Creo que la mayoría podemos decir que los Oscar de este año ha estado muy raros, pasaron cosas muy extrañas como que CODA haya ganado a mejor película y que Disney volvió a hacer de las suyas, Will Smith boxeador, Kirsten Dunst humillada, No se Habla de Bruno un poco vergonzoso y muchas otras cosas que nadie olvidará en mucho tiempo.
Pude ver la ceremonia el día lunes, pero el mismo sábado pude ver los memes con respecto a Will y mi primera impresión fue: está actuado para conseguir más público. La ceremonia está en grandes problemas referente a que cada vez menos personas están interesadas en los premios llegando el año pasado al pico más bajo con solo 10 millones de espectadores, por lo tanto, este año se optó por realizar algunos cambios: nuevas categorías que trajeron algo de polémica y que 8 categorías se dejaran fuera del aire para hacer más rápido la premiación.
Con respecto al tema de estas 8 categorías eliminadas no me parece la solución porque estos ganadores se merecen un mayor reconocimiento lo cual no se obtiene de esta manera, entonces se siente frustrante luchar por algo que ganaste y tu premiación fue eliminada. Por otra parte, las categorías por Twitter que no obtienen una estatuilla siento que está bien, sin quejas en ese aspecto.
Antes de hablar de lo malo, quisiera destacar lo bueno. La verdad es que los Óscar son muy predecibles, creo que todos sabíamos quienes iban a ganar:

I was able to watch the ceremony on Monday, but on Saturday I was able to see the memes regarding Will and my first impression was: he is acting to get more audience. The ceremony is in big trouble because less and less people are interested in the awards, reaching last year the lowest peak with only 10 million viewers, therefore, this year they decided to make some changes: new categories that brought some controversy and 8 categories were left off the air to make the awards faster.
Regarding the issue of these 8 eliminated categories, I do not think it is the solution because these winners deserve more recognition which is not obtained in this way, so it feels frustrating to fight for something you won and your award was eliminated. On the other hand, the Twitter categories that don't get a statuette I feel is fine, no complaints there.
Before I talk about the bad, I'd like to highlight the good. The truth is that the Oscars are very predictable, I think we all knew who was going to win:

- Best Direct to Jane Campion for The Power of the Dog, third time a woman wins in this category, I am very happy for her even though she had some controversies, but she deserves it, there was no doubt she would win.
- Best Original Song for No Time To Die by Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell, we know that No Talking About Bruno would have been the winner, but Disney went for Two Little Caterpillars even though it is a very nice song, what can you do, sometimes the simplest thing beats everything else (although for a moment I thought it would win).
- Best Supporting Actress for Ariana DeBose for West Side Story, fabulous and a great winner, Kirsten Dunst was my second favorite although it was obvious Ariana would win.
- Best Supporting Actor for Troy Kotsur, very nice actually, he had a lot of competition, but I'm glad he won, he is what I liked most about Coda by far and I'm glad they give this recognition to a deaf person, I hope to see him in other films.
- Best Long Documentary for Summer of Soul, I didn't see it, but it seems that the audience is happy with it.
- Best Short Film - Live Action for The Long Goodbye, I was able to see it and I liked it a lot, congratulations.
- Best Original Screenplay for Belfast, I haven't seen it, but the audience seems happy with the award, I hope to see it soon.
- Best Animated Short Film for The Windshield Wiper, I really liked it, I also had faith in Bestia, but I'm glad it will win.
- Best Documentary Short for The Queen of Basketball I didn't see it either, but the audience seems happy, so congratulations.
- Best Costume Design for Cruella, obviously she deserved it if that's what the movie is about, although I liked the nomination for The Gucci House because I liked it a lot and this together with Lady Gaga's performance, was what I liked about the movie.
Por otro lado, las presentaciones en vivo fueron muy bonitas (excepto la de No se Habla de Bruno), Sebastián Yatra temblaba muchísimo, pero lo hizo muy bien y fue muy bonito este momento en especial. También me gusto que los Óscar fueran un poco más incluyentes aunque lo hacen de una forma muy forzada, pero bueno, algo es algo.
Otro punto muy bueno fueron los presentadores (exceptuando las tres principales, luego hablaremos de ellas) fueron tres personas las que presentaban cada uno de los premios, fue muy bonito ver los protagonistas de varias películas muy importantes presentando los premios, por ejemplo, tenemos a Robert De Niro, Al Pacino y el director Francis Ford Coppola por sus 50 años de El Padrino; Jennifer Garner, Elliot Page y J.K. Simmons también estuvieron y ellos fueron los protagonistas de la gran película Juno; Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman y John Travolta también estuvieron en el escenario, ellos son parte de la película Pulp Fiction y Naomi Scott, Halle Bailey y Lily James (¡las princesas de Disney!).
Aunque también debo reconocer a los demás presentadores que estuvieron muy bien y fue muy bonitos verlos otra vez.

Aunque hubo momentos muy lindos y que de verdad me hicieron sentir bien, es hora de ver lo malo. Desde hace mucho tiempo, los Óscar han tratado de unirse a la comedia que antes si era graciosa, pero que ahora muchas veces se pasan. A mí me gusta mucho el humor negro, pero estoy consciente que no es un humor para todo el mundo y debes saber con quién hacerlo. Los presentadores son personas que se burlan de los actores, lo cual lo veo bien, pero hay personas que no toleran estos chistes por una u otra razón.

