Yesterday I had the opportunity to see "Fall" or "Vertigo" in Spanish for the second time, it's time for me to tell you about my experience with the film.¡Hola, hola, hivers del cine! Espero hayan tenido un martes fenomenal, bienvenidos a una nueva reseña. Ayer tuve la oportunidad de verme por segunda vez “Fall” o “Vértigo” en español, es momento de que les cuente mi experiencia con la cinta.
Hunter and Becky, two best climbing friends, embark on a new adventure: climbing a communications tower over 600 meters high. Everything seemed to be going great until an accident leaves them with no way to descend; out in the open in the desert, alone and on a small platform that barely occupies the two of them. Thirsty, hungry and tired, they must find a way to get out of there without dying in the attempt.Hunter y Becky, dos mejores amigas alpinistas, se lanzan a una nueva aventura: escalar una torre de comunicaciones de más de 600 metros de altura. Todo parecía ir de maravilla hasta que un accidente las deja sin manera de bajar; a la intemperie en el desierto, solas y en una pequeña plataforma en la que a duras penas ocupan las dos. Sedientas, hambrientas y cansadas, deberán buscar la manera de salir de allí sin morir en el intento.
Visually it's a good movie, if you ask me I'll tell you that the suspense is a bit cliché but the aerial shots improve the situation a bit. Since I picked it up I knew I was going to have a bad time, friends, I'm afraid even of children roller coasters. As a first impression and paying attention you get pretty hooked, however, I don't think it's a movie I would watch too many times. Also, Grace Fulton's performance as Becky...I'll just say I laughed several times.Visualmente es una buena película, si me lo preguntas te diré que el suspenso es un poco cliché pero las tomas aéreas mejoran un poco la situación. Desde que la escogí sabía que lo iba a pasar mal, amigos, yo le tengo miedo hasta a las montañas rusas infantiles. Como primera impresión y prestando atención te enganchas bastante, sin embargo, no creo que sea una película que vería demasiadas veces. Además, la actuación de Grace Fulton como Becky... solo diré que me reí en varias ocasiones.
The story is quite simple, it has some holes that would have been solved by consulting a real mountaineer. If you are one of those viewers who like realism at its best in this kind of stories, save yourself the displeasure. But in my opinion, the implausible parts are easy to forgive. The ending is not a device I haven't seen before but if I tell you I predicted it, I'm lying, so it was a good twist.La historia es bastante sencilla, tiene algunos huecos que se hubiesen solucionado consultando a un alpinista real. Si eres de los espectadores que les gusta el realismo a todo lo que da en este tipo de historias, ahórrate el disgusto. Pero a mi parecer, las partes inverosímiles son fáciles de perdonar. El final no es un recurso que no haya visto antes pero si te digo que lo predije, te miento, así que fue un buen giro.
