Knives Out | Entre Navajas y Secretos | Review

Como sacada de un juego o una serie de misterios y detectives, encontré esta película que me llamó la atención. Bueno, tengo que ser honesta, me decidí a ver esta película cuando vi en la portada al actor Chris Evans (nuestro querido capitán América), el resto de los actores no lo conocí a primera vista hasta que comencé a ver la película y noté la participación de Jamie Lee Curtis, a quien ya había visto en otras películas. Qué bueno que al verla no me decepcionó.

Desde hace un tiempo comenzaron a llamarme la atención las películas de detectives y misterios, en realidad creo que fue después de ver la película "Contratiempo" que me pareció muy buena. Algunas películas de misterios pueden ser muy predecibles si no se logran bien y pueden terminar siendo aburridas o una locura, pero esta película "Entre Navajas y Secretos" jugó un poco con mi mente. Aquí les estaré contando sobre ella.

Varias fueron las cosas que me gustaron en la película. Por lo general, en mis reseñas destacó más las temáticas, pero en este punto quisiera resaltar el aspecto visual o el escenario donde transcurrió la mayor parte de los hechos.

Me encantó el aspecto que le dieron a la casa. Una mansión grande y espaciosa, tapetes, colores neutros, objetos antiguos y muchos elementos que dan la impresión de ser la casa de un coleccionista de reliquias. Por un momento se me pareció a esos juegos de misterio donde debemos encontrar objetos ocultos tras muchos objetos antiguos y sombríos. Ese ambiente me pareció ideal para agregar suspenso a la película. Uno pudiera pensar "cualquier objeto pudo ser el arma asesina".

La cantidad de personajes me pareció apropiada, aunque he visto películas con menos personajes me pareció genial que no haya personajes extras porque sí, sino que más bien permitan mantener el suspenso entre los implicados o sospechosos.

Las entrevistas son geniales, me gusta cuando un detective hace preguntas bien pensadas que hacen sentir que todos son culpables, jeje ¡para mí todos eran culpables! Dudé de todos, y eso hace que la película sea bastante interesante.

Eso me hizo recordar a un juego que me enseñaron unos amigos, llamado "Lobos vs. Aldeanos", es muy divertido, pero todos dudamos de todos. A veces estamos seguros de que alguien es el culpable, pero terminamos dando un veredicto incorrecto e inculpando a alguien inocente solo porque nos parece.

Y ahí extraigo una valiosa lección de la película. Como espectadores, muchas veces culpamos según nuestro juicio personal sin conocer todos los detalles del asunto, tan solo porque la situación parezca obvia. Y esto pudiera pasarnos en todos los aspectos de nuestra vida, no debemos hacernos jueces a nuestros ojos e ir juzgando a los demás sin estar completamente seguros que conocemos todos los detalles. Este tipo de películas me hacen reflexionar mucho en esto, sobre todo porque siempre termino pensando que el inocente de la película era el culpable jeje.

Y hablando de las lecciones que extraje de la película, también me llamo la atención el tema de las herencias y las peleas familiares, porque esta es una triste realidad en muchas familias que aparentan ser unidas. Recuerdo que después de la muerte de mi abuelo paterno, sus 9 hijos que estaban con vida se cortaron el habla por un desacuerdo en la repartición de los terrenos de herencia, fue una situación muy triste. Muchas veces otras personas merecen más recibir la herencia que la propia familia que espera la muerte de su familiar para recibir su parte. Así que esta película refleja una gran realidad al mostrar el egoísmo y la avaricia de algunos familiares.

Por otro lado, aprendo que al que obra bien le va bien. Un corazón honesto y sincero es recompensado en algún momento. Siempre debemos esforzarnos por hacer las cosas lo mejor que podamos, así no sea reconocido por el momento. Una conciencia tranquila es de mucho más valor. Y con relación a esto tengo una experiencia bastante interesante que compartirles, pero se las estaré comentando en una próxima publicación.

No me arrepiento de haber escogido esta película, aunque al principio haya sido por el actor Chris Evans jeje. Me pareció muy buena. Sus giros inesperados en la trama me hicieron dudar varias veces de mis decisiones y eso me gustó.

Por mi parte, recomiendo esta película si te llaman la atención este tipo de temáticas y si no quizás esta te guste. Sería genial que te animes a verla, y si ya la viste que me comentes que te pareció. Estaré atenta a los comentarios.

Like something out of a game or a series of mysteries and detectives, I found this movie that caught my attention. Well, I have to be honest, I decided to see this movie when I saw on the cover the actor Chris Evans (our beloved Captain America), the rest of the actors I didn't know at first sight until I started watching the movie and noticed the participation of Jamie Lee Curtis, who I had already seen in other movies. Good thing when I saw it I was not disappointed.

For a while now I started to be attracted to detective and mystery movies, actually I think it was after I saw the movie "Contratiempo" which I thought was very good. Some mystery movies can be very predictable if not achieved well and can end up being boring or crazy, but this movie "Entre Navajas y Secretos" played with my mind a little bit. Here I will be telling you about it.

There were several things I liked in the film. Usually, in my reviews I highlight more the thematic ones, but at this point I would like to highlight the visual aspect or the scenery where most of the events took place.

I loved the look they gave the house. A large and spacious mansion, rugs, neutral colors, antique objects and many elements that give the impression of being the home of a relic collector. For a moment it seemed to me like those mystery games where we must find hidden objects behind many old and shady objects. That atmosphere seemed to me ideal to add suspense to the film. One could think "any object could be the murder weapon".

The number of characters seemed appropriate, although I have seen movies with fewer characters I thought it was great that there are no extra characters just for the sake of it, but rather to keep the suspense between those involved or suspects.

The interviews are great, I like it when a detective asks thoughtful questions that make you feel like everyone is guilty, hehe for me everyone was guilty! I doubted everyone, and that makes the movie quite interesting.

That reminded me of a game some friends taught me, called "Wolves vs. Villagers", it's a lot of fun, but we all doubt everyone. Sometimes we are sure that someone is the guilty one, but we end up giving an incorrect verdict and framing someone innocent just because we think so.

And there I draw a valuable lesson from the film. As spectators, many times we blame according to our personal judgment without knowing all the details of the matter, just because the situation seems obvious. And this could happen to us in all aspects of our lives, we should not become judges in our own eyes and judge others without being completely sure that we know all the details. This kind of movies make me reflect a lot on this, especially because I always end up thinking that the innocent person in the movie was the guilty one hehe.

And speaking of the lessons I learned from the film, I was also struck by the theme of inheritance and family fights, because this is a sad reality in many families that appear to be united. I remember that after the death of my paternal grandfather, his 9 children who were alive cut off each other's speech because of a disagreement in the distribution of the inheritance land, it was a very sad situation. Many times other people are more deserving to receive the inheritance than the family themselves who wait for the death of their relative to receive their share. So this film reflects a great reality by showing the selfishness and greed of some family members.

On the other hand, I learn that he who does well does well. An honest and sincere heart is rewarded at some point. We should always strive to do the best we can, even if it is not recognized at the moment. A clear conscience is of much more value. And in relation to this I have a very interesting experience to share with you, but I will be telling you about it in a future post.

I don't regret choosing this movie, even if at first it was because of the actor Chris Evans hehe. I thought it was very good. Its unexpected plot twists made me doubt my decisions several times and I liked that.
