Human beings, even if we deny it or do not manifest it, always have some kind of fear or expectations for what may happen to us beyond the moment we leave the physical plane, that is, the arrival of death. I confess to being one of these types of people.

Can a noble and generous human soul, with the most beautiful feelings, despite an unfortunate situation at the beginning of its life, change course and make the rancor of a spirit punished for a thousand years disappear, and that has survived so long? only through his desire for revenge?

Love and fantasy stories are one of my favorites. Doramas and K-dramas meet these conditions perfectly and therefore continue to be my favorite genre when choosing to watch a series to relax and have fun for a while, isolating myself from everyday stress.

In my continuous search for a series to watch, I came across a suggestion from Netflix called Hotel Del Luna. I must confess that, at first, I was not very excited when I saw the first chapters. However, I decided to give it a try and my perception changed drastically, as the plot progressed and I became more immersed in it.

Can you imagine a hotel or inn that has existed throughout the centuries and life, to give comfort to the souls of the spirits before making their way to the afterlife? That's the Hotel Del Luna. A fun and emotional story, which in addition to its moments of laughter, also has beautiful reflections and learning situations about human emotions and the spiritual world.

Los seres humanos, aunque lo neguemos o no lo manifestamos, siempre tenemos alguna clase de temor o expectativas por lo que pueda sucedernos más allá del momento en que partamos del plano físico, o sea, la llegada de la muerte. Me confieso una de este tipo de personas.

¿Puede un alma humana, noble y generosa, con los más bonitos sentimientos, a pesar de una situación infortunada en el inicio de su vida, cambiar el rumbo y hacer desaparecer el rencor de un espíritu castigado durante mil años, y que ha sobrevivido tan solo a través de su deseo de venganza?

Las historias de amor y fantasía, son definitivamente de mis favoritas. Los doramas y K-dramas, reúnen estas condiciones a perfección y por ello, siguen siendo mi género favorito a la hora de escogencia para ver una serie con la finalidad de relajarme y divertirme un rato, aislándome del estrés cotidiano.

En mi continua búsqueda de series para mirar, me encontré una sugerencia de Netflix llamada Hotel Del Luna. Debo confesar que, al principio, no me emocionó mucho al ver los primeros capítulos. Sin embargo, decidí darle una oportunidad y mi percepción cambió drásticamente, a medida que avanzaba la trama y me compenetraba con ella.

Se imaginan un hotel u hostería que ha existido a lo largo de los siglos y la vida, para darle consuelo a las almas de los espíritus antes de tomar su camino al más allá? Ese es el Hotel Del Luna. Una divertida y emotiva historia, que además de sus momentos de risa, también tiene bonitas reflexiones y situaciones de aprendizaje, acerca de las emociones humanas y el mundo espiritual.

It is a series of the year 2019, of 16 chapters and that was produced and broadcast by the television network TVN, in South Korea, being transmitted to the rest of the world, through Netflix.

A series of scenes and characters, both human and from the spiritual world, that make you enjoy the drama and smile as well as be moved by many moving situations that strengthen and shape the soul of many of the characters, both main and secondary.

I liked many aspects of this series. Mainly that of managing emotions. How much damage did negative emotions such as grudges, anger, and resentment produce in your previous step to another spiritual plane. Characters that evolve positively and others negatively in this aspect impacted me and pleased me as well as gave me reflective teaching, regarding this point of life.

The leading couple was to my great liking. She, K-pop idol singer and actress IU (Lee Ji-eun), was sensational in her role as Jang Man-wol. A millennial spirit who receives as punishment for her innumerable past crimes (all within a very strong emotional plot), being the owner of the Hotel Del Luna.

A time when he will handle his grudge against people from the past, as well as his fears for the present and the future, when he meets Goo Chan-sung, the male protagonist of this beautiful story.

Es una serie del año 2019, de 16 capítulos y que fue producida y emitida por la cadena televisiva TVN, en Corea del Sur, siendo transmitida al resto del mundo, a través de Netflix.

Una serie de escenas y personajes tanto humanos como del mundo espiritual, que te hacen disfrutar el drama y sonreír además de enternecerte con muchas situaciones conmovedoras que van fortaleciendo y moldeando el alma de muchos de los personajes, tanto principales como secundarios.

De esta serie me gustaron muchos aspectos. Principalmente ese del manejo de las emociones. Cuánto daño producen las emociones negativas como el rencor, la ira, el resentimiento en tu paso previo a otro plano espiritual. Personajes que evolucionan en positivo y otros en negativo en este aspecto, me impactaron y me agradó así como también me dio enseñanza reflexiva, respecto a este punto de la vida.

La pareja protagónica fue de mi gran agrado. Ella, la actriz y cantante ídolo del K-pop, IU (Lee Ji-eun), estuvo sensacional en su papel de Jang Man-wol. Un espíritu milenario que recibe como castigo por sus innumerables crímenes del pasado (todos dentro de una trama emocional muy fuerte), ser la propietaria del Hotel Del Luna.

Tiempo donde manejará su rencor por personas del pasado, así como sus temores por el presente y el futuro, cuando conoce a Goo Chan-sung , protagonista masculino de esta bonita historia.

