Un saludo cordial a toda la comunidad Cinéfila espero que estén muy bien y apunto de disfrutar de una buena película o serie que los mantenga pegados al sofá de aquí al amanecer. Hace unos días les mencione que estaré viendo algunas películas de un par de directores de los cuales deseo conocer su filmografía y de esa forma ir aumentando mi conocimiento Cinematográfico con películas o directores que jamás estuvieron en mi radar, pero que son esenciales para un mayor conocimiento y estilos que harán de mí un mejor ante del séptimo arte ya que no me considero un Cinéfilo siento que para ello me hace un enorme camino y mucho más conocimiento.

Como no de todo lo que se vea se puede hacer reseña ya que se le pierde el gusto he tomado el camino pausado de escoger cuidadosamente qué películas reseñar y esperar que con el tiempo mi estilo y conocimiento mejoren ya que no soy un buen escritor, pero hago mi mayor esfuerzo y espero que se a de su agrado.

Escogí una película dirigida por (Olivia Wilde) de quien desconocía esta faceta como directora, pero que debo decirles que me ha sorprendido gratamente con su dominio y talento para llevar una película que se desenvuelve en una atmósfera conocida por millones de espectadores y que de seguro nos toparemos con algo distinto a lo acostumbrado.

🎬 HOW MANY TIMES WE CAN LIVE WHAT ADOLESCENCE RULES US AND IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPEAT THAT TIME IN YOUR LIFE WOULD YOU BE THE SAME OR WOULD YOU EAT THE WORLD WITHOUT HESITATION?.

A warm greeting to all the Cinephile community and I hope you are well and about to enjoy a good movie or series that will keep you glued to the couch from now until dawn. A few days ago I mentioned that I will be watching some films of a couple of directors of which I want to know their filmography and thus increase my Cinematographic knowledge with films or directors that were never on my radar, but that are essential for a better knowledge and styles that will make me a better ante of the seventh art since I do not consider myself a Cinephile I feel that for that I have a long way to go and much more knowledge.

As not everything you see can be reviewed because you lose the taste I have taken the slow path of choosing carefully what movies to review and hope that over time my style and knowledge will improve as I am not a good writer, but I do my best and I hope you like it.

I chose a film directed by (Olivia Wilde) of whom I did not know this facet as a director, but I must tell you that she has pleasantly surprised me with her mastery and talent to carry a film that unfolds in an atmosphere known by millions of viewers and that for sure we will find something different from the usual.

Tengo 31 años y vengo de una época donde películas como Superbad, Easy A y Scott Pilgrim vs. the World eran perfectas dónde el hecho de que interpretarán a adolescentes pasando por etapas de la pubertad y enamoramiento no evitarían que disfrutará de ellas ya que eran otro estilo totalmente diferente al que vemos actualmente dentro del género donde los clichés eran inexistentes y nada era una copia grosera de otra película mantenían un estilo y esencia únicas. Los años pasan y las ideas parecen que se estancan y es donde nos topamos con películas que nos muestran más de lo mismo donde ser predecible es el pan de cada día y solo el romance parece ser el único importante en la historia y bueno no lo critico a muerte ya que entiendo que es algo que sigue vendiendo aún más para las nuevas generaciones que son los que consumen este tipo de películas.

Siendo un amante de las películas y el deseo de ver de todo un poco es mi pecado no poder atacar todo lo que no funciona ya que no todo es para todo tipo de público y cada uno tiene su nicho. Teniendo esto en cuenta tengo que compartir con todos ustedes que esta película de la cual hablaremos hoy es de las mejores que he visto dentro del género y que sin duda dejará en todos ustedes un gran sabor de boca.

🎬 I am 31 years old and I come from a time where movies like Superbad, Easy A and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World were perfect where the fact that they played teenagers going through stages of puberty and falling in love would not prevent me from enjoying them as they were another style totally different from what we see today within the genre where clichés were non-existent and nothing was a gross copy of another movie and they maintained a unique style and essence. Years go by and ideas seem to stagnate and that is where we come across movies that show us more of the same where being predictable is the bread and butter and only romance seems to be the only important part of the story and well I am not criticizing it to death as I understand that it is something that keeps selling even more for the new generations who are the ones that consume this type of movies.

Being a lover of movies and the desire to see a little bit of everything it is my sin not to be able to attack everything that does not work since not everything is for all types of audiences and each one has its niche. With this in mind I have to share with all of you that this film we will talk about today is one of the best I have seen in the genre and will undoubtedly leave you all with a great taste in your mouths.

La noche de las nerds una película del año 2019 protagonizada por (Kaitlyn Dever) y (Beanie Feldstein) donde conoceremos la historia de dos adolescentes Amy y Molly que desean que el año escolar termine para demostrar al mundo que su dedicación y horas de estudio han valido la pena y no quemaron tiempo innecesarios en actividades que no aportan valor más allá del entretenimiento casual.

Nerd Night a 2019 film starring (Kaitlyn Dever) and (Beanie Feldstein) where we will learn the story of two teenagers Amy and Molly who want the school year to end to prove to the world that their dedication and hours of studying have paid off and they didn't burn unnecessary time on activities that don't add value beyond casual entertainment.

