13 Ghosts es un film que me fascina mas allá de la historia principal que presenta, su poder esta en todo ese componente argumental que envuelve a los fantasmas y el como se van presentando visualmente, tiene un aura artística en el aspecto terror que gozo cuando cada uno de ellos hace acto de presencia.
Tiene la típica historia de salvar a la familia que son los personajes protagonistas pero es los fantasmas lo que mas encanta, recuerdo cuando la vi hace mas de dos décadas y aun hoy su historia en el aspecto fantasmas me enamora, quedo maravillado con toda la construcción argumental que tienen, unos tendrán mejor historia que otros pero esos que son potentes, de por sí ya serían toda otra película.
Sobre su trama principal destaco al personaje Dennis Rafkin interpretado por Mathew Lillard que hace reír mucho y es el elemento que sirve para poder entender que va sucediendo en el film ya que es psíquico y ve ese sufrimiento en los fantasmas.

About its main plot I highlight the character Dennis Rafkin played by Mathew Lillard that makes you laugh a lot and is the element that serves to understand what is happening in the film as it is psychic and sees the suffering in the ghosts.
Como me gustaría ver desarrollado este film como una serie para poder disfrutar del nacimiento de cada fantasma y se pudiera comprender todo el lore que se crea en torno a ellos porque es masivo, es todo un universo que se puede desarrollar y veo como punto negativo el hecho de que termine enfocándose en la típica historia de salvar a la familia en peligro teniendo un potencial enorme.
Hay cierta presentación pero digamos que se puede explorar mucho más de lo que se vio, tal vez seré solo yo pero vaya que me maravillo el film sobre todo por los nombres de cada fantasma, el libro donde se mencionan, toda la arquitectura, el uso del idioma latín es un plus enorme y me convence para poder contenerlos.
Los 13 fantasmas es un película que se lleva 7.5 chiquitos de diez por los fantasmas en esta parte de la review sin spoilers, el trabajo de vestuario y maquillaje en mi caso me impresiono en aquella época, todas sus historias son buenas como el de la princesa enojada, tiene una atmósfera medieval que no se termina de explotar pero le queda bien sobre todo por el aspecto infernal detrás del propósito para la existencia de estos Fantasmas.

Esta película si que quiero disfrutarla con spoilers porque en la zona sin spoilers me siento apresado como los fantasmas de este film que son una joya varios de ellos, el tono espiritual le sienta perfectamente a la película porque tiene sabor a tinieblas, se menciona una maquina que permite al usuario ver pasado, presente y futuro porque claro, tienes El Ojo del Diablo.
Ya solo eso atrae pero lo que termina de volver este film argumentalmente todo un universo es que para colocar a funcionar esa maquina se necesitan 13 Fantasmas que son personas reales que sufrieron tragedias y esa forma de morir tiene que estar relacionada con los conocimientos arquitectónicos de esa maquina.
Para poder darme entender hablare del fantasma que mas me gusto llamado La Princesa Enojada y este nombre viene porque así esta en los escritos del diseño de Ingeniería para la Maquina y este fantasma tiene que ser una mujer bastante atractiva que sufrió abusos y termine suicidándose por su locura y tristeza, detalles mas, detalles menos pero ya solo eso y quiero ver la historia de esa mujer.
De lo mejor en el film cuando la vi a ella toda marcada por cicatrices enormes de cuchillo que aun lleva en mano, claro está lo mas llamativo de ella es que esta desnuda y la actriz que la represento Shawna Loyer la cual tiene un físico voluptuoso mas una mirada con ojos muy oscuros, vacía y llena de muerte que me conquista.

Esto aplica a cada Fantasma, entonces claro unas historias son mejores que otras, en mi caso la que mas me agrado es esta, si viste el film cual fue el fantasma que mas te agrado, quisiera saber eso.
Esto no indica que otros fantasma se queden muy atrás, cuando escucho la palabra El Chacal, vaya que tiemblo porque si me transmite oscuridad, maldad, sed de sangre y es así, es uno de los fantasmas mas perturbados en vida y muerte, claro todo acompañado de una buena estética, la manera que se usa el enfoque de cámaras para resaltarlos, eso lo veo muy bien mientras hacen sus movimientos erráticos para impactar mas al espectador.
Un film entretenido cuya trama principal solo sirve para degustar la presentación de cada fantasma, a la final eso es lo que queremos ver y considero esta presente, como quisiera ver mas de ellos y toda esa historia medieval en latín que envuelve a los 13 fantasmas.
