Bad movie.
1.
The Punisher week goes on, today I decided to watch The Punisher from 2004 and that movie was very bad. I thought the worst would be 1989, where many effects were contractual and stupidity terrified, but the worst is 2004, and I have a lot of reasons to say so, but all in good time.
The first thing that catches the eye negatively is the music that is a combination of the movie The Rock with Edward Scissorhands, listening to the track until your ears bleed, The movie was supposed to be strong and the atmosphere of the music completely sucked out the rest of the darkness, only the dancing bunnies were missing.
Another disadvantage is the main character, as long as I was clinging to the appearance of the Punisher from 2008, that it does not match, I think that the actor played tragically in the version from 2004, Dolp played a big exaggeration in 1989, his facial expressions and characteristics fit the same actor who played in 2008, but what the actor did in the 2004 version was a failure. each scene with him makes the viewer fall asleep. 2 hour hard labor for the eyes.
The next drawback is, unfortunately, the scenario that mixes and changes so much that we end up with an indigestible film. The role of revenge is very poorly shown here, as it is, but most of the time, Frank doesn't even know how to take revenge, and the main antagonist, Howard, is not very intelligent either. In some places it seems as if the script was written on my knee.
The humorous thread in this film is even offensive to the viewer because we get the worst comedians because we get a former drug addict, his plump friend and a neighbor who works in a restaurant, they all live in Frank's block. Each scene with them causes such disgust with the entire movie.
Another disadvantage is brutality or its complete erasure. The film from 2008 did his homework and the orchid strong cinema, while the film from 1989 had an interesting script where brutality did not count so much.
2.
Here we have nothing, no climate and no brutality, a group of mafiosos who eliminate themselves like lemmings who hit a bad obstacle. It would seem that the 2008 film should be worse because it is a remake, but it was from 2004 that he was castrated from everything and the joyful music made my ears bleed with his whipping Frank, getting bullets.
The plot in the film is terribly flawed and arbitrary, I can understand that the film was aimed at a younger audience, but although appearances could be left, it was the famous Punisher.
I wonder why someone accepted such a mediocre scenario, where Frank gets a few bullets in a rhyme and suddenly five months is still alive.
3.
There are many moments in the film, as long as it is neatly explained in the comics and it is a comic, so the film must follow a different path because the viewers see more.
Plot.
The film is about Frank working with the police and being a cool agent. After one of the missions, he learns that the son of some famous mafia survivor has died, so he counts the order and is to go with his wife and son to London and live there, but earlier he decides to visit his father, in the meantime the terrible and sinister mafia Howard discovers the identity of who killed his son about orders the killing of Frank's family.
4.
Frank, sitting on the island, I do not suspect that in a moment hell will begin, in the meantime he gets the worst scene when his son gives Frank the famous and symbolic T-shirt, telling him that he scares away evil demons (hahahahah) After the massacre, Frank lives on the island or rather convalescence because let's remember that he got a few cols;) after 5 months he got bored with living on a picturesque island so he returns to the city and lives in a block with a junkie and a plump and a restaurant lady (each scene with these three characters was embarrassing) In the meantime Howard finds out where he eats Frank so sends a Puerto Rican murderer with a guitar (I admit he was an interesting character and you watched the whole scene with interest, despite being terribly short) and then sends the stereotypical Russian to his apartment (another comedy scene). decided to go to Howard and deal with him (it was too much;))
5.
The skirmish itself and the intrigue were very weak, although the plot of revenge without killing was interesting up to a point (getting rid of the wife and friend), but then the stupidity grew to such a power that it could not be stopped.
Maybe this film would have some chance of existence if the music was mentioned, the actor, the script and the place of action.
John Travolta played briefly, but his role was as demonic and sinister Howard, it is a pity that director Jonathan Hensleigh when creating this film, he was learning because he saw a huge number of mistakes even in directing the characters.
It could have been a good movie, maybe non-violent, but with great characters, but we get something that won't even focus on the movie.
In my week of Punisher this movie is the worst and apart from a few scenes there was nothing in it that could catch your eye on the whole screening.

3/10 could be good and it turned out as always. Frank falls in his coffin when he sees what films are coming out.
