Aunque como deje claro al principio de esta publicación, siempre he querido ver una historia que narrará eventos después de destruir el último y gran anillo de poder, pero creo que el contar una historia que es un origen a los eventos que mucho tiempo después ocurren en "The Lord of the Rings" es un acierto porque justamente para quien conoció la gran historia creada por Tolkien, vía las tres películas estrenadas en el 2000, se hace un simple y rápido resumen al comienzo de "The Fellowship of the Rings" y es por eso que profundizar en el protagonismo de muchos personajes, en una épica guerra, en muchos sacrificios y en una agridulce victoria, en mi opinión era algo necesario y es por eso que después de una lucha por los derechos para la creación de futuras producciones basadas en la obra de Tolkien; desde Amazon Prime Video se quedó con los derechos de creación, producción y distribución de nuevas producciones y en este caso una serie que justamente relata lo ocurrido en la Segunda Edad de la Tierra Media, miles de años antes de lo que observamos en la gran trilogía de El Señor de los Anillos; en esta primera temporada debemos seguir las ganas de hacer justicia por parte de "Galadriel" quien después de liderar batallas contra un gran mal liderado por Suaron, sigue creyendo que el mal todavía acecha y cuando menos lo esperan volverá atacar; está sospecha de tan aguerrida guerrera se une a extraños eventos que afectan a otros lugares habitados por los Hardfoots, Enanos, humanos; estos extraños eventos podrán ser señales que indiquen que la paz que estuvo reinando en la Tierra Media está cerca de tener un fin.

Although as I made clear at the beginning of this publication, I have always wanted to see a story that narrates events after destroying the last and great ring of power, but I think that telling a story that is an origin to the events that long after occur in "The Lord of the Rings" is a success because just for those who knew the great story created by Tolkien, via the three films released in 2000, a simple and quick summary is made at the beginning of "The Fellowship of the Rings" and that is why delving into the role of many characters, an epic war, many sacrifices and a bittersweet victory, in my opinion was necessary and that is why after a struggle for the rights for the creation of future productions based on the work of Tolkien; from Amazon Prime Video was left with the rights of creation, production and distribution of new productions and in this case a series that justly recounts what happened in the Second Age of Middle Earth, thousands of years before what we see in the great trilogy of The Lord of the Rings; in this first season we must follow the desire to do justice by "Galadriel" who after leading battles against a great evil led by Suaron, still believes that evil still lurks and when least expected will attack again; this suspicion of such a brave warrior joins strange events that affect other places inhabited by the Hardfoots, Dwarves, humans; these strange events may be signs that indicate that the peace that was reigning in Middle Earth is close to an end.

Al momento del anuncio de la creación de la serie, me sorprendió la confianza que Amazon Prime tiene por este proyecto el cual ha anunciado hasta cinco temporadas porque está historia se pensó en desarrollarse en 50 horas y el gasto que ha hecho Amazon es de 1 billón de dólares, algo que me sorprende y que pone una gran presión no solo en esta primera temporada que estreno los dos primeros episodios, sino en las demás; ahora en esta publicación por supuesto que haré referencia a los dos primeros episodios de esta historia estrenados el 2 de septiembre en la plataforma de Amazon Prime Video y en dónde semanalmente estrenará los otros seis episodios restantes siendo el 14 de octubre la fecha para el final de la primera temporada. Los dos primeros episodios llamados "A Shadow of the Past" y "Adrift" refleja el gran presupuesto que tiene esta serie; irremediablemente es imposible no notar el costo en la creación de este mundo de fantasía para la serie y es que hasta debo decir que los primeros 20 minutos del primer episodio es superior a muchas producciones cinematográficas dependientes del uso del CGI; el episodio piloto es sin duda de lo mejor que he visto en el uso de la pantalla verde. Estos dos episodios son dirigidos por J.A. Bayona, director español que ha dirigido films cómo "The Impossible" y "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom"; siendo completamente sincero los dos episodios son diferentes, en el primero hay escenas en exteriores, todo es amplio y es que es necesario mostrar nuevamente lo que es la Tierra Media, muchas de las escenas me gustaron, más que nada las que vemos a "Galadriel" en su búsqueda incesante del mal, las que suceden en los diferentes reinos de los Elfos y en el muy rural hogar de los Hardfoots; es imposible no sentir nostalgia y es que no me cansaré de repetirlo, los diseños, las imágenes y la diferencia de cada lugar es algo notable y muy bien hecho.

