The tree of life, a complex film that some will love and others not so much. Graphically it is impeccable, showing constant images of evolution, creation and existence.
The director tells us that there are 2 essential forces in the universe: Nature (hard, aggressive, competitive) and grace (kind, beautiful and compassionate) and that they play an important role in the balance of the world.
He tells us on the other hand, the story of a couple from Texas in 1956 a little dysfunctional and their 3 children (focusing especially on the older). It is necessary to put detail in this story to the upbringing of these children: They are influenced by two opposing forces (personified by his father who represents in this case nature and his mother who represents grace, always prevailing the hard and coarse character of the father).
The eldest son appears in several scenes as an adult, being a recognized architect and walking through the same buildings that he built, depressed and remembering his past.
Analyzing a bit the images that are presented (the film is very graphic), one of the most impressive is that of a volcano being turned off by the waves of the sea. What is the purpose of this scene? : To explain that these two central elements on which the film is based do not represent "the good" and "the bad" as such, but rather that both are essential to maintain the order of God's creation.

In conclusion, the negative things that happen always look for a greater good of background, and that could be considered the "plan of God".
In general, this film evaluates the power of existence and the evolution of the world through time, and how the different pillars of the universe are indispensable for life to be possible. Recommended for those who search for graphic and that allow the public to take their own criteria of the different topics that are explored.
I give it a 7,2 out of 10
