Have you seen those kids out there who seem "weird" because they believe in things that others don't and seem to have a somewhat strange worldview? Well, I was one of those; so I'm going to take advantage of the Moviesonhive Halloween Competition to bring out all my freakism 😅 and talk about one of my youthful passions which was watching series and movies about extraterrestrial life.
I'm a cowardly person when watching movies or series, I admit it, that's why I didn't know what to make my entry to the competition with since I watch few movies that are scary or related to Halloween (which is what I assumed was what it would be about) but knowing that I could talk about aliens I said: excellent! 🤗 And is that friends before being this fearful that I am today, I loved all this world of paranormalities, in fact, so much belief in this world is that I stayed away from this type of productions by the fear that began to cause me at the end.
I was that introverted girl who in her free time preferred instead of going out with friends to parties or having lots of boyfriends, to read books about paranormal stories or weird movies, but my fascination always focused on extraterrestrial life, and this came from my all-time favorite series THE X FILES, which, by the way, I did a review of a while ago Here
I have already told you about that series and how I feel it shaped my personality, and among those things that the X Files made me learn is to believe in life on other planets, believe it or not I owe part of my education to Mulder and Scully, they taught me that not everything in life was to study, on the contrary, they taught me that if I studied I could have more access to them and that my parents would let me read, listen and watch whatever I wanted, so education actually ended up being more than a goal, a way for me to achieve what I really wanted 🤭.
¿Han visto esos chicos por ahí que parecen “raros” porque creen en cosas que los demás no y parecieran tener una visión del mundo un tanto extraña? Pues, yo era una de esas; así que voy a aprovechar la Competencia de Halloween de moviesonhive para sacar todo mi Frikismo 😅 y hablar de una de mis pasiones juveniles que era ver series y películas sobre vida extraterrestre.
Soy una persona cobarde al ver películas o series, lo admito, por eso no sabía con qué hacer mi entrada a la competencia ya que veo pocas películas que den miedo o relacionadas a Halloween (que es lo que asumí que era de lo que se trataría) pero al saber que podía hablar de extraterrestres dije: ¡excelente! 🤗 Y es que amigos antes de ser esta miedosa que soy hoy en día, yo amaba todo este mundo de paranormalidades, de hecho, de tanto creer en este mundo es que me alejé de este tipo de producciones por el miedo que me empezó a causar al final.
Yo era esa esa chica introvertida que en sus ratos libres prefería en vez de salir con amigos a fiestas o tener muchos novios, ponerme a leer libros de historias paranormales o películas raras, pero mi fascinación siempre se enfocó en la vida extraterrestre, y esto surgió a partir de mi serie favorita de todos los tiempos THE X FILES, de la cual, por cierto, hice una review hace un tiempo Aquí
Ya les he hablado de esa serie y de cómo siento que moldeó mi personalidad, y entre esas cosas que me hizo aprender los X Files está creer en la vida en otros planetas, aunque no lo crean yo les debo parte de mi educación a Mulder y Scully, ellos me enseñaron que no todo en la vida era estudiar, al contrario, me enseñaron que si estudiaba yo podía tener más acceso a ellos y que mis padres me dejaran leer, escuchar y ver lo que yo quisiera, así que la educación en realidad terminó siendo más que un objetivo, un camino para lograr lo que yo quería en realidad 🤭.
Don't get me wrong, studying is important, in fact, I wanted to be a doctor just like Scully; what I mean is that doing, reading, listening and watching whatever makes you happy in your adolescence is more so! So my parents, since I was doing well in school, and it was what mattered the most to them, they let me do whatever I wanted, they gave me lots of books I liked when I got my grades from school and they let me spend many hours in front of the TV at whatever time I wanted and watching whatever I liked, so bingo! Studying gave me double benefits and I felt doubly motivated.
That's how I came to this marvel of the seventh art of Steven Spielberg called "Close Encounters of the Third Kind ", of course I didn't see it when it was released because it was in 1974 and I was not even close to being born by that time, I saw it more than 2 decades later, or maybe 3? I don't remember exactly.
This movie made my dreams come true in that moment of incomprehension and frikism in which I found myself, I had no one to share my tastes with, my friends all had similar tastes among them, but I was very different, I always thought there was much more out there than what my eyes could see or what I was taught in school.
