Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post súper genial, esta vez hablando sobre series Live Action de mi infancia. Hace un tiempo realicé una publicación sobre comiquitas de la infancia, y la verdad me quedé con las ganas de hablar de esas series Live Action que marcaron mi infancia, las cuales fueron varias y que seguro alguno de ustedes conocerá, y que si no las conocen se las recomiendo bastante. Comencemos!
Hello again! Today I bring you a super cool post, this time talking about Live Action series from my childhood. Some time ago I made a post about cartoons from my childhood, and the truth is that I wanted to talk about those Live Action series that marked my childhood, which were several and surely some of you know them, and if you don't know them I highly recommend them. Let's go!
Kenan & Kel
Esta serie trata de dos mejores amigos llamados Kenan Rockmore, un chico bastante ingenioso, que trabaja en Rigby's como cajero para ganar ingresos extra y cuyas ideas siempre meten al dúo en problemas; y Kel Kimble, un chico algo torpe, amante de la gaseosa de naranja, que aparenta ser tonto y que empeora los problemas con sus ocurrencias. Todos sus episodios comienzan con ellos dos saliendo de un telón hablando a un público, narrando un poco de lo que trataría el episodio, y al final salen del mismo telón para hablar sobre lo que pasó. Realmente me encanta como ambos se meten en problemas bastante ridículos pero que llegan a ser medio graves a lo largo del desarrollo del capítulo, mostrándonos como Kenan intenta hacer planes que empeoran cada vez más la situación y Kel pues... es Kel y ya. Siento que esta serie marco parte dela cultura popular en los chicos que la vieron, chistes como "¿A quién le gusta la gaseosa de naranja? ¡A Kel le gusta la gaseosa de naranja!" es una de las muchas bromas que se tienen en base a este show tan genial. Hace unos meses la volví a ver y de verdad no me deja de hacer reír, es una verdadera joya.
This serie is about two best friends named Kenan Rockmore, a rather witty guy, who works at Rigby's as a cashier to earn extra income and whose ideas always get the duo into trouble; and Kel Kimble, a somewhat awkward, orange soda-loving guy, who appears to be dumb and makes trouble worse with his witticisms. All of their episodes start with the two of them coming out of a curtain speaking to an audience, narrating a bit of what the episode would be about, and at the end they come out of the same curtain to talk about what happened. I really love how the two of them get into some pretty ridiculous problems but that become half serious throughout the development of the episode, showing us how Kenan tries to make plans that make the situation worse and worse and Kel just... is Kel and that's it. I feel that this serie was part of the popular culture of the kids who watched it, jokes like "Who likes orange soda? Kel likes orange soda!" is one of the many jokes that are based on this great show. A few months ago I watched it again and it really doesn't stop making me laugh, it's a real gem.
Manual de Supervivencia Escolar de Ned | Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide
Siento que esta serie es poco apreciada y recordada cuando es un tesoro. La serie gira entorno a Ned Bigby, un chico normal que se dedica a hacer un manual de supervivencia para sobrellevar los días la de escuela mediante consejos prácticos, algunos un poco irreales, y otros bastantes útiles para la vida diaria. Ned tiene dos mejores amigos, Simon Nelson Cook, un chico sumamente inteligente amante de la ciencia cuyos lentes son de computadora y su casillero tiene un sinfín de artefactos tecnológicos, y Jennifer Mosely, una chica inteligente con grandes capacidades para los deportes. Todos los problemas traen envueltos a muchos otros personajes, algunos estudiantes como el popular Sett Powers, la hermosa Suzie Crabgrass, el bully Billy Loomer, y como olvidar a Cabeza de Coco. También se ven afectados algunos profesores, como el Sr. Sweeney, Alisstair Wright, la entrenadora Dirga, Monroe y otros muchos peculiares profesores que ayudan ya la vez dificultan la vida de sus alumnos en la serie. Nuestros protagonistas se ven envueltos en diversas situaciones algo exageradas, pero que tocan temas cotidianos de una escuela secundaria, como el día de la foto escolar, tener un morral adecuado, que hacer cuando tienes tu primer enamoramiento e incluso hay un episodio que habla sobre una ola de gripe, que cuando lo vi recientemente me recordó a lo que estamos viviendo actualmente jajaja. Esta serie la veo actualmente y me sigue encantando, realmente marcó mi infancia.
I feel that this serie is underappreciated and under-remembered when it is a treasure. The serie revolves around Ned Bigby, a normal kid who dedicates himself to making a survival manual to get through the school days through practical advice, some a bit unrealistic, and others quite useful for everyday life. Ned has two best friends, Simon Nelson Cook, a highly intelligent science-loving boy whose glasses are computer glasses and his locker is full of technological gadgets, and Jennifer Mosely, a smart girl with a great capacity for sports. All the problems involve many other characters, some students like the popular Sett Powers, the beautiful Suzie Crabgrass, the bully Billy Loomer, and how to forget Coconut Head. Also affected are some teachers, such as Mr. Sweeney, Alisstair Wright, Coach Dirga, Monroe and many other peculiar teachers who help and at the same time hinder the lives of their students in the serie. Our main characters are involved in various situations that are somewhat exaggerated, but touch on everyday high school issues, such as school picture day, having a proper backpack, what to do when you have your first crush and there is even an episode that talks about a flu wave, which when I saw it recently reminded me of what we are currently experiencing hahaha. I watch this serie nowadays and I still love it, it really marked my childhood.
