One thing I love most about Korean dramas is how beautiful they fall in love and give me the butterfly feelings even though it's all an act. But for the first time in a long while, I couldn't focus on that aspect in this Korean series I recently finished seeing.
I've been forgetting to have it downloaded until last week, now I wish I had seen it much earlier but it doesn't take away the fact that I enjoyed it so much when I decided to see it.
The storyline, the characters and most especially the comedy aspect were all I wanted to see, on point!

From the title "Hometown Cha Cha Cha", I had pictured a small town but didn't think it would be a town filled with people who try to live in peace, struggle to make ends meet and make jokes at every chance they get. This series gave off an unusual vibe that I can't explain but love so much, it is definitely different from all the Korean series I've seen especially with it's storyline.
What prompt me to see the series was mainly because of Shin Min-a who is the lead female character in the drama. I have been a fan of her series since I saw her in the series "My Girlfriend is a nine tailed Fox" and I love how beautiful her smile is just as I do with Im Yoon-ah in Kind The Land
Downloading a whole series because of one character isn't so out of place especially when you realize you made the right choice. This series wasn't a disappointment in any way but I won't lie that there aren't better dramas now if I were to compare.
I could use a whole post to explain how these two made me love this series but I'll just make it short so you don't get bored from my fangirling write up lol. Kim Seon-ho (male lead) and Shin Min-a (female lead) were so adorable in this series. The guy is a jack of all trades, good at everything and being of great help to his hometown.
The lady is a professional dentist who isn't appreciated in her place of work, had to make a quick decision to open her own hospital and live in a hometown that is so unlike where she had been living.
How the two met and couldn't stop crossing each others' path was not just romantic, they were all scenes of comedy packed.
I could see this scene over and over if I have the chance, they surprised me totally with this scene. Oldies singing, a little girl wowed the crowd with her voice, our lead characters tried to dance in sync with a song but turned out to be too much comedy for the viewers. It is a scene I'd say was a highlight for me and the selling point because of how simple and very entertaining it was.
Special mentions to all the supporting characters who made this scene so memorable, I wish I could find a short video of just this scene so I could share it here for your view but I'll let you decide to go see it yourself.
Not many Korean dramas I've seen where it ends in a very simple wedding, not many I've seen where the lady is richer than the guy and not many I've seen where a love triangle has a happy ending for the guy who couldn't get the female lead. This drama gave me all that and I love how refreshingly interesting they made it.
There were a lot of pairings in this drama providing a lot of scenes that only ends up cracking me up with jokes. The only part I didn't like about this drama was that the supposed oldest lady among them died in the last episode. It's understandable that she's old and died happy but I didn't think it was necessary to add that at all.
I enjoyed the series, I love the lead characters, the supporting characters were amazing too, I like the OSTs, the comedy and drama was on point and so I'll rate the series 9/10.
