Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un nuevo post bastante genial, esta vez de una lista de algunas series que me gustaban mucho en mi infancia. Tenía mucho tiempo sin compartirles listas así y estoy segura que hablé de series así en algún momento, sin embargo quiero traerles más contenido hablando de mis recuerdos y las cosas que disfrutaba hace años. De niña la verdad es que veía mucha televisión y por ende, veía demasiadas caricaturas y muchas me gustaban, algunas más que otras, pero me gustaban. Hace unos días me tope con algunas intros de comiquitas que veía en mi infancia y que no son muy recordadas, pero que yo sí las recuerdo con mucho cariño y hoy vengo a hablarles de algunas de ellas, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I’m come to you with another really cool post, this time, a list of some TV shows I really loved as a kid. It’s been a while since I’ve shared lists like this, and I’m sure I’ve talked about shows like these before, but I want to bring you more content about my memories and the things I enjoyed years ago. As a kid, I actually watched a lot of TV, so I watched tons of cartoons, and I liked a lot of them, some more than others, but I liked them all. A few days ago, I stumbled upon some opening sequences from cartoons I watched as a kid that aren’t very well-known, but I remember them fondly, and today I’m here to tell you about a few of them. Let’s go!
La Robot Adolescente | My Life as a Teenage Robot
Esta caricatura la pasaban por el canal de Nickelodeon, siendo estrenada en el año 2003 y recuerdo muy bien los momentos en los que veía esta serie. Trataba de una robot llamada XJ-9, mejor conocida como Jenny, creada por una señora científica llamada Noreen Wakeman. Ella trata de vivir una vida como si fuese una adolescente normal en una escuela secundaria, siendo amiga de un chico llamado Brad Carbunkle y su hermano menor, Tuck Carbunkle, sin embargo, también es acosada por las chicas más populares de la escuela. Todo esto lo vive mientras tiene que salvar el día con su poderes de diversas amenazas que invaden al mundo, todo esto mientras vive experiencias tratando de ser normal, lo cual es muy difícil. Es una caricatura original, recuerdo que durante la cuarentena conseguí algunos episodios en internet y realmente la disfruté y entendí porque me gustaba mucho cuando era niña.
This cartoon aired on Nickelodeon, premiering in 2003, and I remember very well the times when I used to watch it. It was about a robot named XJ-9, better known as Jenny, created by a female scientist named Noreen Wakeman. She tries to live a life as if she were a normal teenager in high school, befriending a boy named Brad Carbunkle and his younger brother, Tuck Carbunkle; however, she is also bullied by the most popular girls in school. She goes through all of this while having to save the day with her powers from various threats invading the world, all while trying to live a normal life, which is very difficult. It’s a unique cartoon; I remember that during quarantine I found some episodes online and really enjoyed them, and I understood why I liked it so much when I was a kid.
Los Sustitutos | The Replacements
Esta serie la transmitían en Disney Channel y según recuerdo, la pasaban mayormente en las mañanas. Cuando me preparaba para ir al colegio veía muchas caricaturas, y en un momento dado pasaban Brandy y el señor Bigotes, para luego dar pie a esta comiquita tan genial. Trataba de unos hermanos llamados Todd y Riley que parece que eran huérfanos, un día ven un anuncio y al llamar al número les traen unos padres que son una agente secreta y un doble de riesgo, además de que con ese número pueden llegar a sustituir a cualquier persona que ellos deseen con Fleemco, y toda la serie trata de como ellos viven muchas ocurrencias donde Fleemco intenta resolver todos los problemas que tienen los niños, además de tener unas tramas bastante interesantes. Era bastante original y entretenida, me gustaba bastante y me sorprende que aunque mucha gente l vio, no la recuerdan, yo aún recuerdo la intro con mucha claridad.
This show aired on the Disney Channel, and as I recall, it was mostly on in the mornings. While I was getting ready for school, I’d watch a lot of cartoons, and at one point they’d show Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, which would then lead into this awesome little cartoon. It was about two siblings named Todd and Riley who seemed to be orphans. One day they saw an ad, and when they called the number, they were given parents who were a secret agent and a stunt double. Plus, with that number, they could use Fleemco to replace anyone they wanted, and the whole series is about how they get into all sorts of situations where Fleemco tries to solve all the kids’ problems, plus it had some pretty interesting storylines. It was pretty original and entertaining; I really liked it, and I’m surprised that even though a lot of people saw it, they don’t remember it. I still remember the intro very clearly.
Dave El Bárbaro | Dave the Barbarian
Esta comiquita la pasaban en Jetix en las tardes o en las noches, no recuerdo muy bien, pero sí recuerdo que me gustaba muchísimo. Cuando era niña paseaba por todos los canales que podía a ver que había, y siempre tenía horarios fijos, por ejemplo a una hora veía Jóvenes Titanes en Cartoon Network y luego veía Dave el Bárbaro en Jetix, y era un cronograma que no me perdía. Esta serie esta ambientada en el Medioevo, donde un Bárbaro llamado Dave vive diferentes aventuras en conjunto a sus hermanas las princesas Candy y Fang a la cual siempre confunden con un mono, y su tío Oswidge, todo mientras los padres de estos los cuales son los reyes de la tierra donde habitan, se fueron a una guerra en un lugar lejano. Dave es muy cobarde pero siempre hace frente a los problemas con mucho ingenio y algo de comedia, porque la verdad es que recuerdo que la serie era muy graciosa y con chistes muy geniales, como el de Dave improvisando un megafono con una cuerda, una ardilla y un megáfono. Me encantaba y aunque sé que muchos la vieron, no la recuerdan tanto como merece, ya que era muy buena y bastante original.
They used to air this cartoon on Jetix in the afternoons or evenings, I don’t remember exactly, but I do remember that I loved it. When I was a kid, I’d flip through every channel I could to see what was on, and I always had a set schedule: for example, at a certain time I’d watch Teen Titans on Cartoon Network and then Dave the Barbarian on Jetix, and it was a routine I never missed. This series is set in the Middle Ages, where a barbarian named Dave goes on various adventures alongside his sisters, the princesses Candy and Fang, who is always mistaken for a monkey and his uncle Oswidge, all while their parents, who are the kings of the land where they live, have gone off to war in a faraway place. Dave is very cowardly but always tackles problems with a lot of ingenuity and a touch of comedy, because the truth is that I remember the series being very funny with great jokes, like the one where Dave improvises a megaphone using a rope, a squirrel, and a megaphone. I loved it, and although I know many people watched it, they don’t remember it as much as it deserves, since it was very good and quite original.
