Hello, fellow Hivers! What's up, everyone? My semester final exams are just around the corner, and I'm staying up late at night watching a crime-based web series. The web series I'm currently watching is titled "Delhi Crime Season 2," and it was released on August 26, 2022, on Netflix. It is a crime based web series based on a true story. This series consists of two parts, both based on true stories. Now it's IMDb rating of 8.5/10 and comprises a total of 5 episodes, each ranging from 38 to 45 minutes in length.
Here I will give some spoilers about the web series. So this web series which is based on real-life cases conducted by the Delhi Police, follows the investigation of a series of brutal murders of senior citizens by the Kachcha Banyan gang, who were last active in the 90s. Suddenly they start killing again but this time different people are doing the killings. The show is a gritty and immersive police procedural that looks at crime from a broad lens, exploring the social, political and personal aspects of the cases. This is a gang that smears a lot of oil on their bodies before committing a robbery.
After committing the murders, they consume food in front of the dead bodies and defecate at the crime scenes. Their gang is skilled at conducting robberies without leaving any evidence behind. If you want to know more, you can find detailed information on YouTube. The show is directed by Tanuj Chopra and is well-written, well-acted, and well-shot. It's capture a realistic and authentic portrayal of Delhi and its people. The show does not shy away from depicting the dark and grim reality of the city, including the corruption and inefficiency of the system, as well as the discrimination and violence faced by marginalized sections of society.
The show is helmed by Ujjal Shefali Shah, who reprises her role as crime branch head DCP Varthika Chaturvedi. He is supported by a stellar cast of actors, including Rajesh Tailang, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Yasswini Dayama, who play his loyal and competent team members. They acted part 1 of this season.
Here all the characters work to balance their professional and personal lives, giving them depth and complexity. How Vartika struggles to balance her responsibilities and her family, how Neeti deals with her marital problems, how Bhupinder tries to find a suitable match for his daughter and how Jayaraj deals with his trauma and guilt. The series also depicts the bonds and friendships between team members, who support and challenge each other.

This series is a realistic depiction of police work in India. The series shows that cops don't shy away from the challenges they face, but also shows their dedication and commitment to their job.
In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed this web series, and I recommend it to everyone who enjoys crime-based shows. However, it's advisable not to show it to young children due to some disturbing scenes, graphic content, and strong language. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
