Saludos amigos de Hive, espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy les vengo a compartir la experiencia de la clase de Guion, en la universidad de las Artes. La clase de hoy se trató sobre la creación de un personaje.
In order to develop a good story, which leads to a credible story, you must first develop a good profile of the character, or characters, for this you must write some characteristics of this, to the point that you have all the details of this character so that it can come to life.
Para poder desarrollar una buena historia, lo cual conlleva a que esta historia sea creíble, primero debe desarrollarse un buen perfil del personaje, o de los personajes, para esto se debe escribir algunas características de este, hasta el punto que tengas todos los detalles de este personaje para que pueda agarrar vida.
Character types according to their evolution
/Tipos de personaje según su evolución
Static: They are characters that do not evolve in the film, usually neither physically nor psychologically, their environment may change but they do not.
Estático: Son personajes que no tienen evolución en la película, normalmente, ni física ni psicológica, posiblemente su entorno cambie pero ellos no.
Dynamic: These are characters that change through the processes or circumstances that happen to them in the film, their change is physical and psychological.
Dinámicos: Son eso personajes que cambian a través de los procesos o circunstancias que les sucede dentro de la película, su cambio es físico y psicológico.
Archetypes: Are those characters proposed by Jung according to his research which are used in theater and cinema to represent patterns, feelings or emotions.
Arquetipos: Son esos personajes propuestos por Jung según su investigación los cuales son utilizado en el teatro y el cine para representar patrones, sentimientos o emociones.
Stereotype: Characters found in the social imaginary which we can place in the family, such as father, mother, son, daughter, the details of these stereotypes may vary according to the culture of each country.
Estereotipo: Personajes que se encuentran en el imaginario social los cuales lo podemos ubicar en la familia, como papa, mama, hijo, Hija, los detalles de estos estereotipos pueden variar según la cultura de cada país.
Flat: These are characters that do not have a well-developed personality, they usually have a specific function.
Plano: Son personajes que no tienen una personalidad muy desarrollada, normalmente tienen una función específica.
Round: They are undefined characters, neither physically nor morally, we can see them in very different places, behaving differently and with changing moral opinions.
Redondo: Son personajes no definidos, ni físicamente, ni moralmente, los podemos ver en sitios muy distintos, comportándose de forma diferente y con opiniones de moral cambiante.
Genetics and environment/Genética y entorno
Gender: It is important to justify why the character is male or female, taking into account that these characters have different activities in relation to certain issues.
Género: Es importante justificar porque el personaje es hombre o mujer tomando en cuenta que estos personajes tienen actividades diferentes ante ciertos temas.
Race: A character's social development has to be believable for the viewer to have confidence in what is happening.
Raza: El desarrollo social de un personaje tiene que ser creíble para que el espectador tenga confianza en lo que esta sucediendo.
Family background: The family culture permeates the character, so this information is very good to have it clear, it can help a lot for the viewer to talk about the character.
Antecedentes familiares: La cultura familiar impregna mucho al personaje, por lo cual esta información es muy buena tenerla clara, puede ayudar mucho para que el espectador pueda hablar del personaje.
Name: The name of the character speaks a lot about his or her social and cultural class, so it is important to know what name to use.
Nombre: El nombre del personaje habla mucho de su clase social y cultural, por lo cual es importante saber que nombre colocar.
Academic formation: according to the educational process of the character we can understand the ways of behavior of this character.
Formación académica:según el proceso educativo del personaje podemos comprender las formas de comportamiento de este personaje.
Skills: Here the character's ability to respond to situations is developed.
Aptitudes: Aquí se desarrolla la destreza del personaje para responder ante situaciones.
Sexuality: Let's say that the relationship with sex speaks a lot about the character's personality, it speaks a lot if it appears and also if it does not appear.
Sexualidad: Digamos que la relación con el sexo habla mucho de la personalidad del personaje, habla mucho si aparece y también si no aparece.
The backstory: Developing the character's backstory before the film is very important in order to understand what is going on in the film.
La historia de fondo: Desarrollar la historia del personaje antes de la película es muy importante para poder comprender lo que esta pasando dentro de la película.
Age: Knowing how old your character will be is necessary, taking into account that depending on the age the human being behaves in a physical and mental way.
Edad: Saber que edad tendrá tu personaje es necesario, tomando en cuenta que dependiendo de la edad el ser humano se comporta de una forma física y mental.
Occupation: When your character has an occupation, he/she usually has to resort to a cultural technical behavior that characterizes him/her.
Ocupación: Cuando tu personaje tiene una ocupación, normalmente tiene que recurrir a un comportamiento técnico cultural que lo caracteriza.
Enemy friends: The types of friends influence the way the characters are.
Amigos enemigos: Los tipos de amigos influyen en la forma de ser de los personajes.
Appearance: Physical features and costumes are a body language that must be developed when writing a character.
Apariencia: Los rasgos físicos y el vestuario, es un lenguaje corporal que debe ser desarrollado al momento de escribir a un personaje
Use of language: According to the cultural characteristics of the character, he/she should speak with his/her respective accents and vocabulary, this is something that gives him/her a lot of credibility.
Uso del lenguaje: Según las características culturales del personaje, este debería hablar con su respectivos acentos y vocabulario, esto es algo que le da mucha credibilidad.
Character's objective: This would be like the character's engine, it is the impulse that makes him move and go through the spaces he goes through, if the character has a clear objective, everything he does makes sense.
Objetivo del personaje: Esto vendría siendo como el motor del personaje, es el impulso que lo hace moverse y pasar por los espacios que transcurre, si el personaje tiene un objetivo claro, todo lo que hace tiene sentido.
As you develop each of these points into a character, you begin to bring him or her to life, and the more you write about him or her, the more shape and meaning he or she gives to his or her existence. Once this character is perfectly constructed, you can move into a story, and as you write the story you will realize as a writer that the character has a life of its own.
Al desarrollar cada punto de estos en un personaje, empiezas a darle vida, y mientras mas escribas sobre el mas forma y sentido a si existencia. Una vez esté personaje construido perfectamente, puede adentrarse en una historia, a medidas que escribas la historia te darás cuenta como escritor que el personaje tiene vida propia.