This movie came to revolutionize the way life on other planets was seen until that moment, because UFOs and aliens had always been seen as something terrifying, something very scary, related to abductions, disappearances of people, experimentation or episodes of "madness" in the abductees, anything bad you could imagine.
By that time, the human culpability for many events had been put aside, now it was the extraterrestrials who were to blame for many of these worldwide. Strangely enough, the information about alien sightings began to diminish and then other theories began to emerge that were now to blame for other events, how convenient, right? But for the Dalla of that time, everything that this movie told was too true.
No me vayan a malinterpretar, estudiar es importante, de hecho, yo quería ser médico igual que Scully; lo que quiero decir es que hacer, leer, escuchar y ver lo que te haga feliz en tu adolescencia ¡lo es más! Así que mis padres cómo me iba bien en el colegio, y era lo que a ellos más les importaba, me dejaban hacer lo que yo quisiera, me regalaban muchos libros que me gustaban al recibir mis notas del colegio y me permitían pasar muchas horas frente a la TV a la hora que yo quisiera y viendo lo que me gustaba, así que ¡bingo! El estudiar me daba doble beneficio y me sentía doblemente motivada.
Es así como llegué a esta maravilla del séptimo arte de Steven Spielberg llamada "Encuentros cercanos del tercer tipo", por supuesto no la vi cuando la estrenaron porque fue en 1974 y yo no estaba ni cerca de nacer para ese tiempo, la vi más de 2 décadas después, o ¿tal vez 3? no lo recuerdo con exactitud.
Esta película hizo mis sueños realidad en ese momento de incomprensión y frikismo en el que yo me encontraba, no tenía a nadie con quien compartir mis gustos, mis amigos todos tenían gustos similares entre ellos, pero yo era muy distinta, yo siempre pensé que había mucho más allá afuera de lo que mis ojos podían ver o me enseñaban en la escuela.
Esta película llegó a revolucionar la forma como se veía la vida en otros planetas hasta ese momento, y es que los OVNIS y extraterrestres siempre habían sido visto como algo de terror, algo que daba mucho miedo, relacionado con secuestros, desapariciones de personas, experimentaciones o episodios de “locura” en los abducidos, cualquier cosa mala que tu pudieras imaginar.
Para ese momento, ya se había dejado de lado la culpabilidad del ser humano con respecto a muchos acontecimientos, ahora eran los extraterrestres los culpables de muchos de estos a nivel mundial. Extrañamente la información de los avistamientos de extraterrestres empezó a disminuir y luego se dio pie a otras teorías que eran ahora las culpables de otros aconteceres ¡que conveniente! ¿Cierto? Pero para la Dalla de ese tiempo todo eso que contaba esta película gozaba de demasiada veracidad.
This film happened to be the second box office success of Steven Spielberg, a man who came to revolutionize the cinema known until that moment and of which you can see his beginnings with this work of art and Jaws, which were his first blockbusters and continue today where we can still enjoy his wonderful creations.
I know, maybe the story of aliens, spaceships and government conspiracy theories are not your thing and that's why you do not want to see this movie, but if you are a true lover of the seventh art, you're going to love it! And it shows the beauty of the beginning of film productions and how special effects began to be made with a series of beautiful frames of scenes that you will never forget!
To make this review I re-watched this movie, because my memory sadly is very bad and I needed to show here not only what this movie meant to me, but also what it is about and I did not remember exactly the sequence of events, I only remembered the feelings I have for it and what it meant to me, because that is how memory works friends, maybe we do not remember images or words, but we will remember what they left emotionally in us, that which we perceive through the senses.
This film is beautiful, not only for what I tell you, but for its production and what Spielberg had to do to get it out, in a way it was the beginning of conspiracy theories that life on another planet has been covered up by the governments of the world, something that was already being handled at that time, but what really came to revolutionize history was the main message that this film left.
This movie left people thinking about the premise of what if what these unknown entities were looking for wasn't necessarily such a bad thing, what if they were looking for a way to communicate with humans? Humans have long wanted to investigate other planets and if there is life on them, couldn't other beings do the same? Of course, this theory was not the most widely accepted at the time, because, perhaps, it is not what was sought to propagate in the population at that time... for what reason? We will never know with certainty...
