2025 - The World enslaved by a Virus

What do you call a fish with no eye?- The joke from 2025 - The World enslaved by a Virus
The World Enslaved By Virus 2025 is a 2021 movie directed by Joshua Wesley. Not only directing the movie, Wesley is also playing the protagonist in this dystopian Christian movie. Though it is listed as science fiction and action on Amazon, please don’t get your expectations too high with a movie that has estimated production cost about 10.000$.
The story takes place in suburban Germany in 2025. It narrates the story about a brother and sister in hiding from the government oppression who are not allowing its citizens to travel and to be Christian. In the story, the world after 2020 is not the world that these siblings want to live in. The constitution of Germany has changed and so have many aspects of their life. It said that communism was taking over society. However, I failed to see communism in the movie. Is it just because people aren’t allowed to be Christian then it makes the state become communist? Is it just because they only allow one language to be spoken then it instantly becomes a communist?. The movie seems to bring the popular western idea of communism and fails to actually portray the existence of communism within its government and the society.
The actors and actresses in the film were lousy. Their acting skills were similar to freshman theatre majors, perhaps even these freshmen are better. The reaction, the expression, and the tone was so awful that they should have practiced more. Even the characters in the movie could have had a better chance if it was reversed. So the protagonist should be played by an Ex-marine in the movie who has more charisma than Wesley, the protagonist who attempts to start the revolution.
Though listed as science fiction, the hacking scene in the movie was extremely ridiculous. And I fail to see the science fiction or the use of cool technology in the movie especially since the setting is 2025. But I can understand that due to their low budget, it makes sense that there was no advanced technology involved.
The audio was so awful that it feels like an ear rape. Sometimes, they only play 10 secs of the soundtrack or some music then switch it to another. I watched this whole movie for about 90 minutes and I would rather get stabbed than having to watch this movie ever again. It was painful and torturing having to watch the movie.
Though the script is something that can be praised, the execution was too poor. I get the message that they want to convey but without a good execution, it should have stayed as a script, perhaps turning the script into a book first before making it into the screen.
If you have come across this movie, I advise you to not watch it. You are probably better off watching some cheap horror movies than this poorly made film. But if you are that curious, go ahead.
It’s all shits and giggles.
There’s one joke I learned from the movie that I wrote in the beginning of this review. The answer to that is FSH. When I watched that I was like, “ WTF??”. The humor was so dry and just left you with a lot of WTF moments.
Finally, I have warned you, so if you still want to watch it, that’s on you!
