As a faithful movie lover, comedies cannot be left out. This genre doesn't have a specific time to watch because at any moment it refreshes our soul, besides being one of my all-time favorites and I think that of most moviegoers. To begin with, I couldn't specify any film as such because I feel it would miss a lot of material and I truly value each and every one of them, so I will encompass them by their actors who, in addition, also produced and/or directed these films. So let's begin.

IMPOSSIBLE not to laugh at any of these brothers' movies, it's total madness and they're the kind you could watch a thousand times and NEVER get bored. If I had to pick one out of the pile of genius of these madmen, it would be White Chicks (obvious): two agents on an "undercover" mission where they impersonate two daughters of a billionaire who, strangely now people liked better than the "real" ones. The dialogue, the performances, every sarcasm is pure gold and I could say the lines from memory. I just love it. The other shoots are also very good, from their beginnings with Shawn and Marlon's famous Scary Movie saga (which are the most famous of this family emporium), to the perhaps not so well known ones like Another Ridiculous Dancing Movie where Damon Jr. stars (although other family members worked here), where they both spoof various movies (horror and juvenile, respectively) giving them a more stupid, illogical and funny twist; These are just to name a few, because upon researching, I realized that ALL the family has a long trajectory in the audiovisual media.

Adam Sandler is synonymous with sarcasm and endless laughter. To me he is a total genius of the genre. In '99 Adam became the founder of this company where the name is a mixture of two movies starring him (Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison). Although it can be said that not all the movies he stars in or works on are produced in-house because this actor is acclaimed in other production companies; in fact many other comedy movies were produced here and they are also very good. Two of my favorites of his are Big Daddy (which despite all the jokes, I find it very tender to see him in the role of dad) and Anger Management (although it should have been called Linda Wants to Drive Me Crazy), I could also watch them a million times without getting bored. On the other hand, Sandler has not only stayed with the comedy, he has also participated in installments with another plot but that would be a topic for another post.

If we talk about TV shows, they are not left behind with this genre either. My favorite: The Big Bang Theory. These brainiacs made me fall in love with them and Sheldon's obsessions hooked me from the first episode. A group of very smart nerds trying to be cool or more nominal and seeing them fail so often is a gem. Plus, it has that intellectual bonus where I could learn a fact or two I didn't know. So I would happily spend a Sunday marathon of TBBT.

In my childhood nights I couldn't miss watching Kenan & Kel, two friends that everything always went wrong for them. They were always in trouble and when they weren't, they found it on their own; every episode was an adventure full of craziness and things that could only happen to them. Kenan is arguably the wittier of the pair and Kel the one who always screws up, but together they make a great duo. They also made a TV movie of the same series to say goodbye. A fun fact that became part of me was that because of Kel, I also became a fan of orange soda.

I could also mention, the somewhat forgotten, South Park. A cartoon full of black humor, vulgarity, explicit scenes, imitations of actors, etc., starring "kids" I loved it as a child; obviously my parents wouldn't let me watch it, but every once in a while I would hide to watch and as I got older we would all watch it. Too bad they took it off MTV and that back then there were no sites to download series (yes, I'm old school). We even went to several stores to look for South Park cassettes, stuffed animals and posters, but here they were not very well known and they didn't have any of them back then.

The list is long, I could go on naming hundreds of movies, shows and series that make me laugh my guts out, but I would not finish today. So if you haven't seen them, I recommend them 100% and if you have already seen them, watch them again, you can't miss anything!

Como fiel amante del cine, las comedias no pueden quedar por fuera. Este género no tiene un momento específico para ver porque en cualquier momento nos refresca el alma, aparte de ser uno de mis favoritos de toda la vida y creo que de la mayoría de los cinéfilos. Para comenzar, no podría especificar alguna película como tal porque siento que se perdería mucho material y de verdad que valoro a todas y cada una de ellas, así que las englobaré por sus actores que, además, también produjeron y/o dirigieron estas películas. Así que comencemos.

IMPOSIBLE no reírse en ninguna de las películas de estos hermanos, es una total locura y son de esas que podrías ver mil veces y NUNCA aburrirte. Si tuviera que escoger alguna de entre el montón de genialidad de estos locos, sería ¿Dónde están las rubias? (obvio): dos agentes en una misión “encubierta” donde se hacen pasar por dos hijas de un multimillonario que, extrañamente ahora le caían mejor a las personas que las “reales”. Los diálogos, las actuaciones, cada sarcasmo es oro puro y podría decir las líneas de memoria. Simplemente me encanta. Los demás rodajes también son muy buenos, desde sus inicios con la famosa saga Scary Movie de Shawn y Marlon (que son los más famosos de este emporio familiar), hasta las quizás no tan conocidas como Otra Ridícula Película de Baile donde está como protagonista Damon Jr, (aunque aquí trabajaron otros miembros de la familia), en donde ambas se burlan de varias películas (de terror y juveniles, respectivamente) dándoles un giro más estúpido, ilógico y gracioso; estas solo por nombrar algunas porque investigando, pude darme cuenta de que TODA la familia tiene larga trayectoria en el medio audiovisual.

Por otra parte, Sandler no se ha quedado solo con la comedia, también ha participado en entregas con otra trama pero eso ya sería tema para otro post.

Si hablamos de programas de televisión, tampoco se quedan atrás con este género. Mi favorito: The Big Bang Theory. Estos cerebritos me enamoraron y las obsesiones de Sheldon me engancharon desde el primer capítulo. Un grupo de nerds muy inteligentes tratando de ser cool o más nomales y verlos fallar tan seguido es una joya. Además, tiene ese plus intelectual de donde podía aprender uno que otro dato que no sabía. Así que pasaría feliz de la vida un domingo de maratón de TBBT.

En las noches de mi infancia no podía faltar ver Kenan & Kel, dos amigos que todo siempre les salía mal. Siempre estaban metidos en algún lío y cuando no era así, ellos solitos lo encontraban; cada episodio era una aventura llena de locura y cosas que únicamente le podían pasar a ellos. Kenan se podría decir que es el más ingenioso del par y Kel el que siempre mete la pata, pero juntos hacen un gran dúo. También hicieron una película para televisión de la misma serie para despedirse. Un dato curioso que se hizo parte de mí fue que por Kel, también me volví fan de la gaseosa de naranja.

También podría mencionar a, los un poco ya olvidados, South Park. Una comiquita llena de humor negro, vulgaridades, escenas explicitas, imitaciones de actores, etc., protagonizadas por “niños” me encantó de pequeña; obviamente mis padres no me dejaban verlos, pero de vez en cuando me escondía para mirar y ya al ir creciendo la veíamos todos. Lástima que la hayan sacado de MTV y que en ese entonces no hubieran páginas para descargar series (sí, soy de la vieja escuela). Llegábamos, incluso, a buscar en varias tiendas los casetes, peluches y afiches de South Park, pero aquí en no eran muy conocidos y no tenían nada de ellos en ese entonces.

La lista es larga, seguiría nombrando cientas de películas, shows y series que me sacan las tripas de tanto reír pero no terminaría hoy. Así que si no las han visto, se las recomiendo 100% y si ya las vieron, véanlas otra vez, ¡no hay pérdida de nada!
