He de decir que los primeros 30-40 minutos son preocupantes, ya que la historia parecía demasiado lineal y falto de emociones, un mal inicio; sin embargo, con el paso de los minutos la trama se va consolidando, mostrando más personajes, y problemas interesantes. Si bien hay comedia, debo decir que lo que funciona es el drama que se va armando.
I have to say that the first 30-40 minutes are worrying, as the story seemed too linear and lacking in emotions, a bad start; however, as the minutes go by the plot consolidates, showing more characters, and interesting problems. Although there is comedy, I must say that what works is the drama that is being built up.
Creo que para el inicio, mejor hubiera sido un resumen de los inicios de la pareja. La historia muestra lo que es la última gira, y como parece que la sociedad ha comenzado a olvidarlos. Por otro lado muestra los problemas de la pareja, y cómo intentan mantener una amistad más allá de lo profesional.
I think that for the beginning, a summary of the couple's beginnings would have been better. The story shows what the last tour is like, and how it seems that society has begun to forget them. On the other hand it shows the couple's problems, and how they try to maintain a friendship beyond the professional.
La actuación es resaltante, entre los que destacó están Steve Coogan como Stan, Shirley Henderson como Lucille y Rufus Jones como Bernard. Por el lado de producción, hay un buen trabajo en vestuario y escenarios, transportándonos a la época. Incluso es excelente el trabajo de selección de extras como público en los diversos auditorios.
The acting is outstanding, among the standouts are Steve Coogan as Stan, Shirley Henderson as Lucille and Rufus Jones as Bernard. On the production side, there is good work in costumes and sets, transporting us to the era. Even the selection of extras as the audience in the various auditoriums is excellent.
En general, me parece una buena película, aun cuando el comienzo me parece lento y predecible. Te lo recomiendo si te interesa saber más del famoso dúo.