Esta película pasó a ser el segundo éxito en taquilla de Steven Spielberg, un hombre que llegó a revolucionar el cine conocido hasta ese momento y del cual puedes ver sus comienzos con esta obra de arte y Tiburón, que fueron sus primeras superproducciones y continuar en la actualidad donde podemos aún disfrutar de sus maravillosas creaciones.
Lo sé, puede que tal vez la historia de extraterrestres, naves espaciales y teorías conspirativas gubernamentales no sean lo tuyo y por eso no te llame la atención ver esta película, pero si eres un verdadero amante del séptimo arte ¡la vas a amar! Y es que ella muestra la belleza del inicio de las producciones cinematográficas y de cómo empezaron a realizarse los efectos especiales con una serie de hermosos cuadros de escenas que ¡jamás vas a olvidar!
Para hacer esta reseña volví a ver esta película, porque mi memoria tristemente es muy mala y yo necesitaba demostrar aquí no solo lo que significó esta película para mí, sino además de lo que ella trata y no recordaba con exactitud la secuencia de los hechos, solo recordaba los sentimientos que tengo por ella y lo que significó para mí, porque así funciona la memoria amigos, tal vez no recordemos imágenes o palabras, pero sí recordaremos lo que dejaron emocionalmente en nosotros, eso que percibimos a través de los sentidos.
Esta película es hermosa, no solo por lo que les cuento, sino por su producción y lo que tuvo que hacer Spielberg para sacarla, de cierta forma fue el inicio de las teorías conspirativas de que la vida en otro planeta ha sido encubierta por los gobiernos del mundo, cosa que ya se manejaba para esa época, pero lo que realmente vino a revolucionar la historia fue el mensaje principal que este film dejaba.
Esta película dejaba a la gente pensando en una premisa ¿qué pasaría si lo que buscan esas entidades desconocidas, no necesariamente es algo tan malo?¿Y si buscaban una forma de comunicación con el ser humano? Los humanos desde hace mucho han querido investigar sobre los otros planetas y si hay presencia de vida en ellos ¿acaso no podían otros seres hacer lo mismo? Por supuesto esta teoría no era la que gozaba de mayor aceptación en ese momento, porque, tal vez, no es lo que se buscó propagar en la población en esos tiempos… ¿por qué motivo? Nunca lo sabremos con certeza…
The film is about an electronic engineer named Roy, an average American citizen, father of 3 children and married, with problems like those of any human being who is responsible for a family, who one night after a local blackout suffers an event that makes him feel and see things he never thought he could, and from then on he has a perennial need to find out what happened and where it came from that caused all that he felt.
On the other hand, he has a permanent need to repeat a pattern, something he does not understand, an obsessive thought that sneaks into his daily life, a thought that does not let him continue with his normal life because he can only focus on it; Roy must face this situation, he has 2 options or look for the origin of what happens to him or simply forget about it, will Roy be able to turn that page in his life and continue with his normal life? Or will he try to find an explanation to what he saw and now feels, what really happened to Roy, what will be the decision he will make?
La película trata sobre un ingeniero electrónico llamado Roy, es un ciudadano americano promedio, padre de 3 hijos y casado, con problemas como los de cualquier ser humano que es el responsable de una familia, quien en una noche posterior a un apagón local sufre un evento que lo hace sentir y ver cosas que jamás pensó que podía, y a partir de ahí queda con una necesidad permanente de descubrir qué fue lo que pasó y de donde vino eso que le causó todo eso que él percibió.
Por otro lado, tiene una necesidad constante de repetir un patrón, algo que no entiende, un pensamiento obsesivo que se cuela en su día a día, pensamiento que no lo deja continuar con su vida normal porque solo puede enfocarse en él; Roy deberá afrontar esa situación, tiene 2 opciones o buscar el origen de lo que le pasa o sencillamente olvidarse de eso ¿podrá Roy pasar esa página en su vida y continuar con su vida normal? O ¿intentará encontrar una explicación a lo que vio y ahora siente?, ¿qué fue realmente lo que le pasó a Roy? ¿cuál será la decisión que tomará?
We have another story, the story of a single mother Jillian and her son Barry, they live alone, it is a story that does not have much development in the film, but it is the one that is most important to leave the main message; We only know that their little Barry, a boy who barely knows how to talk, in the middle of the morning leaves his house alone, on his way to the forest, while Jillian runs after him; Barry feels attracted to something, but he does not know how to express it, he is happy with that something, he just runs towards that thing that calls him as if he wanted to play with it, what is it that calls him? Will Jillian manage to catch up with Barry in the middle of the forest? What is the relationship between this story and Roy's?