El personaje de "Galadriel" es uno que siempre me creó intriga desde el momento que la vi en "The Fellowship of the Rings"; por un tiempo me hice la pregunta de si era aliada o futura enemiga, si era ambiciosa o en realidad quería destruir por completo la maldad en la Tierra Media y es que con breves apariciones en la primera trilogía y en de "The Hobbit", seguía preguntándome qué tan importante era este personaje para toda esta historia; con esto es evidente de que no soy un fiel seguidor de los libros escritos por Tolkien, pero eso no evita en querer saber de esta historia y usar parte de lo que nos ofrece estás producciones y la información que podemos tener por otras vías; ahora volviendo a lo que es este personaje y de como se desarrolla en esta serie o parte de esta historia, es claro que veremos una versión muy lejana a la que vemos en The Lord of the Rings, tal como sucede con otros personajes, pero quiero enfocarme en ella porque para ser sincero es lo que más espero disfrutar de esta historia, es el personaje al cual tengo más expectativas porque quiero ver cómo puede desarrollar de ser alguien que usa la venganza para hacer justicia sin importar el medio o quien la rodea, tiene un gran potencial para ser una líder, una heroína, pero por los momentos solo es egoísta, solitaria porque cree que solo ella podrá poner fin a toda la amenaza que acecha a la Tierra Media. La actuación de Morfydd Clark a quien pude descubrí en el excelente film "Saint Maud", por los momentos hace un buen papel de este importante personaje, muestra la rabia, determinación, las ganas de estar contra lo que dictamine su rey y pienso que eso lo está haciendo bien; espero que en los próximos episodios vayan desarrollando otras facetas, lo necesario para evolucionar como personaje y que la haga mejor; por los momentos es mi personaje favorito y tal como ya he dicho, el que más expectativas me ha creado.

The character of "Galadriel" is one that always created intrigue for me from the moment I saw her in "The Fellowship of the Rings"; for a while I wondered if she was an ally or a future enemy, if she was ambitious or if she really wanted to completely destroy the evil in Middle Earth and with brief appearances in the first trilogy and in "The Hobbit", I kept wondering how important this character was for the whole story; with this it is evident that I am not a faithful follower of the books written by Tolkien, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to know about this story and use part of what these productions offer us and the information we can have in other ways; now returning to what this character is and how he develops in this series or part of this story, it is clear that we will see a version very far from the one we see in The Lord of the Rings, as happens with other characters, but I want to focus on it because to be honest it is what I most expect to enjoy in this story, she is the character I have more expectations because I want to see how she can develop from being someone who uses revenge to do justice no matter the means or who surrounds her, she has a great potential to be a leader, a heroine, but at the moment she is just selfish, lonely because she believes that only she can put an end to all the threat that stalks Middle Earth. The performance of Morfydd Clark who I could discover in the excellent film "Saint Maud", at the moment she plays a good role of this important character, she shows anger, determination, the desire to be against what her king dictates and I think she is doing well; I hope that in the next episodes they will develop other facets, what is necessary to evolve as a character and make her better; at the moment she is my favorite character and as I said, the one that has created more expectations for me.

Los dos primeros episodios de "The Rings of Power" me gustaron mucho; no me escondo al decirlo porque los disfrute, me parecieron excelentes porque tienen una alta producción; me parece que estrenar esta serie en este momento del año me parece perfecto porque creo que no tiene competencia y quiero explicar mi opinión porque sé que en este mismo momento, semanalmente se estrena episodios de la primera temporada de "House of the Dragon" la cual es un completo éxito que ha roto récords en la transmisión de dos episodios, esta serie tiene fieles seguidores de producciones anteriores y con eso también digo que no tiene competencia, ni en historia, ni en producción; ambas dominan y no veo la razón que compitan porque tiene grandes bases de fans que las seguirán y criticarán. Es notorio de que está serie basada en The Lord of the Rings puede ser una larga introducción o por lo menos eso es lo que reflejó los dos primeros episodios y creo que el tercero episodio mantenga ese camino por los personajes que todavía deben aparecer o hasta que sea evidente el regreso del gran mal; esto tampoco es malo porque si se le dedica tres episodios o hasta cuatro para mostrar quienes serán los protagonistas y los misterios que se mantengan por el resto de la temporada, nunca es algo malo porque si se va desarrollando aún más está serie; por ahora recomiendo esta serie, sé que hay críticas, las mismas de siempre u otras que en realidad me parecen ridículas, pero espero que cada quien vea por lo menos el comienzo de esta nueva historia y que cada quien cree su propia opinión.

It is notorious that this series based on The Lord of the Rings can be a long introduction or at least that is what the first two episodes reflected and I believe that the third episode will keep that way because of the characters that still have to appear or until the return of the great evil is evident; this is not bad either because if three or even four episodes are dedicated to show who will be the main characters and the mysteries that will remain for the rest of the season, it is never a bad thing because if this series is developed even more; for now I recommend this series, I know there are criticisms, the same as always or others that actually seem ridiculous to me, but I hope that everyone sees at least the beginning of this new story and that everyone creates their own opinion.
