Desde siempre en el cine si una historia es exitosa (o no) se está dispuesto a esperar un número de secuelas, pero siempre he dicho que si existe un género que cumple con exprimir una idea, sin ninguna duda es la del terror, no se tiene ningún miedo, su fórmula es aceptable por un gran número de fans y hasta no importa si la película es mala, siempre habrá algo que admirar, esto ha ocurrido en muchas oportunidades, mostrar siempre lo mismo una y otra vez, parar, hacer un remake y volver a repetir lo mismo, pero como siempre he dicho, hay muchas formas de contar una historia y cuando se busca hacer algo diferente aun no siendo original, esto siempre hará que me sienta a gusto con lo que estoy viendo, justamente eso sucede con esta segunda parte de Fear Street.

Since always in the cinema if a story is successful (or not) is willing to expect a number of sequels, but I have always said that if there is a genre that meets squeeze an idea, without any doubt is the horror, there is no fear, its formula is acceptable by a large number of fans and even no matter if the film is bad, there will always be something to admire, this has happened in many opportunities, always show the same thing over and over again, stop, remake and repeat the same thing, but as I have always said, there are many ways to tell a story and when you seek to do something different even if it is not original, this will always make me feel comfortable with what I'm seeing, just that happens with this second part of Fear Street.
En "Fear Street: 1978" veremos una continuación directa de los acontecimientos sucedidos en su primera parte, en este film tenemos el relato de la única sobreviviente de la masacre ocurrida en el Campamento Nightwing en 1978, un relato lleno de misterio y muertes, pero con revelaciones que podrá ayudar a los sobrevivientes del último ataque de la maldición de Sarah Fier a detener de una vez por todos a la maldición que acecha a Shadyside.
In "Fear Street: 1978" we will see a direct continuation of the events of the first part, in this film we have the story of the only survivor of the massacre that occurred at Camp Nightwing in 1978, a story full of mystery and death, but with revelations that can help the survivors of the last attack of the curse of Sarah Fier to stop once and for all the curse that haunts Shadyside.
Cómo ya lo dije en el post de "Fear Street: 1994", toda la trilogía está dirigida por Leigh Janiak, debo decir que en esta película su trabajo me gustó mucho más, preferiblemente en las primeras escenas, la dirección de la cámara a la hora de seguir a los personajes en plena luz del día me pareció genial, ojalá que algunas de las escenas de las muertes fuera ocurrido en día porque de seguro fueran sido más impactantes, ahora esto no quiere decir que no haya disfrutado el film, ni mucho menos, las escenas de las muertes son buenas, algunas más gráficas que otras y creo que le imprimen realismo, un cruel realismo; Janiak le puso un gran empeño en crear mucha tensión, más que nada en el acto final donde hay un gran grado de terror en esta historia, el cambio hecho de huir en un lugar lleno de calles, casas, locales a un bosque en dónde no existe en dónde refugiarte creo que sirvió mucho más para crear buenas escenas de terror.
El guion fue co-escrito por Janiak y Zak Olkewicz, puedo decir que no difiere la historia de esta segunda parte con la primera, pero creo que está es mejor escrita, la diferencia principal es que en "1978" nos revelan muchas cosas, algo que no se muestra tanto en la primera, las dos películas son historias de sobrevivientes, pero lo poco que saben o creen saber los jóvenes en "1994" no se puede comparar con lo que sabe la única sobreviviente de esta historia, aquí hay algo que quiero relatar y es que a pesar de saber cómo termina el relato de la segunda parte de Fear Street, eso no afecta para nada todo el desarrollo de este film, esto para mí es uno de los grandes puntos positivos que tiene, es por eso que para mí es mejor que su predecesora; otra cosa que me gustó y de seguro le gustará a los muchos fans del género, es que se respeta las reglas impuestas en las películas de Slashers, cosa que no ocurrió de forma inmediata en la primera parte.
As I already said in the post of "Fear Street: 1994", the whole trilogy is directed by Leigh Janiak, I must say that in this film I liked his work much more, preferably in the first scenes, the camera direction when following the characters in broad daylight I thought it was great, I wish some of the scenes of the deaths happened in daylight because for sure they would have been more shocking, now this does not mean that I did not enjoy the film, far from it, the scenes of the deaths are good, some more graphic than others and I think they give it realism, a cruel realism; Janiak put a great effort to create a lot of tension, especially in the final act where there is a great degree of terror in this story, the change made to flee in a place full of streets, houses, local to a forest where there is no where to take refuge I think it served much more to create good scenes of terror.