Tenemos otra historia, la historia de una madre soltera Jillian y su hijo pequeño Barry, viven solos, es una historia que no tiene mucho desarrollo en el film, pero es la que es más importante para dejar el mensaje principal; solo sabemos que su pequeño Barry un niño que apenas sabe hablar, en medio de la madrugada sale de su casa solo camino al bosque, mientras Jillian corre tras de él; Barry se siente atraído hacía algo, pero él no sabe expresarlo, es feliz con ese algo, solo corre hacía eso que lo llama como si quisiera jugar con él ¿qué es lo que lo llama? ¿Logrará Jillian alcanzar a Barry en medio del bosque? ¿Cuál es la relación de esta historia con la de Roy?
And then we have a third story, an important scientist, a Frenchman named: Lacombe who is called to Mexico from the USA to study some events that occurred there, being there he discovers things that he seems to have seen in other places, he sees repetitive patterns of stigma in some people, he sees things that leave him impressed and from there he embarks on an investigation that he is passionate about and that it seems he has been doing for a while, what relationship does Lacombe have with Roy and the story of Jillian and Barry? I invite you to watch the film to answer all these questions about each story!
Y luego tenemos una tercera historia, un científico importante, un Francés llamado: Lacombe quien es llamado a México desde EEUU para estudiar unos eventos que ocurrieron en el lugar, estando ahí descubre cosas que parece ha visto en otros lugares, ve patrones repetitivos de estigma en algunas personas, ve cosas que lo dejan impresionado y a partir de ahí se embarca en una investigación que le apasiona y que parece ha estado haciendo desde hace un tiempo ¿qué relación tiene Lacombe con Roy y la historia de Jillian y Barry? ¡Te invito a ver la película para que respondas todas estas interrogantes de cada historia!
👽Soun Editing, without a doubt I can say that by the time I saw this movie, even though it had already been released for a long time and there were already major blockbusters for that time, the sound of this movie was engraved in my mind forever as one of the best I've ever heard in my life, probably because of what the movie meant to me, but I swear! it was.
It's a movie that you can easily play alone through the radio and you will feel chills with the way they handled the auditory atmosphere to generate emotions, the sound is immersive in its entirety, it is able to infuse absolute terror, suspense in almost the entire movie and finally calm you down in an impressive way, in fact, the sound is an important base of the film, not only for this I tell you, but because in the plot plays a fundamental role, you must see the film to understand what I mean if you have not seen it and if you have seen it I'm sure you must agree with me.
I feel that in the past soundtracks and all the sound effects were more artistic than today, probably because today we have many ways to create sounds digitized through synthesizers and sometimes we do not even notice the real musical instruments, but at that time the way to create sounds was completely rudimentary and were complemented with real symphonic bands, so I admire so much what they could create with this film is a complete musical beauty!
👽Edición de Sonido, sin lugar a dudas puedo decir que para el momento en que yo vi esta película, aun cuando ya tenía mucho tiempo de estrenada y ya había mayores superproducciones para esa época, el sonido de esta película quedó grabada en miente para siempre como una de las mejores que he escuchado en mi vida, probablemente es más por lo que significó la película para mí, pero ¡se los juro! que así fue.
Es una película que tú puedes fácilmente reproducir solo a través de la radio y vas a sentir hasta escalofríos con la forma como manejaron toda la atmósfera auditiva para generar emociones. El sonido es inmersivo en su totalidad, es capaz de infundir absoluto terror, suspenso en casi toda la película y finalmente calmarte de una forma impresionante, de hecho, el sonido es una base importante de la película, no solo por esto que les digo, sino porque en la trama juega un papel fundamental, debes ver la película para que entiendas a lo que me refiero sino la has visto y si la has visto estoy segura de que debes estar de acuerdo conmigo.
Siento que en el pasado las bandas sonoras y los efectos de sonido eran más artísticos que en la actualidad, probablemente porque hoy contamos con muchas formas de crear sonidos de forma digitalizada a través de sintetizadores y a veces no notamos ni siquiera los verdaderos instrumentos musicales, pero en ese tiempo la forma de crear sonidos era completamente rudimentaria y se complementaban con verdaderas bandas sinfónicas, por eso admiro tanto lo que pudieron crear con esta película ¡es una completa belleza musical!