Tenemos un ejemplo, Leonardo DiCaprio que en 2016 recibió una broma que si puede ser de muy mal gusto, se trata de que el comediante Ricky Gervais llama a Leo pedófilo, burlándose de que el actor siempre tiene novias menores que él (aunque mayores de edad). Este chiste fue criticado, pero a Leo pareció darle gracia.
En este caso, tenemos a Chris Rock haciéndole una broma a Jada Pinkett Smith por su alopecia y siendo sincera, fue una broma muy estúpida, no creo que fuese para tanto porque la comparó con el personaje de teniente O'Neil 2 y además de estar rapada, el personaje es una mujer empoderada, por lo que, realmente siento que si se quería burlar de verdad, la comparará con otro personaje calvo y mucho peor.

Aunque entiendo la actitud de Will porque todos hemos llegado a este punto en donde explotamos y no actuamos de la mejor manera.
Existen muchas teorías, si estaba todo planeado, si Will lo hizo para impresionar a Jada, quien sabe. Por otro lado, el chiste que de verdad si se paso fue la broma de Amy Schumer a Kirsten Dunst llamándola “rellena-asientos” después de que Kirsten perdiera en su nominación. Este chiste para mí si fue más fuerte porque de una le dice que no vale nada y aunque luego Amy confesará que estaba todo planificado con Kirsten, la verdad es que la cara de ella y de su esposo se les veía muy incomodos.
Otra cosa mala fue las tres presentadoras principales Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer y Regina Hall, la verdad es que ellas no me gustaron por sus bromas y porque hacían cosas muy incomodas, por ejemplo, Amy se burla de Kirsten, Regina manosea a Jason Momoa y Josh Brolin en pleno escenario y Wanda que se la pasaba morboseandose a los demás actores. La verdad es que sus bromas fueron muy malas y llegaban a ser muy incomodas.

On the other hand, the joke that really went over the top was Amy Schumer's joke to Kirsten Dunst calling her a "seat-filler" after Kirsten lost her nomination. This joke for me was stronger because she told her that she was worthless and although Amy later confessed that it was all planned with Kirsten, the truth is that her and her husband's face looked very uncomfortable.
Another bad thing was the three main presenters Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall, the truth is that I did not like them because of their jokes and because they did very uncomfortable things, for example, Amy makes fun of Kirsten, Regina groped Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin on stage and Wanda who spent her time teasing the other actors. The truth is that their jokes were very bad and became very uncomfortable.
Otra cosa que para mí fue mala, fue la canción de No se Habla de Bruno, al principio iba muy bien con los actores originales, pero la cosa cambio en media presentación, cambiando la canción, cosa que para muchos les puede gustar, pero me sonó muy raro con Luis Fonsi, Becky G y Meghan The Stallion.
Por otra parte tenemos a las premiaciones, Encanto ganó, no me sorprende aunque debemos dejar en claro que Encanto no se la merecía, Disney tienen muchos premios y muy buenas películas, pero algunas veces han ganado sin merecerlo y está fue una de esas veces. Encanto es una película linda y entretenida, pero no supera a La Familia Mitchell vs. Las Máquinas jamás y nunca.
Por otro lado, Will se ganó en Óscar, no sabemos si le pasará algo a Will por el golpe, pero hasta ahora, el Óscar lo tiene. Pude ver la película Rey Richard y aunque me gustó, tiene todas las características para ser la ganadora del Óscar, pero está claro que no se merece el Óscar porque aunque la historia es linda, no tiene muchas cosas que la hagan destacar y aunque Will Smith hace un buen trabajo, creo que no es su mejor actuación, me recordó mucho a la película En Busca de la Felicidad y por lo tanto, siento que no se merecía en Óscar en está ocasión.
Another thing that was bad for me, was the song of No se Habla de Bruno, at the beginning it was going very well with the original actors, but the thing changed in the middle of the presentation, changing the song, which many may like, but it sounded very strange to me with Luis Fonsi, Becky G and Meghan The Stallion.

On the other hand, Will earned his Oscar, we don't know if anything will happen to Will because of the bump, but so far, the Oscar has him. I was able to see the movie King Richard and although I liked it, it has all the characteristics to be the Oscar winner, but it is clear that it does not deserve the Oscar because although the story is cute, it does not have many things that make it stand out and although Will Smith does a good job, I think it is not his best performance, it reminded me a lot of the movie In Search of Happiness and therefore, I feel it did not deserve the Oscar this time.
Pasó algo igual a lo de Leonardo, se merecían el Óscar desde hace tiempo y se lo dan en una película que no tuvieron la mejor de las actuaciones, aunque estoy feliz por Will, siento que el premio debió ser para Andrew Garfield o Benedict Cumberbatch que tuvieron excelentes actuaciones y se lucieron al máximo.
Por otro lado, tenemos a la mejor película, siento que acá CODA no tuvo que ganar, es una película muy bonita de esas que ves y terminas feliz, pero aunque me gustó, siento que no destaca, no tiene una canción que destaca y su dirección y fotografía son convencionales, en fin, no trae algo diferente ni viene la revolucionar el cine. Eso es algo que últimamente hacen los Óscar, se van más por el sentimiento que una película pueda causar, que otros factores y para mí, eso hace que muchas otras películas mucho más innovadoras se queden por fuera.
En conclusión, los Óscar como siempre, nos confunden bastante, pasarón momentos muy lindos, pero pasaron otros que no fueron muy agradables, por lo que, esta edición no fue ni por lejos la mejor, pero los momentos lindos los recordaré como una gran experiencia.