Hannah Montana
Ustedes no saben cuanto amaba esta serie, de verdad que sí. La trama gira entorno a Miley Stewart, una chica normal que va a la secundaria y sufre de constantes ataques por las chicas populares. Sin embargo, en secreto es la mundialmente famosa cantante Hannah Montana, que al ponerse una peluca, vestuarios de marca y maquillaje, camufla su verdadera identidad para que nadie se dé cuenta de su doble vida. Ella tiene dos mejores amigos Lilly Truscott y Oliver Oken, los cuales descubren su identidad por azares del destino y le guardan su secreto, apoyándola constantemente al igual que su hermano Jackson Stewart y su papá, la ex estrella country Robby Ray Stewart. Vemos como la doble vida de Miley no es nada sencilla, ya que el contraste entre estrella pop y chica normal es increíblemente grande, ocasionándole problemas en muchos ámbitos. Sin embargo, la serie tiene comedia bastante genial, ya que a los personajes que ahí aparecen les ocurren cosas bastantes graciosas, además de que a veces está el temor de que descubran la identidad de Miley y que no vuelva a tener una vida normal. Los chicos de la serie viven lo que cualquier adolescente le pasaría, como problemas en la escuela, enamoramientos y situaciones que ocurren por descuidos o torpeza. Todas estas ocurrencias siempre terminan con alguna buena moraleja y una canción para Hannah Montana. Cabe destacar que aún me sé muchísimas canciones de Hannah Montana y sigo cantando la canción de introducción con muchísima emoción.
You guys don't know how much I loved this serie, I really do. The plot revolves around Miley Stewart, a normal girl who goes to high school and suffers from constant attacks by popular girls. However, she is secretly the world famous singer Hannah Montana, who by donning a wig, name brand costumes and makeup, camouflages her true identity so no one will notice her double life. She has two best friends Lilly Truscott and Oliver Oken, both of whom discover her identity as fate would have it and keep her secret, constantly supporting her as well as her brother Jackson Stewart and her dad, former country star Robby Ray Stewart. We see how Miley's double life is far from simple, as the contrast between pop star and normal girl is incredibly large, causing her problems in many areas. However, the serie has some pretty great comedy, as some pretty funny things happen to the characters that appear in it, plus sometimes there is the fear that they will discover Miley's identity and that she will never have a normal life again. The kids in the serie go through what any teenager would go through, such as problems at school, crushes and situations that occur due to carelessness or clumsiness. All these occurrences always end with a good moral and a song for Hannah Montana. It should be noted that I still know many, many Hannah Montana songs and I still sing the intro song with a lot of emotion.
Zack & Cody
En este caso hablaré de Zack y Cody: Gemelos en Acción, ya que es de lejos mi favorita. Esta serie trata sobre unos hermanos gemelos llamados Zack y Cody Martin, que viven en uno de los Hoteles Tipton ya que su mamá trabaja en el hotel. Ese hotel es uno de tantos de la familia Tipton, los cuales tienen una cadena de hoteles bastante lujosos. Estos gemelos se meten en constantes problemas por las ideas locas generalmente provenientes del problemático Zack en las que el cerebrito de Cody participa o se ve involucrado. Esto es un dolor de cabeza para el gerente del hotel, el Sr. Musby, el cual siempre intenta evitar que los hermanos logren hacer sus planes locos. También conocemos a London Tipton, una chica rica y tonta que siempre acude a la vendedora de dulces Maddie Fitzpatrick, la cual siempre cataloga de mal vestida pero aún así la quiere, porque es la única que soporta sus torpezas. Los episodios son una joya, recuerdo uno que debo destacar donde Maddie (interpretada por Ashley Tisdale) intenta obtener el papel de Sharpay Evans de High School Musical, pero no lo obtiene porque no se parece en nada a ella, cosas que me encantó y me dio muchísima risa. Recuerdo que amaba muchísimo a los gemelos (todavía los amo hasta el sol de hoy) y no me perdía ni un solo capítulo cuando lo pasaban en Disney.
