Back when I was a teenager, the Back to the Future franchise became a synonym ofthe 80s, one of the most iconic films of our era. I remember going out with my friends and my older sister to watch all these movies on the cinema, and being ecstatic when they ended up in a cliffhanger.
Back to the Future was and still is an amazing experience, everyone went to watch it, it was just something you HAD to do! I'm glad I was able to watch them all in the big screen, being amazed by the special effects and the amazing characters, immersing myself in this science fiction film.
Back to the Future came out in 1985 and it's the first installment of the franchise. It was directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale.
This film is about Marty McFly, a teenager that has an eccentric genious scientist old man who he calls "Doc" as his best friend. This scientist has discovered the perfect method to time travel, having his time machine inside a DeLorean car (I can't think about this vehicle and not remember this film). This machine allows Marty to go back in time to the time where his parents were teenagers just like him, becoming their friend and having to help them be together just as it's supposed to be.
Back to the Future had a great impact on me and I know that it also was the same for many of the people who got to watch it. Even my nephews, who are much younger, love this movie!
This is an amazing film, full of comedy, action sequences and a lot of imagination. This movie sparked a lot of ideas that seemed impossible at the time (and still are, but the newer generation is more familiar with these concepts) such a timetravel, and the idea of meeting your parents when they were your age!
I fell in love with Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, he looked so young in this role, everyone thought he was so much younger! The duo, chemistry and dinamic between Marty and the Doc was amazing, they became an iconic duo and one of my favorites.
The jokes and the script were really clever and played along with this science fiction setting, it was really funny to watch Marty try to avoid his teenage mother flirting with him, and desperetaly trying to make their parents fall in love. I also really love the soundtrack of this movie, Earth Angel by Marvin Berry and Harry Waters is one of my favorite songs.
I adore this film, it's one of my favorites. It's energetic and fun, an amazing script that is able to move everything along and not boring the audience. The setups and the payoffs are great. I remember being really anxious, was Marty going to able to make it? Of course I knew he would, but I couldn't help it, that's just how amazing Back to the Future is!
