, the one about remember me brought a tear or two to my eye, I couldn't help it and the story, goes beyond a children's movie like the ones I've seen.
The film focuses almost entirely on family, music and culture. Miguel's relationship with his family is one of the key points of the story, and the way it develops throughout the film is beautiful. Also, music is an important element in the life of Miguel and his whole family, and the soundtrack of the movie is good, if you like this kind of music. There are funny and touching songs, and each one is carefully integrated into the plot.
One of the most interesting aspects of Coco is how it depicts death and the afterlife. Through the story, we learn about the Mexican belief that the dead can return to the world of the living during the Day of the Dead, and how the memory of those who have passed away is important to keep them close, maybe some of us don't have this culture, but it's always good to learn from what others believe, it makes us able to understand.
In the world of the dead, Miguel meets his great-great-grandmother Coco and her deceased ancestors. He discovers that the dead do not disappear completely, but live on in the hearts and memories of their loved ones. He also learns that the true legacy we leave behind is the love and connection we have with our families, he learned this in time, as he was going through a stage where he felt that his family was against him and against his greatest dreams.
La película es bastante bonita visualmente hablando, con colores por todas partes y con mucho detallede la cultura mexicana y su celebración del Día de los Muertos, de hecho fue en esa película que supe sobre esa tradición que tienen, que me pareció interesante. Pero lo que realmente hace que Coco sea una película chevere para ver, es su mensaje y su banda Sonora. La pasé bien escuchando esas canciones llenas de sentimientos, la de recuerdame me sacó una que otra lagrima, no lo pude evitar y la historia, va más allá de una película de niños como las que he visto.
La película se centra prácticamente en la familia, la música y la cultura. La relación de Miguel con su familia es uno de los puntos clave de la historia, y la forma en que se desarrolla a lo largo de la película es hermosa. Además, la música es un elemento importante en la vida de Miguel y de toda su familia, y la banda sonora de la película es buena, si te agrada este tipo de música. Hay canciones divertidas y conmovedoras, y cada una está cuidadosamente integrada en la trama.
Uno de los aspectos más interesantes de Coco es cómo representa la muerte y la vida después de la muerte. A través de la historia, aprendemos sobre la creencia mexicana en que los muertos pueden regresar al mundo de los vivos durante el Día de los Muertos, y cómo la memoria de aquellos que han fallecido es importante para mantenerlos cerca, quizás algunos de nosotros no tengamos esta cultura, pero siempre es bueno aprender de lo que otros creen, eso hace que podamos comprender.
En el mundo de los muertos, Miguel conoce a su tatarabuela Coco y a sus antepasados fallecidos. Descubre que los muertos no desaparecen por completo, sino que viven en los corazones y recuerdos de sus seres queridos. También aprende que el verdadero legado que dejamos es el amor y la conexión que tenemos con nuestras familias, esto lo aprendió a tiempo, ya que pasaba por una etapa en la que sentía que su familia estaba en su contra y en contra de sus más grandes sueños.
The film also addresses important themes such as self-identity and the importance of pursuing one's dreams. Miguel fights for his passion for music and faces opposition from his family. But throughout the film, he learns the importance of being true to himself and following his dreams, even if it means challenging others, something we all really need to look at, as we tend to give up what we love when we don't have the support of others.
Without going into spoilers, the revelation in the third act changes the way we see the story and adds an additional layer of emotion and meaning. I liked the animation quite a bit, and the world of the dead is visually very beautiful and attention-grabbing. There is meticulous attention to detail in every scene, and the music and color come together to create a unique cinematic experience. It seems to me that each character is uniquely designed in great detail. The film also has a cast of memorable and well-written characters. Miguel is a charismatic and passionate protagonist whose determination and bravery are inspiring. The character of Hector, a wandering spirit from the world of the dead, is my favorite and gives the plot and provides an effective counterpoint to Miguel. The relationship between Miguel and Hector is one of the most emotional pieces of the film.
It is a movie you will enjoy watching if you haven't seen it, it is more than a kids movie and for me at least it made me reflect a lot about my family, the disagreements and unnecessary fights we sometimes had, so I recommend that you watch it and you can realize for yourself this gem.
La película también aborda temas importantes como la identidad propia y la importancia de perseguir nuestros sueños. Miguel lucha por su pasión por la música y se enfrenta a la oposición de su familia. Pero a lo largo de la película, aprende la importancia de ser fiel a sí mismo y seguir sus sueños, incluso si eso significa desafiar a los demás, algo que la verdad a todos nos viene bien analizar, pues solemos abandonar lo que nos gusta cuando no contamos con el apoyo de los demás.
Sin entrar en spoilers, la revelación en el tercer acto cambia la forma en que vemos la historia y añade una capa adicional de emoción y significado. La animación me gustó bastante, y el mundo de los muertos es visualmente muy bonito y que llama la atención. Hay una atención meticulosa al detalle en cada escena, y la música y el color se unen para crear una experiencia cinematográfica única. Me parece que cada personaje está diseñado de manera única y con gran detalle. La película también tiene un elenco de personajes memorables y bien escritos. Miguel es un protagonista carismático y apasionado, cuya determinación y valentía son inspiradoras. El personaje de Héctor, un espíritu errante del mundo de los muertos, es mi favorito y le da a la trama y proporciona un contrapunto efectivo a Miguel. La relación entre Miguel y Héctor es una de las piezas más emotivas de la película.
Es una película que les gustará ver si no la han visto, es más que una película para niños y a mi por lo menos me hizo reflexionar mucho sobre mi familia, los desacuerdos y las peleas innecesarias que a veces tuvimos, por eso recomiendo que la vean y puedan darse cuenta por ustedes mismo de esta joya.
