Aside from having a gut wrenching ending the thrill and excitement while watching it is really something else! Kudos to the director (Erik Matti) and scriptwriters (Matti & Michiko Yamamoto). They really did a good job with this film. It was a sleeper hit though but hey it's already one of the top quality Pinoy movies known internationally. Haha.
Vin Diesel in all his glory as a witch hunter / The Last Witch Hunter / Review
In today's world normal people do not know of the existence of these two factions that exist between them, this being a unique contrast, as there are witches and wizards who have set up their own businesses and with some help from magic "good or bad", they are doing well and do not want to return to the time of the queen witch, as there is a certain group of them who want to return to see the world as it was in the time of the queen.
When investigating its realization, I found that this action film has been the most profitable in the history of cinema, with 350 thousand dollars it produced more than 100 million in its time and, likewise, it earned a place in posterity due to its esthetic. Although, in theory, the film is set in a dystopian future, it is clear that the aspects addressed here point to what happened in the world in the sixties, these elements seek to establish a communicative link with those viewers related to the proposed ideology. At this point, it would not be daring to indicate that the same audience that was enchanted by this film had already seen Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange and came for another dose of visual anarchy because here, similarly, vandalism is flaunted as a reason to justify violence, crime and illegality. Undoubtedly, this feature film presents a terrifying vision of civilization without taboos, not only because values fade as the film progresses, but also all hints of optimism disappear. Human nature is disintegrating in each section of the road until it is without spiritual attraction. Reality, even, that seems to shake our current days, for this reason this film has not lost its validity.
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
