This is my first post in this community, so I will give it my best to present a nice and interesting review about a movie that really surprised me in a very good way.

Esta es mi primera publicación para esta comunidad, asique intentaré hacer mi mejor esfuerzo para presentar de la mejor forma a una película que realmente me sorprendió para bien.
Klaus, a story about Santa Claus
Well, as we were all expecting: yes, Klaus is a movie about Santa Claus. It's not particularly related to Christmas festivities, but it's a nice film that talks about how the legend of the big bearded guy began.
It was a Netflix production and, unlike all the other things that they have released, it was very well commented by the critics. Amazing, right?
I was having second thoughts at first whether to see it or not, as I'm not a big fan of Christmas movies, but as I will tell you after this brief introduction, it's a film that's either interesting for children and adults... and I'm still smiling as I'm writing this.
Bueno, como todos esperábamos: sí, Klaus es una película sobre Santa Claus. No está particularmente relacionado con las festividades navideñas, pero es una buena película que habla de cómo comenzó la leyenda del gran barbudo.
Fue una producción de Netflix y, a diferencia de todas las demás cosas que han estrenado, estuvo muy bien comentada por la crítica. Increíble, ¿verdad?
Al principio estaba dudando si verla o no, ya que no soy un gran fanático de las películas navideñas, pero como les diré después de esta breve introducción, es una película que es interesante para niños y adultos... y todavía estoy sonriendo mientras escribo esto.
Klaus was released in 2019, produced by Sergio Pablos and has been nominated (and even won most of them) to several prizes. Not bad for a Netflix production!

Plot of the story
La película comienza mostrándonos un personaje muy particular: el hijo del Director General Real de Correos, Jesper Johansen. Su padre, después de verlo durante bastante tiempo holgazán y probablemente sin futuro, decide enviarlo al extranjero con una misión especial: Jesper debe entregar 6000 cartas en Smeerensburg en el plazo de un año. Si no tenía éxito, su padre cortaría sus recursos por completo, ¡qué lástima para un niño malcriado!

Smeerensburg was known as the place in which nothing interesting or happy happened. Or, even worse, as the characters in the movie would say: 'It's an island that's cut off from the world'. The first scenes we get to see about this place are completelly heartbreaking, Jesper suffering the cold temperatures, with no friends, trying to survive the hostile environment of that village and trying to deliver letters with no luck. There was no one that would write letters in that place, a very tricky challenge that his father had set him up.
Smeerensburg era conocido como el lugar en el que no sucedía nada interesante o feliz. O, peor aún, como dirían los personajes de la película: 'Es una isla aislada del mundo'. Las primeras escenas que vemos sobre este lugar son completamente desgarradoras, Jesper sufriendo las bajas temperaturas, sin amigos, tratando de sobrevivir al ambiente hostil de ese pueblo e intentando repartir cartas sin suerte. No había nadie que escribiera cartas en ese lugar, un desafío muy complicado que su padre le había planteado.
A very desperate and hopeless Jesper...Regardless of how difficult it was, he made his best attempt to encourage everyone to write and send letters, but with no success at all. In one of the visits he made to every single house in the village, he met a very strange bearded guy that scared the hell out of him and, due to the rush in which he left, Jesper dropped a sad drawing that one kid had lost by mistake.
As a consequence of this, the following day in which Jesper visited the bearded guy to see if he had any letter to be delivered, he hands him a package for the little kid that had dropped the drawing and, unfortunately for the postman, went with him to deliver it.
Independientemente de lo difícil que fue, hizo su mejor esfuerzo para alentar a todos a escribir y enviar cartas, pero sin éxito alguno. En una de las visitas que hizo a todas las casas del pueblo, se encontró con un tipo barbudo muy extraño que lo asustó muchísimo y, debido a la prisa con la que se fue, a Jesper se le cayó un dibujo triste que un niño había perdido. por error.

