The next step for these two crazy kids is guessing - as far as we know, Sylvie is currently still in the castle at the end of time, and Loki is in ... well, Loki is in a timeline that we don't have. not yet fully identified. How they will end up in season 2 (because of course, they will end up in season 2) is up to you to guess.
Will Sylvie realize that her decision to kill The One Who Remains was a mistake? Will she regret that she started what could well be another multiversal war and seek out Loki to try and fix what she broke? Will Loki try to find her, after all that has happened?
What about all those other versions of Kang?
According to He Who Remains, Sylvie's choice to kill him would essentially unleash a veritable army of Kang variants across the multiverse, which would cause untold havoc and destruction until one of them took over. And that seems to be exactly what happened, to some extent, given that the statues of the Keepers of Time at TVA headquarters have been replaced with a giant figure of Kang. But which version of the character that is - or what the other less benevolent version did on his behalf - is pending.
We know Jonathan Majors will be playing Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania but this movie isn't set to hit theaters until 2023 and it's extremely long to leave the MCU's new Big Bad idle. So it seems safe to assume that we'll see a version of him appear in at least one MCU property before that, if not more.
Where did Judge Renslayer go?
The last time we saw Judge Renslayer, she seemed determined to prove that her life as a VAT chief - and the many morally questionable decisions she made as such - made sense, despite the fact that his actions were essentially all accomplished in service to a group of leaders who did not really exist.
After an emotional confrontation with
Mobius, Renslayer escapes in search of "free will," which as we know in this universe usually means Kang. It is not known if she finds him or what happens during her confrontation with the version of Kang she meets, but since Renslayer is Kang's girlfriend in the comics, it seems reasonable to assume that she has. a part in the creation of any version of VAT. Loki stumbles at the end of the final.
