¡Hola, Hivers! En esta oportunidad les traigo una producción rusa de terror, drama, suspenso, romance y fantasía de este año cuyo título original es Pivorot. Chernoe venchanie. Aquí podremos aprender, por si a alguien no le ha quedado claro todavía, que el amor si no es real y sincero, no se puede obtener a la fuerza.

Dark Spell, del director ruso Svyatoslav Podgayevskiy, es una de las pocas películas foráneas que he visto. Esta es una producción rusa de terror y drama en la cual veremos como Zhenya, una joven madre despechada (interpretada por la hermosa Yana Yenzhayeva) porque su amor la abandonó, busca ayuda para que él la vuelva a amar y volver a ser una familia. Kirill, un joven artista plástico que busca inspiración en las diferentes mujeres con las que ha estado, no se imagina lo que está dispuesta a hacer Zhenya para volver a llevarlo a su lado.
Dark Spell, by Russian director Svyatoslav Podgayevskiy, is one of the few foreign films I have seen. This is a Russian production of horror and drama in which we will see how Zhenya, a young mother scorned (played by the beautiful Yana Yenzhayeva) because her love left her, seeks help so that he can love her and become a family again. Kirill, a young plastic artist who seeks inspiration from the different women he has been with, cannot imagine what Zhenya is willing to do to bring him back to her side.

La película dura 1 hora y 32 minutos donde tendremos desde los clásicos "screamers" hasta momentos de mucha tensión por el suspenso que se vive, algunas escenas con sangre, y primeros planos del hermoso rostro de la protagonista. Trataré de no convertir esta reseña en un post de apreciación a la belleza de Yana, pero no prometo nada.
The film lasts 1 hour and 32 minutes where we will have from the classic "screamers" to moments of great tension due to the suspense that exists, some scenes with blood, and close-ups of the beautiful face of the protagonist. I'll try not to turn this review into a Yana beauty appreciation post, but I don't promise anything.

🗣 Opiniones/Opinions 🗣
Bien, en cuanto a la trama, es bastante sencilla de entender y muy adecuada para una peli de horror. Una mujer joven y hermosa, madre de una bebé, se separa de su pareja aún amándolo, porque él así lo quiso y seguramente porque tiene al menos un par de amantes. Negada a perder el amor de Kirill, Zhenya recurre a una bruja quien le da un hechizo llamado "Boda Negra" y así volverán a estar juntos. La señora le da un par de indicaciones y le recalca lo que podría salir mal en caso de que no haga las cosas como debe, así que desde ese punto ya sabremos lo que pasará. Tremendo spoiler nos manda la señora.
Well, plot-wise, it's pretty straightforward to understand and well suited for a horror movie. A young and beautiful woman, mother of a baby, separates from her partner still loving him, because he wanted it that way and surely because he has at least one pair of lovers. Refusing to lose Kirill's love, Zhenya turns to a witch who gives her a spell called "Black Wedding" and they will be together again. The lady gives her a couple of indications and emphasizes what could go wrong if she does not do things as he should, so from that point we will know what will happen. Tremendous spoiler gives us the lady.

La película tiene buen horror, no llega a ser absurdo y mientras la veía me recorrieron un par de escalofríos a través de la columna. Hay mucho drama y suspenso, eso sí, y la tensión se mantiene bastante bien en la película sin llegar a aburrir o a ser repetitiva. El título también le va bien a la película (el inglés) porque justamente Zhenya realiza un hechizo oscuro e invoca una entidad para que su amor regrese a ella.
The movie has good horror, it doesn't get to be absurd and as I watched it a couple of chills ran through my spine. There is a lot of drama and suspense, yes, and the tension stays quite well in the film without getting boring or repetitive. The title also suits the film (english) because precisely Zhenya performs a dark spell and invokes an entity so that her love returns to her.

El trabajo audiovisual es muy bueno, al igual que el de ambientación. Vemos situaciones oscuras y dramáticas muy bien ambientadas y bien acompañadas por los típicos sonidos de película de terror. Muchas buenas tomas en momentos claves y por supuesto, los camarógrafos se dieron vida tomando planos desde diferentes ángulos de Zhenya.
The audiovisual work is very good, as is the setting. We see dark and dramatic situations very well set and well accompanied by the typical horror movie sounds. Lots of good shots at key moments and of course the cameramen came to life taking shots from different angles of Zhenya.

La película es bien entretenida, vale la pena verla y genera lo que busca, mostrarnos drama y un poco de horror, además de una historia bien escrita y desarrollada.
The film is well entertaining, worth watching and generates what you are looking for, showing us drama and a bit of horror, as well as a well written and developed story.

🗣 Comentarios finales/Final comments 🗣
Muy buena película para los amantes del cine de horror, aunque no es un horror muy marcado como quizás ofrece "El Conjuro", pero es de igual manera entretenida y atractiva. Amor obsesivo, posesivo y dañino veremos tanto por parte de Zhenya como de Kirill, quienes por momentos pierden la cabeza y toman decisiones muy precipitadas y alocadas que no terminan nada bien.
A very good film for lovers of horror movies, although it is not a very marked horror as "The Conjuring" perhaps offers, but it is equally entertaining and attractive. Obsessive, possessive and harmful love we will see from both Zhenya and Kirill, who at times lose their minds and make very hasty and crazy decisions that do not end well at all.

Como aprendizaje podemos extraer que el amor no puede ser forzado u obligado, se siente o no. Enfrascarse en el dolor de la pérdida de un amor hace que tomemos decisiones cuestionables y más aún si se llegan a usar recursos reprochables como la magia oscura, ya que hemos aprendido de las películas de horror que nunca sale algo bueno de ahí. As learning we can extract that love cannot be forced, whether it is felt or not. Focusing on the pain of the loss of love causes us to make questionable decisions and even more so if reprehensible resources such as dark magic are used, since we have learned from horror movies that nothing good ever comes out of there.