In this case I will talk about Suite Life of Zack & Cody, as it is by far my favorite. This serie is about twin brothers named Zack and Cody Martin, who live in one of the Tipton Hotels since their mom works at the hotel. That hotel is one of many owned by the Tipton family, who own a chain of fairly luxurious hotels. These twins get into constant trouble because of the crazy ideas usually coming from the troubled Zack in which Cody's brainiac participates or gets involved. This is a headache for the hotel manager, Mr. Musby, who is always trying to keep the brothers from getting their crazy plans off the ground. We also meet London Tipton, a rich and silly girl who always goes to candy saleswoman Maddie Fitzpatrick, which she always labels as poorly dressed but still loves her, because she is the only one who puts up with her awkwardness. The episodes are a gem, I remember one that I must highlight where Maddie (played by Ashley Tisdale) tries to get the role of Sharpay Evans from High School Musical, but she doesn't get it because she doesn't look anything like her, things that I loved and gave me lots and lots of laughs. I remember loving the twins so much (I still love them to this day) and never missed a single episode when it was on Disney.
Drake & Josh
Espero que muchos de ustedes conozcan este clásico de Nickelodeon, ya que me parece la mejor serie de comedia adolescente que hay. Este programa salió gracias al Show de Amanda, ya que Josh Peck y Drake Bell hacen un sketch donde se pelean por un camarón, dando inicio a una serie que haría historia en la cadena televisiva. El programa gira entorno a dos adolescente, uno es Drake Parker, un chico guapo, suertudo y con mucha suerte con las chicas, dándole bastante popularidad en su escuela; y está Josh Nichols, un chico algo torpe, amante de los videojuegos y bastante inteligente, lo cual lo hace un nerd en la escuela. La vida de estos chicos se juntan cuando el padre de Josh y la madre de Drake se casan, convirtiéndolos en hermanastros. Al principio la convivencia no es nada fácil, ya que estos chicos son bastante opuestos, Drake no quiere que lo vean con Josh ya que es un nerd, cosa que a este último lo pone triste pero a la vez le molesta la actitud soberbia de Drake, sin embargo, poco a poco se van agarrando cariño fraterno gracias a afrontar diversos problemas juntos, convirtiéndose en mejores amigos y llegando a considerarse hermanos, los cuales se necesitan para resolver sus predicamentos.
I hope many of you know this Nickelodeon classic, as I think it's the best teen comedy series out there. This show came out thanks to the Amanda Show, as Josh Peck and Drake Bell do a sketch where they fight over a shrimp, starting a seris that would make history in the television network. The show revolves around two teenagers, one is Drake Parker, a handsome boy, lucky and very lucky with girls, giving him a lot of popularity in his school; and there is Josh Nichols, a somewhat awkward boy, video game lover and quite intelligent, which makes him a nerd at school. These boys' lives come together when Josh's father and Drake's mother get married, making them step-siblings. At first the coexistence is not easy, as these boys are quite opposite, Drake does not want to be seen with Josh because he is a nerd, which makes the latter sad but at the same time is annoyed by the arrogant attitude of Drake, however, little by little they are grabbing brotherly affection thanks to face various problems together, becoming best friends and becoming brothers, which are needed to solve their predicaments.
Los problemas en los que se ven envueltos suelen ser culpa de la torpeza o imprudencia de ambos, aunque mayormente Drake es el que los ocasiona y Josh se ve involucrado por su gran mala suerte. Otro contratiempo que sufren constantemente es su hermana, Megan Parker, una niña sumamente inteligente y malvada, la cual siempre le hace bromas tortuosas a sus hermanos, pero nunca sufre las consecuencias ya que su inteligencia es tan grande que sus bromas no son captadas por sus padres, además de dar una cara angelical frente a ellos, son embargo a veces saca a sus hermanos de apuros demostrando su cariño hacia ellos, aunque igual les siga haciendo sus crueles bromas. La obsesión de Josh con Oprah es algo que todos los que hemos visto la serie guardamos en nuestra memoria con mucho humor, y la cantidad de veces que Drake cambia de novia es algo que todavía no entendemos como puede ser posible. Esta serie es increíble porque tiene muchísima comedia bien lograda y sus momentos de tensión no son forzados, lo cual hace que esta serie se catalogue como una de las mejores, finalizando cada episodio con ambos chicos gritando un "¡Ábrazame hermano!" para afianzar su lazo de hermandad. Definitivamente, amo esta serie.
The problems in which they get involved are usually the fault of the clumsiness or recklessness of both, although mostly Drake is the one who causes them and Josh is involved because of his great bad luck. Another setback they suffer constantly is his sister, Megan Parker, a highly intelligent and evil girl, which always makes torturous jokes to his brothers, but never suffers the consequences because his intelligence is so great that his jokes are not caught by their parents, besides giving an angelic face in front of them, however sometimes gets his brothers out of trouble by showing his affection for them, but still continue to make cruel jokes. Josh's obsession with Oprah is something that all of us who have seen the serie keep in our memories with a lot of humor, and the amount of times that Drake changes girlfriends is something that we still don't understand how it can be possible. This serie is amazing because it has a lot of well-done comedy and its moments of tension are not forced, which makes this serie rank as one of the best, ending each episode with both guys shouting a "Hug me bro!" to cement their bond of brotherhood. I definitely love this serie.