We are talking about a movie where you have to create a whole science fiction atmosphere, it was a great superproduction, with shots even in deserts, reproducing aerospace control stations, having many aircraft, planes, helicopters, military vehicles, a large number of supporting actors, it was really a movie that you can tell that required too much skill in production, direction, artistic and monetary effort to create each scene, because each scene frame deserves to be captured in photographs and exhibit them in a museum forever and I'm not exaggerating! Even though we know that at that time there were not the facilities that cinema has today.
👽El trabajo de fotografía, no sé ustedes, pero yo soy amante de las películas de décadas pasadas, y esta ni siquiera es una reproducción de un pasado, sino que era la reproducción de la realidad para ese momento en que fue estrenada 1974, pero admirar esos detalles hoy en día me hacen admirarla mucho más, y es que no era una película cualquiera como las de ese tiempo.
Estamos hablando de una película donde debes crear todo un ambiente de ciencia ficción, fue una gran superproducción, con tomas hasta en desiertos, reproducir estaciones de control aeroespacial, contar con muchas aeronaves, aviones, helicópteros, vehículos militares, una gran gran cantidad de actores de reparto, de verdad fue una película que se nota a leguas que requirió demasiada destreza de la producción, dirección, esfuerzo artístico y monetario para crear cada escena, porque cada cuadro de escena merece ser captado en fotografías y exponerlas en un museo por siempre y ¡no exagero! Aun cuando sabemos que para esa época no se contaba con las facilidades que posee el cine en la actualidad.
👽Truthfulness of the facts, This movie I remember that at that time when I was reading so much, I knew that it really had a lot of reality, and is that it picked up patterns that were repeated at that time in people who claimed to have been abducted by aliens, so it was not only an invention of Spielberg's imagination, is that he gave free rein to everything he knew about ufology for that time and added it to his imaginative capacity.
We know that Spielberg likes to bring his passions to the big screen and one of them was extraterrestrials, so this film collects a lot of real information that was known at that time, such as the sightings in the desert of Mexico, the planes that had disappeared a few decades earlier and appeared intact but without pilots, the psychic alterations presented by the people who claimed to have been abducted and that ended in a kind of psychotic outbreak, the visual and auditory manifestations that they claimed to have witnessed and that were repeated in each of these people.
Spielberg reproduced the view that people had at the time about what UFO sightings were and, of course, this was what my Dalla from the past was most struck by, that it all made sense according to all my own research, so I assume that Spielberg did research and a lot of Ufology, in order to make this movie.
👽Veracidad de los hechos, esta película recuerdo que en ese tiempo en el que yo leía tanto, supe que realmente tuvo mucho de realidad, y es que recogió patrones que se repetían en esos momentos en las personas que alegaban que habían sido abducidos por extraterrestres, por lo que no solo fue una invención de la imaginación de Spielberg, es que él dio rienda suelta a todo lo que conocía de ufología para ese momento y lo sumó a su capacidad imaginativa.
Sabemos que a Spielberg le gusta llevar a la gran pantalla sus pasiones y una de ellas eran los extraterrestres, por lo que esta película recoge mucha información real que se conocía en ese tiempo, como los avistamientos en el desierto de México, los aviones que habían desaparecido unas décadas antes y que aparecieron intactos pero sin pilotos, las alteraciones psíquicas que presentaban las personas que alegaban haber sido abducidas y que terminaban en una especie de brote psicótico, las manifestaciones visuales y auditivas que referían haber presenciado y que se repetían en cada una de estas personas.
Spielberg reprodujo la visión que tenía la gente en ese momento sobre lo que eran los avistamientos de OVNIS y, por supuesto, esto era lo que a mi Dalla del pasado le llamaba más la atención, que todo tenía sentido de acuerdo a todas mis propias investigaciones, así que asumo que Spielberg investigó y mucho de Ufología, para poder llevar a cabo esta película.

👽Lo nuevo, esta película vino a revolucionar lo que se creía que podían querer esos seres de otro planeta, Spielberg incluso hizo una jugada peligrosa cuando planteó que, tal vez, los gobiernos estaban encubriendo todo usando estrategias de evasión como distraer el inconsciente colectivo con otros acontecimientos más peligrosos y más palpables, como intoxicaciones masivas o enfermedades mortales transmitidas por el aire, hay que felicitarlo por tomar ese riesgo, porque esto es libertad artística y más para ese tiempo.
