¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, no crean que porque estuve ocupada y ajetreada con los preparativos de mi graduación quiere decir que me perdí el estreno de una de mis series favoritas, porque si eso creyeron pues les digo que se equivocaron 🤭, obviamente que estuve al tanto de dicho estreno, tanto así que me acabé los primeros 4 capítulos en tan solo una noche, y desde ya les digo que los disfrute un montón ✨, lo cual me sorprende porque cuando leí los libros, la historia de Benedict era la que menos me gustaba, y aún así ésta podría ser de mis temporadas favoritas 🌝, pero antes de adelantarme mejor hablemos a profundidad de Bridgerton Temporada 4 Parte 1 🎭💖
Hello Hello Community! ✨, Don't think that just because I was busy and preoccupied with my graduation preparations, I missed the premiere of one of my favourite series, because if you thought that, you're wrong 🤭. Obviously, I was aware of the premiere, so much so that I finished the first four episodes in just one night, and I can tell you right now that I enjoyed them a lot ✨, which surprises me because when I read the books, Benedict's story was the one I liked the least, and yet this could be one of my favourite seasons 🌝. But before I get ahead of myself, let's talk in depth about Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 🎭💖.
💖 SINOPSIS || SYNOPSIS 🏖️
Benedict Bridgerton ha caído. 💖 UN AMOR SIN MÁSCARAS || UNMASK TRUE LOVE 🎭
Demos un aplauso de pie, porque la producción de ésta serie entendió con ésta temporada, que si se apega al libro lo más que pueda, todo le sale mejor 👏🏼😂. Honestamente hay muchas cosas que no recuerdo de los libros, en especial del libro de Benedict, porque como dije al inicio es la historia que menos me gustó, ¿La razón? pues solo basta ver el final del capítulo 4 de la temporada para obtener la respuesta, porque sí, en el libro Benedict le ofrece exactamente lo mismo, sin embargo en la serie ésta propuesta es un poquito diferente. Y es que, aunque aplaudo que hayan respetado fielmente la historia, sí me gustó que hicieran un ligero cambio en cuanto a la “obsesión” que tiene Benedict por encontrar a la Dama Plateada.
Aunque aquí eso claramente está, la razón de la propuesta que él le hace a Sophie, en el libro gira principalmente alrededor de la idea de que, inevitablemente él logrará encontrar a la Dama Plateada y se casará con ella, porque ésta “sí es una señorita de sociedad”, pero como obviamente no puede dejar ir a Sophie, pues le ofrece lo que ya sabemos. Aquí en la serie, sentí que la motivación de Benedict va más arraigada a la concepción de “amor prohibido”, de hecho los capítulos te llevan por ese camino que él transita hasta tomar esa decisión, porque lo ve como la única forma de estar con ella, obviamente es una idea horrible, pero al menos no se ve tan canalla como en el libro 🤦🏻♀️.
Let's give them a standing ovation, because the producers of this series understood this season that if they stick to the book as closely as possible, everything turns out better 👏🏼😂. Honestly, there are many things I don't remember from the books, especially Benedict's book, because as I said at the beginning, it's the story I liked the least. The reason? Well, you only have to watch the end of episode 4 of the season to get the answer, because yes, in the book Benedict offers her exactly the same thing, but in the series this proposal is a little different. Although I applaud the fact that they have faithfully respected the story, I did like that they made a slight change in terms of Benedict's ‘obsession’ with finding the Silver Lady.
Although this is clearly present here, the reason for his proposal to Sophie in the book revolves mainly around the idea that he will inevitably find the Silver Lady and marry her, because she is ‘a lady of society’, but as he obviously cannot let Sophie go, he offers her what we already know. Here in the series, I felt that Benedict's motivation is more rooted in the concept of ‘forbidden love.’ In fact, the episodes take you down that path he travels until he makes that decision, because he sees it as the only way to be with her. Obviously, it's a horrible idea, but at least he doesn't come across as such a scoundrel as he does in the book 🤦🏻♀️.