I love IU in her role because it gives her the precise character to see the transformation and overturning of a hard and cold soul, to another warm and closer human, when she is touched by love again. In addition, the presentation of this character throughout the plot is quite colorful and very beautiful in its different outfits and costumes.

The chemistry and empathy of these characters throughout the series were very beautiful and it is a part of the plot that I loved because (and without spoilers, you will never see it from me), since it showed that the power of love is infinite and capable of breaking any barrier or negative emotion that prevents progress in every way.

Of the secondary characters, my favorites were the three main hotel employees (Choe Seo-hui, Kim Seon-bi, and the young Ji Hyeon-jung), all spirits, each with a beautiful and intertwined personal and emotional story with that of the main protagonist. A show of love, gratitude, and loyalty was the presence of these characters.

The presentation of spirits with incredibly beautiful positive energy, who gave teaching, as well as some dark ones, who show us that negative feelings, left me with the teaching that these feelings will never be useful, neither in this life nor in the time of the greatest there. The transformation that is achieved through the feeling of love was a very beautiful metaphor in the series.

The settings as always in this type of series, are very well carried out and achieved. I liked the atmosphere of the hotel, quite real and visually impressive. Just like a luxurious hotel, but in this case, for souls or spirits seeking comfort before going to the afterlife.

Me encanta IU en su papel pues le da el carácter preciso para ver la transformación y el vuelco de un alma dura y fría, a otra cálida y más cercana a lo humano, cuando es tocada nuevamente por el amor. Además, la presentación de este personaje a lo largo de la trama, es bastante vistoso y muy bella en sus diferentes atuendos y vestuario.

La química y empatía de estos personajes a lo largo de la serie, fue muy bonito y es una parte de la trama que me encantó pues (y sin hacer spoilers, jamás lo verán de mi), ya que mostró que el poder del amor es infinito y capaz de romper cualquier barrera o emoción negativa que impida el avance en todo sentido.

De los personajes secundarios, mis favoritos fueron los tres empleados principales del hotel (Choe Seo-hui, Kim Seon-bi y el joven Ji Hyeon-jung), espíritus todos, cada uno con una historia personal y emocional bonita, y a la vez entrelazada con la de la protagonista principal. Una muestra de amor, agradecimiento y lealtad, fue la presencia de estos personajes.

La presentación de espíritus con energía positiva increíblemente bella, que dieron enseñanza, así como también algunos oscuros, que nos muestran sentimientos negativos, me dejaron la enseñanza de que jamás serán útiles dichos sentimientos, ni en esta vida, ni en el tiempo del más allá. La transformación que se logra, a través del sentimiento del amor, fue una metáfora muy bonita en la serie.

Las ambientaciones como siempre en este tipo de series, muy bien llevadas y logradas. Me gustó mucho el ambiente del hotel, bastante real e impactante a la visual. Tal cual un hotel lujoso, pero en este caso, para almas o espíritus que buscan consuelo antes de ir al más allá.

The embodiment of the mystical atmosphere is also quite nice and well-presented. The Del Luna tree, inherent to the protagonist, had a beautiful setting. I thought it was one of the most beautiful settings in the series.

The Original Soundtrack (OST) of the series, like that of almost all K-dramas, is also sweet, romantic, and perfectly adapted to the situations. The music is something that I always praise in this type of production.

A story of resilience, emotion, reflection on emotions, and what we must leave behind on the road, after leaving the physical plane, well, if it has a lot of fantasy, it also has a reflection on a world that we say no to interests us and about which, in the end, we are always curious. A story of love and friendship, beyond the spiritual barrier that is death.

If you like series, in addition to being romantic, with a touch of fantasy, a mystical part, and also fun, that leaves you with thoughtful and beautiful messages of emotions and life, I recommend you watch it. I particularly loved it from many points of view that I already listed above.

La encarnación del ambiente místico también bastante agradable y bien presentado. El árbol Del Luna, inherente a la protagonista, tuvo una belleza de ambientación. Me pareció de lo más bonito de los escenarios en la serie.

El Original Soundtrack (OST) de la serie, como el de casi todos los K-dramas, también es dulce, romántico, adaptado de forma perfecta a las situaciones. La música es algo que elogio siempre en este tipo de producciones.

Una historia de resiliencia, emotividad, reflexión acerca de las emociones y lo que debemos dejar en el camino atrás, luego de haber partido del plano físico pues bien, si tiene mucho de fantasía, también lo tiene de reflexión acerca de un mundo que decimos no nos interesa y del que al final, siempre tenemos curiosidad. Una historia de amor y amistad, más allá de la barrera espiritual que es la muerte.

Si te gustan las series además de románticas, con un toque de fantasía, parte mística y también de diversión, que te dejen mensajes reflexivos y bonitos de las emociones y de la vida, te recomiendo verla. A mí, particularmente, me encantó desde muchos puntos de vista que ya les enumeré anteriormente.

Vivamos y apreciemos la vida con agradecimiento, equilibrio y alegría, ya que es solo una. Cada segundo de la vida es valioso y debemos aprovecharlos siendo felices. Gracias por acompañarme en este rato de compartir mi opinión en este fabuloso mundo del cine y la televisión.