Una idea que muchos ya manejaban, pero, por supuesto que les daba miedo dar a conocer para no meterse en problemas con los entes gubernamentales, después de todo no es como que había muchos Fox Mulder por ahí a los que no les importaba nada ganarse de enemigo al principal líder mundial: el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos y su Servicio de Inteligencia.
👽The performances, I loved them, you can really feel what Roy suffers, there is a scene where his oldest son, about 10 years old, cries when he realizes how bad his father is, that scene fascinated me! you can feel the pain of both, Roy recognizing that his psyche collapsed and his son's when he can no longer hide the reality "his father has gone mad".
The child who plays Barry is a beautiful thing that I don't even know how to explain, the look of innocence and the way he laughs makes you feel an incredible tenderness, there are 2 things that I have always said that can cause in a movie the presence of children and suspense: a lot of fear or reassure you, it caused me the second, and I feel that is what Spielberg was looking for with his final message, maybe he portrayed himself through that child with that look of innocence seeing those lights, who knows?
👽Las actuaciones, las amé, realmente tu puedes sentir lo que sufre Roy, hay una escena donde su hijo mayor, como de unos 10 años, llora al darse cuenta del estado tan mal en que está su padre, esa escena ¡me fascinó! puedes sentir el dolor de ambos, Roy reconociendo que su psique colapsó y la de su hijo al no poder ya ocultar la realidad "su padre se ha vuelto loco" y ya no lo puede ocultar.
El niño que hace de Barry es una cosa bellísima que no sé ni cómo explicar, la mirada de inocencia y la forma como ríe a ti te hace sentir una ternura increíble, hay 2 cosas que yo siempre he dicho que pueden causar en una película la presencia de niños y suspenso: mucho miedo o tranquilizarte, a mí me causó lo segundo, y siento que es lo que buscaba Spielberg con su mensaje final, tal vez se retrató a sí mismo a través de ese niño con esa mirada de inocencia viendo esas luces ¿quién sabe?
🛸The truth is out there yes I know it's a phrase from the X FILES, but it also applies to this movie, because it is a demonstration that the universe is very wide, go out and look up and look for the truth for yourself do you really think that all that infinity is only for us? Do you really think you are so special as to think that only human beings exist in the universe?

🛸The human need to get answers, is something innate with what some of us are born with, the need to know the why of things and until we do not get the answers we do not stay calm, not everyone is like that, some do not care whether they know or not, but others like Ray and I have always wanted to know, could it be because we are part of the rarity? Who knows, maybe! I still consider myself weird, not because I only think about extraterrestrial life as the teenage Dalla, right now I like to know the why of all the things that attract me about science, but I still have my innate need to find all the explanations.
🛸La necesidad del ser humano de obtener respuestas, es algo innato con lo que nacemos algunos, la necesidad del saber el por qué de las cosas y hasta que no obtenemos las respuestas no nos quedamos tranquilos; no todos son así, algunos les da igual saber o no, pero otros como Ray y yo, siempre hemos querido saber ¿será porque somos parte de la rareza? Quien sabe ¡puede ser! Yo aún me sigo considerando rara, ya no porque solo piense en vida extraterrestre como la Dalla adolescente, ahora mismo me gusta saber el por qué de todas las cosas que me atraen sobre ciencia, pero sigo con mi necesidad innata de querer encontrar todas las explicaciones.

🛸La necesidad de no juzgar, aun cuando otros piensen distinto a ti, esto lo digo porque muchas personas tienden a llamar "locos" a esas personas que tienen teorías específicas sobre una determinada cosa o situación que no comparte la mayoría, pero ellos tienen sus razones del por qué piensan así, es necesario entender que cada quien puede pensar lo que quiera sobre lo que quiera, debe tener sus razones y ante todo debe prevalecer el respeto por cualquier ser humano sin importar sus creencias, mientras no te afecte a ti ¡por supuesto!
