I started watching telenovelas at a very young age and one thing I can say is that my siblings and I have had really different tastes... My sister has joined the platform, but we are really different people in every way. On the other hand, RCTV meant a lot to me, it was that place I wanted to get to as a child with dreams, and it was the home of entertainment, universality of thought, and respect for freedom in my country Venezuela. That's why, since I was a child I loved to watch soap operas, series, animes, movies, and now k-dramas, that's why, called freedom. Yes, it is that memory in search of that nostalgia! Smiles, and above all the desire to be there at a time in my life building that which I love so much.
Comencé a ver telenovelas desde muy joven y algo que puedo afirmar es que mis hermanos y yo hemos tenido realmente gustos distintos… Mi hermana se ha unido a la plataforma, pero realmente somos personas diferentes en todos los sentidos. Por otro lado, RCTV significo mucho para mí, era ese lugar al que quería llegar como un niño con sueños, y es que era la casa del entretenimiento, la universalidad de pensamiento, y el respeto de la libertad en mi país Venezuela. Por eso, desde pequeño amé ver telenovelas, series, animes, películas, y ahora k-dramas, por eso, llamado libertad. Sí, ¡es ese recuerdo en busca de aquella nostalgia! Y bueno, vi programas en Venevison hasta más no poder, pero ninguno que pudiera suplir RCTV, no obstante, me quede con las novelas que Televen transmitía de la cadena televisiva Telemundo Internacional.

Two songs are the ones I can't delete from my repertoire, unique in themselves and they express the whole plot between Mauricio and Miranda Cruz... I rewind, the first song is: -Solo por amor de Samo-, which, expresses that the silence of that forbidden love faces danger before everything, and it is because although it is hard to say it, the only ones to blame are the two of them. Dos canciones son las que no puedo borrar de mi repertorio, únicas en sí mismas y es que expresan toda la trama entre Mauricio y Miranda Cruz… Cuando se ama, usted puede romper las reglas federales, pero acá la cuestión es lo que ambos hicieron sin saber lo que les pasaría por su propia imprudencia, una por mentir y la otra por un par de copas. Rebobino, la primera canción es: –Solo por amor de Samo–, la cual, expresa que el silencio de ese amor prohibido enfrenta el peligro ante todo, y es porque aunque sea difícil decirlo, los únicos culpables son ellos dos. Un simple rostro de amor que se enfrenta al peligro, puede que realmente duela, pero claramente esta canción expresa una y otra vez todo en la telenovela.

La rompa de aquella época era muy semejante a la que usábamos y veíamos en Venezuela… Por eso puedo decir que todo está muy bien conjugado como una historia natural de entorno no tan cotidiano, aunque las personas precisen que esto moralmente no puede ocurrir. Recordemos algo, la moralidad es apreciable en distintos aspectos en todos los países y también de forma individual a pesar de su propia concepción.

Escribir sobre The Heirs me motiva verdaderamente… No es una historia como la anterior, ciertamente es prohibida, pero no a ese nivel en donde las drogas se hacen presentes. La rebeldía si es algo que poseen los protagonistas y los diversos personajes. Además, como les he contado, la sociedad coreana es muy rígida, pero eso es lo que ha provocado que en el mundo entero tenga una alta curiosidad.

Música y vestuario || Music and costumes
Existe realmente dos canciones que me gustaron de esta historia: — Loves Is —; así como también — Moments—. Realmente son dos “OST” únicos y que describen muy bien a los personajes. Otro punto en el que no daré una gran profundidad es el vestuario, pero toda la gama de cárdigan y suéteres que uso Lee Min Ho o Kim Tan en la producción de “The Heirs” efectivamente fueron únicos. En cada capítulo le veía con uno diferente, ¡me gustan los suéteres! Por eso realmente resalto este punto, creo que al vestir uno hace un buen juego con la personalidad de cada quien.
There are really two songs that I liked from this story: - Loves Is -; as well as - Moments-. They really are two unique "OSTs" that describe the characters very well. Another point that I won't give a great depth on is the wardrobe, but the whole range of cardigans and sweaters that Lee Min Ho or Kim Tan wore in the production of "The Heirs" were indeed unique. Every episode I would see him wearing a different one, I love sweaters! That's why I really emphasize this point, I think wearing one makes a good match with one's personality.

Cuando eres una persona con gustos diferentes puedes obtener una visualización distinta de producciones que pueden tener el mismo concepto, pero que convergen y se desarrollan en diferentes formas. Quizás los latinos tenemos esa sangre de efervescencia y en Corea se busca transmitir hasta cierto punto la ingenuidad, ¡aunque esto ha cambiado los últimos dos años! La alta resolución ha llegado a nuestras pantallas, y, a nuestra vida, es algo que en realidad no podemos desprender de nuestro destino como consumidores de este tipo de contenido.
When you are a person with different tastes you can get a different visualization of productions that may have the same concept, but converge and develop in different ways. Maybe we Latinos have that blood of effervescence and in Korea it seeks to convey naivety to a certain extent, although this has changed in the last couple of years! High resolution has come to our screens, and, to our lives, it is something that we cannot really detach from our destiny as consumers of this type of content.
Recordar mis anécdotas me hace sentir feliz porque realmente me sentí identificado con mucho de los personajes y es que cada uno de ellos posee una personalidad indiscutible que transciende y se lleva en el alma de su creador. ¿Valores? Sí, eso es algo que está presente en ambas producciones. El día de hoy puedo decir que ambas tuvieron desenlaces agradables, una más fuerte y dolorosa que la otra, pero al final o desenlace la travesía estuvo tomada.
Remembering my anecdotes makes me feel happy because I really felt identified with many of the characters and each one of them has an indisputable personality that transcends and is carried in the soul of its creator. Values? Yes, that is something that is present in both productions. Today I can say that both had pleasant outcomes, one stronger and more painful than the other, but in the end the journey was taken.

La respuesta es: –tal vez–, hoy día no tengo el mismo tiempo que antes para ver una telenovela súper larga, por eso opto por miniseries o k-dramas de 16 capítulos. ¡The Heirs entra en esa condición! Creo que lo mejor de ambas producciones son los mensajes, siempre me quedo con esto y es lo que vale la pena en su mera o absoluta totalidad.
Would I watch them again? The answer is: -maybe-, nowadays I don't have the same time as before to watch a super long telenovela, that's why I opt for miniseries or k-dramas of 16 chapters. The Heirs fits in that condition! I think the best of both productions are the messages, I always keep this and this is what is worthwhile in its mere or absolute totality.
