South Park es una de las series de televisión americanas para adultos más icónicas de la historia, junto a Los Simpsons, Futurama y Family Guy. El humor negro, violencia, parodias y situaciones un alocadas en las que se ven envueltas lo cuatro niños que la protagonizan: Stan, Kyle, Cartmann y Kenny, le da un atractivo singular. En este caso, la plataforma de streaming Paramount+ nos trae South Park: Post Covid, dirigida por el creador de la serie, Trey Parker.

Estrenada a inicios de diciembre del 2021, nos muestra como en el pueblo ficticio South Park la pandemia del Covid realizó estragos y, en el 2021 con la llegada de las vacunas, los cuatro protagonistas creen que todo volverá a normalizarse poco a poco. 16 años después, nuevas variantes del virus siguen apareciendo y ya adultos, buscan una solución al problema que azota South Park.
Los ya adultos Stan, Kyle, Cartmann y Kenny han sufrido muchos cambios a través de los años, ya no son los mismos que antes, en especial Cartmann. Se hace rabino, se casa y tiene dos hijos, pero su cambio más radical fue en su forma de comunicación ya que este era el niño más soez de los cuatro, y de adulto casi no dice groserías. Tampoco se burla de los demás y otros cambios que seguro generarán un choque al espectador.
The grown-ups Stan, Kyle, Cartmann and Kenny have undergone many changes over the years, they are no longer the same as before, especially Cartmann. He becomes a rabbi, gets married and has two children, but his most radical change was in the way he communicates, since this was the most vile child of the four, and as an adult he hardly said rude words. Nor does it make fun of others and other changes that will surely generate a shock to the viewer.

Como de costumbre, South Park trata sobre un tema muy actual como es la pandemia del Covid, fieles a su estilo de parodias y sátiras a la orden del día. Hacen burlas de las personas que usan el tapabocas mal, los que no mantienen la distancia social y un sin fin de situaciones más. Por ejemplo, los tapabocas mal usados en el mentón los llaman "pañales para la barbilla".
As usual, South Park deals with a very current topic such as the Covid pandemic, true to its style of parodies and satires on the order of the day. They make fun of people who wear the wrong mask, those who do not maintain social distance and endless other situations. For example, badly worn masks on the chin are called "chin diapers."
El desarrollo que nos muestran de los personajes principales está muy bien logrado, ya que se puede reconocer fácilmente quién es quién sin hacer mucho esfuerzo. Los colores de la ropa siendo adultos es similar a cuando eran niños, cada vez que se juntaban, se ordenaban del mismo modo que lo hacían de niños, y hasta actitudinalmente eran similares a sus versiones jóvenes, menos el rabino Eric Cartmann.
The development that shows us the main characters is very well achieved, since you can easily recognize who is who without making a lot of effort. The colors of the clothes as adults are similar to when they were children, each time they got together, they were ordered in the same way they did as children, and even attitudinally they were similar to their young versions, except for Rabbi Eric Cartmann.
Otro tema muy de moda que toca la serie es de los NFTs (non fungible tokens o activos no tangibles), siendo uno de los personajes secundarios pero con cierta relevancia, quien aparece bajo el pseudónimo de Victor Chaos, quien realiza más énfasis en este tema siendo un hábil exponente de los NFT prometiendo fortunas a los que entren al mundo crypto.

La película no es larga, dura poco más de una hora, y en todo ese tiempo me reí un montón de veces porque hay chistes y situaciones muy muy graciosas, casi absurdas, pero esta es la escencia del show. Entretenida, bastante. No perderán su tiempo y si son fieles seguidores de la serie, la película les gustará bastante.
The movie is not long, it lasts just over an hour, and in all that time I laughed a lot of times because there are jokes and situations that are very, very funny, almost absurd, but this is the essence of the show. Entertaining, quite. They will not waste their time and if they are loyal fans of the series, they will like the movie quite a bit.
Admito que yo no he visto mucho de South Park, pero sí vi algunos capítulos cuando era transmitido por el canal americano MTV y de verdad que me gustaba bastante por el humor oscuro que maneja y las parodias sin censura de artistas famosos. Aquí no vemos ningún cameo importante de algún artista reconocido, pero creo que no lo necesitaba, ya que se enfoca 100% en cómo buscan resolver el tema del Covid y además, si South Park está confinada en aislamiento, ¿cómo iban a entrar personas foráneas al pueblo?
I admit that I have not seen much of South Park, but I did see some episodes when it was broadcast on the American channel MTV and I really liked it a lot for the dark humor it handles and the uncensored parodies of famous artists. Here we do not see any important cameo from a recognized artist, but I think he did not need it, since it focuses 100% on how they seek to solve the Covid issue and also, if South Park is confined to isolation, how would foreign people enter to town?