The script was co-written by Janiak and Zak Olkewicz, I can say that the story of this second part does not differ from the first, but I think it is better written, the main difference is that in "1978" we reveal many things, something that is not shown so much in the first, the two films are stories of survivors, but the little that the young people in "1994" know or think they know can not be compared with what the only survivor of this story knows, here is something I want to relate and is that despite knowing how the story of the second part of Fear Street ends, that does not affect at all the whole development of this film, this for me is one of the great positive points it has, that's why for me it is better than its predecessor; Another thing I liked and I'm sure many fans of the genre will like, is that it respects the rules imposed in the Slashers movies, something that did not happen immediately in the first part.
Las actuaciones son otro punto positivo, me gustó mucho más los personajes de este film, personajes fuertes dispuestas a enfrentar lo que sea desde el momento de ser las menos privilegiadas, tres outcast, tres mujeres valientes, muy buenas "Final Girls", ellas son Sadie Sink como "Ziggy Berman", Emily Rudd como "Cindy Berman" y Ryan Simpkins como "Alice", estás actrices hicieron un gran trabajo, el film es genial gracias a ellas tres, me gustó mucho la interpretación de tres chicas que viven en un lugar tan poco privilegiado cómo es Shadyside, que deben convivir con personas que les recuerdan que son parte de una maldición y que sin creer mucho en eso, es la única respuesta para su triste vida, pero justamente el vivir en tan duro lugar les hará hacer frente a un gran asesino, uno que ya vimos en la primera parte, pero ahora veremos aún más, muy activo, letal sin ningún remordimiento en contra de sus víctimas, es claro que estás tres mujeres junto al asesino es de lo mejor del film.
The performances are another positive point, I liked much more the characters of this film, strong characters willing to face anything from the moment of being the less privileged, three outcast, three brave women, very good "Final Girls", they are Sadie Sink as "Ziggy Berman", Emily Rudd as "Cindy Berman" and Ryan Simpkins as "Alice", these actresses did a great job, the film is great thanks to the three of them, I really liked the interpretation of three girls who live in a place as unprivileged as Shadyside, who must live with people who remind them that they are part of a curse and without believing much in that, is the only answer to their sad life, but just living in such a hard place will make them face a great murderer, one that we already saw in the first part, but now we will see even more, very active, lethal without any remorse against their victims, it is clear that these three women along with the murderer is the best of the film.
Fear Street 1978 es una película poco original y tampoco es perfecta, pero es un buen film que como se hizo en la primer parte se hace homenaje a clásicos del cine Slasher, ya eso para mí sirve y muy bien, me divertí mucho y creo que sirve aún más por cómo es desarrollada para contar cómo la maldición de Sarah Fier afecta a los que viven en Shadyside, eso me gustó mucho, todos están marcados y todos son futuras víctimas, armas para esta maldición; me guste que explore el drama de ser un rechazado por tan solo vivir en un lugar que no es bien visto por todos, que no importa que trates de cambiar siempre serás parte de ese lugar, creo que esa es la mayor maldición que viven estos personajes, es triste, pero a la vez da esperanzas porque a pesar de tener todo en contra siempre luchan para buscar escapar o poner fin a toda la maldad de la cual son víctimas; ya tan solo falta un film que dentro de pocas horas será estrenado, creo que las expectativas al final son las mismas que tuve con la primera, pocas, mayor expectativas tenía con esta segunda parte por el tipo de film que es y me siento satisfecho por lo que vi, me gustó mucho, es entretenida, buen asesino aunque mi queja va que debieron mostrar más muertes o que fuera más ingenioso, pero este asesino creo que no tenía tiempo para eso, igual todo lo mostrado junto a sus protagonistas fue algo que me pareció genial, por los momentos de las dos estrenadas está es mi favorita, a esperar a la tercera y definitiva parte de esta historia.
Fear Street 1978 is an unoriginal film and it's not perfect either, but it's a good film that, as it was done in the first part, pays homage to classic Slasher movies, and for me that works very well, I had a lot of fun and I think it works even more for how it is developed to tell how the curse of Sarah Fier affects those who live in Shadyside, I liked that a lot, everyone is marked and everyone is a future victim, a weapon for this curse; I like that it explores the drama of being an outcast just for living in a place that is not well seen by everyone, that no matter how you try to change you will always be part of that place, I think that is the biggest curse that these characters live, it is sad, but at the same time it gives hope because despite having everything against them they always fight to escape or to put an end to all the evil of which they are victims; I think the expectations at the end are the same I had with the first one, few, I had higher expectations with this second part because of the type of film it is and I feel satisfied with what I saw, I liked it a lot, it is entertaining, good killer although my complaint is that they should have shown more deaths or that it was more ingenious, but I think this killer did not have time for that, but everything shown with its protagonists was something that I thought was great, at the moment of the two released this is my favorite, waiting for the third and final part of this story.
