I would like to tell you about my memorable and pleasant day with my classmates. I had done a project with her on a film and by what a risky yet an exhilarating day it was! It occurred immediately after the post-traumatic shaking following the earthquake on the 30 th of September 2025. Although we were still frightened to some extent due to the linog, we made a decision to proceed with our project. Laban pa rin!
Our team chose to produce a movie under the name of the Barangay Colors. Each of us had our own roles. I was the chismosa (the gossip girl) hehehehe, such a silly fellow! My groupmate Ayle acted the role of nanay and she was so adorable in her play. We used to take selfies prior to commencing filming. Naturally, I also grabbed one by myself - and I was really pleased with the result of my selfie! There I appeared so skinny (not in real life, haha). Still, I’m grateful for my face. Other times, I take a good selfie and it makes me feel so confident.
I had my make-up assisted by my classmates Danica and Julie. As I was playing the chismosa they brought me mataas na kilay and extra blush, very “marites” style! They were doing my makeup as we both laughed. It was all too pleasant to be pretending to be this garrulous and theatrical personage.
We also provided group photos after watching the movie. I really liked them photos- they depicted our collaboration, jokes and friendship. Although we were experiencing disasters in all the surrounding, we remained strong and continued moving in the interest of our project and grades. Laban lang, students of psychology!
And finally… Charannnn! Our movie was presented with the final poster! And watching it, it was all worth it. The makeup paid off, the acting, all the laughing paid off. This project was one of my favorite projects in life due to the number of core memories and pleasant moments we would share with our friends and classmates that we got throughout the project (The Barangay Colors).
This day helped me realize that whatever the problem, teamwork and positivity can help to make things possible. We did not simply film a movie but we created memories that I shall live my entire life. Too much cute-a-minute, laughs, and affection in a single memorable project!