A couple of days went by after that and the kids started spreading the rumour about what had happened: if you sent the bearded guy a letter, you would recive a gift in return. Jesper realized that this was a very good opportunity for him to reach his goal and started encouraging all kids in town to write letters to be delivered. Kids not only were behaving properly and helping their parents, but also a lot of them started attending school so as to learn how to write... lovely, right?
Pasaron un par de días después de eso y los niños comenzaron a correr el rumor de lo que había sucedido: si le enviabas una carta al barbudo, recibirías un regalo a cambio. Jesper se dio cuenta de que esta era una muy buena oportunidad para alcanzar su meta y comenzó a animar a todos los niños del pueblo a escribir cartas para ser entregadas. As well as that, while Jesper was commiting to his goal and making Smeerensburg people happy, the two most powerful families of the village were planning a plot against him, as it wasn't useful for them to have a happy town. So, unfortunately for Jesper, things became a bit harder than they already were...
Además, mientras Jesper se comprometía con su objetivo y hacer feliz a la gente de Smeerensburg, las dos familias más poderosas del pueblo planeaban un complot en su contra, ya que no les servía de nada tener un pueblo feliz. Entonces, desafortunadamente para Jesper, las cosas se volvieron un poco más difíciles de lo que ya eran...
The rest is history, so as to avoid any sort of spoiler I might say... There are some incredibly nice moment about this movie and some sad ones too. It's not the typical child story that ends up in a complete perfect way, which made me like it even more.
El resto es historia, para evitar cualquier tipo de spoiler, podría decir... Hay algunos momentos increíblemente agradables en esta película y también algunos tristes. No es el típico cuento infantil que termina de una manera completamente perfecta, lo que hizo que me gustara aún más.
My thoughts of this movie
As I said before in the introduction, I wasn't really convinced about watching this movie... but turns out I was completelly wrong about it. Everything about this film seemed perfect to me and I would definitely watch it over and over again.
There were many things I loved about it. At first, I'd say that the characters were developed very nicely, as the film goes by you start to fall in love more and more with every single one of them. Drawings and animations are fantastic as well, they manage to represent in a great way the personality and particular aspects that make every character one of a kind.
There was something I particularly loved about this movie, and it was the way the shades and colours of everything changed as the plot developed. In the beginning, when Jesper was completelly hopeless and lost, all colours seemed to be really dark and opaque, there were almost no bright tones being shown. As things start to get better and Jesper himself starts feeling differently about Smeerensburg, light and vibrant colours come to life! I realized that after I had finished watching the movie and made me fall in love even harder than before.
Como dije antes en la introducción, no estaba muy convencido de ver esta película... pero resulta que estaba completamente equivocado al respecto. Todo sobre esta película me pareció perfecto y definitivamente la vería una y otra vez.
Había muchas cosas que me encantaban de él. Al principio, diría que los personajes se desarrollaron muy bien, a medida que avanza la película, comienzas a enamorarte cada vez más de cada uno de ellos. Los dibujos y las animaciones también son fantásticos, logran representar de gran manera la personalidad y los aspectos particulares que hacen único a cada personaje.
Había algo que me encantaba particularmente de esta película, y era la forma en que los matices y los colores de todo cambiaban a medida que se desarrollaba la trama. Al principio, cuando Jesper estaba completamente desesperanzado y perdido, todos los colores parecían ser realmente oscuros y opacos, casi no se mostraban tonos brillantes. A medida que las cosas comienzan a mejorar y el propio Jesper comienza a sentirse diferente acerca de Smeerensburg, ¡los colores claros y vibrantes cobran vida! Me di cuenta de eso después de que terminé de ver la película y me enamoré aún más que antes.
Although there are some sad parts in the plot, it's a story that gives you a very pleasant sensation once you finish watching it. It's not childish for an adult to get bored and there are some interesting jokes that make it really catchy.

Aunque hay algunas partes tristes en la trama, es una historia que te da una sensación muy agradable una vez que terminas de verla. No es infantil que un adulto se aburra y hay algunos chistes interesantes que lo hacen realmente pegadizo.