Los protagonistas ahora sí son protagonistas 😂, bendita sea la persona que tomó éstas decisiones creativas, de verdad espero le suban el sueldo. Se acabó lo de darle más importancia a las historias secundarias, que éstas no desaparecieron, siguen allí y una que otra es interesante de ver, pero ya no son el foco principal de los capítulos, ahora la atención se centra en quienes debe: los protagonistas. Y ésto eleva un montón la calidad de la historia, porque se supone que cada hermano Bridgerton tiene un único momento para brillar, y es en su temporada, luego debe pasar a un segundo plano, pero si en su propia temporada se siente como una pintura al fondo de la pantalla, pues es evidente que la fanaticada se va a quejar, y eso tristemente es lo que pasó en la temporada 3 y un poco en la temporada 2 también.
Aquí eso se acabó, no obstante hay un par de historias secundarias que de alguna manera llamaron mi atención y la principal es la de Eloise, de verdad quiero que la siguiente temporada sea la suya, y creo que tras los eventos de ésta temporada y el rol que le ha tocado ocupar, puede que sea el indicio para su historia, aunque he de admitir que en vez de sentir un avance en su personaje, he notado es cierto retroceso, y eso me hace pensar en cómo harán para desarrollar de manera creíble, que un personaje como el de ella, acabe enamorada y casada 🤔.
The protagonists are now truly protagonists 😂. Bless the person who made these creative decisions; I really hope they get a raise. Gone are the days of giving more importance to the secondary stories. These haven't disappeared; they're still there, and some of them are interesting to watch, but they are no longer the main focus of the episodes. Now the attention is focused where it should be: on the protagonists. And this greatly enhances the quality of the story, because each Bridgerton sibling is supposed to have a single moment to shine, and that is during their season, after which they should take a back seat. But if they feel like a painting in the background during their own season, then it's obvious that the fans are going to complain, and sadly that's what happened in season 3 and a little bit in season 2 as well.
That's over now, but there are a couple of subplots that caught my attention, the main one being Eloise's. I really want the next season to be hers, and I think that after the events of this season and the role she has had to play, it may be a hint at her story, although I must admit that instead of feeling that her character has progressed, I have noticed a certain regression, and that makes me wonder how they will manage to develop a character like hers in a credible way, ending up in love and married.
La segunda historia secundaria que llamó mi atención fue la de Francesca, fuera de la inconformidad que ha generado los cambios que pretenden hacer para su historia, me parece que ésta misma situación ha llevado a que no logremos ver la complejidad en la dinámica entre Jonh, Francesca y Michaela 🤔, porque lo que yo noté hasta cierto punto es que Michaela es un tercero en discordia, pero no de forma romántica (hasta ahora) sino como el rol que podría jugar una suegra ¿No sé si me explico?, es como si Fran realmente quisiera tener momentos a solas con su esposo, de conexión e intimidad emocional, pero cuando ya está por lograrlo, aparece Michaela 🤔.
Todo apunta a un gran giro en la historia de Fran, pero de momento pareciera que es algo más lo que nos están intentando contar, y la fanaticada no está sabiendo verla. Aún así, siento una enorme molestia por el cambio en la relación entre Fran y John, sobre todo porque muy probablemente él ya no nos acompañe en el futuro próximo (muy próximo), y me habría gustado ver una relación diferente entre ellos dos.
The second subplot that caught my attention was Francesca's. Aside from the discontent generated by the changes they intend to make to her story, I think this very situation has prevented us from seeing the complexity in the dynamic between John, Francesca, and Michaela 🤔, because what I noticed to a certain extent is that Michaela is a third wheel, but not in a romantic way (so far) but rather in the role that a mother-in-law might play. I don't know if I'm explaining myself clearly, but it's as if Fran really wants to have moments alone with her husband, moments of connection and emotional intimacy, but just when she's about to achieve that, Michaela appears.
Everything points to a big twist in Fran's story, but at the moment it seems like there's something else they're trying to tell us, and the fans aren't seeing it. Still, I feel very upset about the change in the relationship between Fran and John, especially because he will most likely not be with us in the near (very near) future, and I would have liked to see a different relationship between the two of them.