🛸The union of very distant cultures for a common good, this film shows something we have seen and that is how the differences can disappear for a common goal for all as humanity; sadly it is not always so and in reality prevails selfishness in the governments of the world, but the presentation of this possibility in this film gave a little hope for the time that came out; history after that has shown us something else like the pandemic COVID-19 and how everyone fought for their own interests, but the Dalla of the youth liked to imagine that ideal world where everyone could help each other so it was encouraging.
🛸La unión de culturas muy distantes por un bien común, esta película demuestra algo que hemos visto y es como las diferencias pueden llegar a desaparecer por un fin común para todos como humanidad; tristemente no siempre es así y en la realidad prevalece el egoísmo en los gobiernos del mundo, pero el que presenten esta posibilidad en esta película brindó un poco de esperanza para el momento que salió; la historia después de eso nos ha demostrado otra cosa como lo que ocurrió en la pandemia COVID-19 y como cada quien luchaba por sus propios intereses, pero a la Dalla de la juventud le gustó imaginar ese mundo ideal donde todos podían ayudarse los unos a los otros, así que resultó esperanzador.
Did I like the movie? I loved it! That's why among many other UFO and alien movies I've seen, I chose it, maybe others will have better special effects, a better story, better production, but this movie means a lot to me because with her I felt understood in my adolescence.
Would I recommend it? Without a doubt! It's not the typical Halloween movie you expect to see about aliens ripping off human heads and so on, but it's a movie that will keep you in suspense until the end about what's really going to happen, if you're a true lover of the seventh art you have to like this movie even if you're not going to see all that blood!
Would I watch it again? I must have seen it about 500 times a long time ago, but now that I have seen it again, I feel I must watch it annually just to admire it more and more and to remember my innocent inner Dalla who believed in many of these things and that, in the end, they served her as company at a time when she felt very lonely and misunderstood and that they served as the basis for the emergence of the Dalla of today who analyzes so much everything that the world wants to make known, but who continues with her curiosity intact.
In the end that Dalla grew up, her thoughts matured, but, believe it or not, these types of productions helped me not to feel so alone in a world where everyone thought differently from me and at an age as psychologically complicated as adolescence.
Right now it is difficult for me to think about those UFOs, maybe not like the ones presented in this movie, neither do I believe in those gray beings with those heads and eyes, but I do believe in microscopic organisms that can populate those other planets, although we are still a tiny dot in the universe, who knows what is through those black holes? If you analyze it well, the thought is the same of my teenage Dalla, only with much more knowledge of science, experience and reality.
¿Me gustó la película? ¡Me encantó! por eso entre otras muchas de OVNIS y extraterrestres que he visto, la elegí a ella, tal vez otras tendrán mejores efectos especiales, una mejor historia, mejor producción, pero esta película significa mucho para mí porque con ella me sentí comprendida en mi adolescencia.
¿La recomendaría? ¡Sin lugar a dudas! No es la típica película de Halloween que esperas ver sobre extraterrestres arrancándoles cabezas a los humanos y cosas así, pero es una película que te va a mantener en suspenso hasta el final sobre qué es realmente lo que pasará, si eres un verdadero amante del séptimo arte ¡tiene que gustarte esta película! así no vayas a ver toda esa sangre.
¿La volvería a ver? Debo haberla visto unas 500 veces hace mucho tiempo, pero ahora que la volví a ver, siento que debo verla anualmente solo para admirarla cada vez más y recordar a mi Dalla interna inocente que creía en muchas de estas cosas y que, al final, le sirvieron de compañía en un momento donde se sentía muy sola e incomprendida y que sirvieron de base para surgir la Dalla de hoy en día que analiza tanto todo lo que el mundo quiere dar a conocer, pero que sigue con su curiosidad intacta.
Al final esa Dalla creció, sus pensamientos maduraron, pero, aunque no lo crean, este tipo de producciones ayudaron a no sentirme tan sola en un mundo donde todos pensaban distinto a mi y en una edad tan complicada psicológicamente como la adolescencia.
Ahora mismo me es difícil pensar en esos OVNIS, tal vez no como los que presentan en esta película, tampoco creo en esos seres grises con esas cabeza y esos ojos, pero sí en organismos microscópicos que puedan poblar esos otros planetas, aunque seguimos siendo un minusculo punto en el universo ¿quien sabe que hay a través de esos agujeros negros?. Si lo analizan bien, el pensamiento es el mismo de mi Dalla adolescente, solo que con muchos más conocimientos de ciencia, de experiencia y de realidad.
