Es que yo aún no me lo creo, no puede ser que la película de "Beautiful Disaster" haya salido en serio. Recuerdo cuando era 2012/2014 y este libro estaba en super tendencia, de verdad era lo más top del momento. Yo lo he leído ya dos veces, me declaro culpable, la primera vez en esa época y la segunda vez hace dos años, cuando estaba en búsqueda de una lectura bastante rápida y que me gustara. Si bien Beautiful Disastrer fue una historia demasiado criticada, a mí me encantó y no pienso decir nada más al respecto. Cuando dijeron que sería una película todo el mundo estaba en crisis, decían que podía ser peor que "A través de mi ventana" de Netflix, que si fue horrible. Pero la verdad es que, estoy sorprendida, así que los dejo con mi reseña.

I just still can't believe it myself, it can't be that the Beautiful Disaster movie seriously came out. I remember when it was 2012/2014 and this book was super trending, it really was the top thing at the time. I've read it twice now, I plead guilty, the first time back then and the second time two years ago when I was in search of a fairly quick read that I enjoyed. While Beautiful Disastrer was an overly criticized story, I loved it and I don't plan to say any more about it. When they said it would be a movie everyone was in meltdown, they said it could be worse than Netflix's Through My Window, which if it was awful. But the truth is, I'm surprised, so I'll leave you with my review.

En términos generales, esta historia narra la vida de Abby, una chica, digamos normal que se involucra en una relación amistosa con Travis, un rompecorazones que le encanta boxear, y después de tanto al final terminan juntos, ya que Travis tiene una personalidad única, entonces se hicieron amigos, pero en una apuesta Abby termina viviendo con Travis por un mes y ahí se enamoran. Es una historia que te enseña como las personas pueden cambiar, que no todo es malo porque Travis no era una mala persona, era muy claro con sus intenciones y todas las chicas interesadas en él lo sabían. Una historia que te enseña que todos tenemos un pasado, que aunque tú "no quieras" te puedes enamorar de quien menos piensas, de las lecciones de la vida y de los romances adolescentes.

In general terms, this story tells the life of Abby, a girl, let's say normal who gets involved in a friendly relationship with Travis, a heartthrob who loves boxing, and after so much at the end they end up together, since Travis has a unique personality, then they became friends, but on a bet Abby ends up living with Travis for a month and there they fall in love. It is a story that teaches you how people can change, that not everything is bad because Travis was not a bad person, he was very clear with his intentions and all the girls interested in him knew it. A story that teaches you that we all have a past, that even if you "don't want to" you can fall in love with who you least think, the lessons of life and teenage romances.

Hay un dicho que dice, comencemos por el principio, y si no es así pido perdón jaja. Hablemos de cosas que no son iguales que en el libro peor no molestan, ayudan a mejorar la trama. Por ejemplo, en el inicio nos presentan que Abby escapa de su casa, nos dicen de su pasado inmediatamente (Era una niña con mucha suerte en le póker y le robo la suerte a su papá, la llamaban Lucky 13). Entonces, ella llega con su mejor amiga America, o Mare, quien vive en el campus de la universidad y tiene un novio llamado Shepley, quien es primo de Travis. Después de conocer a Travis y de la apuesta, que fue una de mis escenas favoritas, Abby conoce a la familia Maddox, algo que sentí muy rápido, pero no me molestó.

There is a saying that goes, let's start at the beginning, and if not I apologize haha. Let's talk about things that are not the same as in the book but they don't bother, they help to improve the plot. For example, in the beginning we are introduced that Abby runs away from home, we are told about her past immediately (She was a girl with a lot of luck in poker and stole her dad's luck, she was called Lucky 13). Then, she arrives with her best friend America, or Mare, who lives on the college campus and has a boyfriend named Shepley, who is Travis' cousin. After meeting Travis and the bet, which was one of my favorite scenes, Abby meets the Maddox family, something that felt very fast, but didn't bother me.

Esta es una de mis historias favoritas y AME que no la hicieran exactamente igual que en el libro, porque a día de hoy sería muy cancelarle, la gente es muy sensible. Es por ello que felicito a los productores, convirtieron la historia en algo un poco más maduro, pero con ese toque adolescente que la verdad no está nada mal. La química entre los actores me encantó, respetaron las frases más icónicas, pero falto la de "Tú eres mi hogar" de verdad. Virginia Gardner Como Abby Abernathy fue un acierto total y aunque mucho se dice que Dylan Sprouse fuera Travis Mad Dog Maddox, la verdad a mi me gustó demasiado, me volví a enamorar otra vez de Travis, no me culpen.

This is one of my favorite stories and I LOVED that they didn't make it exactly the same as in the book, because in this day and age it would be very canceling, people are very sensitive. That's why I congratulate the producers, they turned the story into something a little more mature, but with that teenage touch that really isn't bad at all. I loved the chemistry between the actors, they respected the most iconic lines, but the "You are my home" line was really missing. Virginia Gardner as Abby Abernathy was a total hit and although a lot is said about Dylan Sprouse as Travis Mad Dog Maddox, I really liked him too much, I fell in love again with Travis, don't blame me.