Lo que no imaginaba es que la vida les enseñará que no todo tiene que ser perfecto y que cada minuto de vida viene acompañado de momentos únicos que si lo dejas pasar puedes lamentarlo el resto de tu vida. El humor fresco, personajes pintorescos, un amor inesperado y la idea de un día genial serán protagonistas de una de las películas de adolescentes mejor logradas y que sin duda te dejará fascinado.

🎬 What I did not imagine is that life will teach them that not everything has to be perfect and that every minute of life comes with unique moments that if you let it pass you may regret it for the rest of your life. Fresh humor, colorful characters, an unexpected love and the idea of a great day will be the protagonists of one of the best teen movies that will undoubtedly leave you fascinated.

Debo confesar que no soy muy amante o seguidor de este tipo de películas que mezclan adolescentes con algo de comedia, música y en ocasiones drama, aún más cuando la historia no parece nada original y llena de tantos Clichés que la verdad le quitan el encanto y es que de hace unos años he notado que se sujetan al mismo estilo y no se arriesgan a mostrar algo diferente. Como lo mencionó al inicio vengo de otra época y las películas bajo este genero o estilo se manejan de otra forma para mi eran geniales y nada repetitivas eso me daba el chance de disfrutar aún más de cada historia, pero los tiempos pasan uno ya se hace mayor y los gustos cambian y las películas más actuales mantienen el mismo estilo y eso en ocasiones no es de gran ayuda las vuelve predecibles y del montón.

Eso si no todas son cortadas con la misma tijera y en ocasiones muy especiales una que otra película sobre adolescentes parecen que dan un giro de 360 grados y logran captar la atención del público de forma positiva y sin duda La noche de las nerds lo hace de inicio a fin con una historia fresca, pero que no se aleja de algunos Clichés clásicos del género y es algo inevitable es parte del ADN del género y esto ocurrirá por muchos años. Lo que hace diferente a esta película es que tocan un tema interesante y que quizás algunos de nosotros volvamos a revivir y es esa época del colegio donde parece que las cosas tenían que ir hacia una sola dirección y quizás hayamos perdido mucho tiempo y dejáramos de disfrutar de la vida.

Cada uno vivió una época distinta a lo que quizás otros estén viviendo en este momento y quizás fuimos de ese grupo que vio pasar cosas geniales frente a sus ojos y nunca probó lo único de esa época donde podíamos cometer errores y aprender de ello al mismo tiempo.

I must confess that I am not very fond or follower of this kind of movies that mix teenagers with some comedy, music and sometimes drama, even more when the story does not seem original and full of so many Clichés that really take away the charm and is that for a few years I have noticed that they hold to the same style and do not risk to show something different. As I mentioned at the beginning I come from another era and the movies under this genre or style are handled in another way for me they were great and nothing repetitive that gave me the chance to enjoy even more of each story, but times go by and one gets older and tastes change and the most current movies keep the same style and that sometimes is not a great help and makes them predictable and the pile.

But not all of them are cut with the same scissors and on very special occasions a movie about teenagers seems to take a 360 degree turn and manage to capture the audience's attention in a positive way and without a doubt Night of the Nerds does it from beginning to end with a fresh story, but that does not move away from some clichés of the classic genre and it is something inevitable, it is part of the DNA of the genre and this will happen for many years to come. What makes this movie different is that they touch on an interesting subject and one that maybe some of us will relive again and that is that time in high school where it seems like things had to go one way and maybe we wasted a lot of time and stopped enjoying life.

Each one of us lived a different time from what others may be living right now and maybe we were one of that group that saw great things happen in front of our eyes and never tasted the unique thing about that time where we could make mistakes and learn from it at the same time.

Me gusto como supieron abordar ese momento tan único en la vida de cada adolescente y dejar de lado este falso estereotipo de que si eres el más aplicado en clases ya de por sí debes ser considerado el más inteligente y si eres rebelde e independiente eres un rebelde sin causa y el fracaso será tu único destino, esto lo vemos en tantas películas y series que da miedo pensar que durante mi época de adolescente esto se vivía en aulas de clases y que al finalizar tu etapa como estudiante la realidad de muchos no era la misma sin importar quienes fuimos en esa época.

Dentro de la película maneja también estas situaciones que va de la mano con esa aventura de dos chicas que desean darse esa oportunidad y que nunca es tarde para disfrutar de la vida, pero que sí entienden que cada momento es perfecto para algo en especial no se puede vivir de fiesta de por vida, pero tampoco como un santo hasta la muerte. Esto lo manejan muy bien ya que no intentan mostrar lo que ya hemos visto como por ejemplo en Super cool que es ir de fiesta en fiesta hasta llegar a la correcta, pero en el proceso pasar por locas situaciones que logran muy bien, pero aquí nos dan otra perspectiva digamos que original ya que se topan con otros personajes que están viviendo su fiesta a su estilo sin preocupaciones de que sea la última noche de locura en sus vidas ya que han vivido muchas de esas aventuras y nuestras protagonistas no y se les hace difícil entender que es lo que realmente están buscando.

¿Cómo fue tu adolescencia?, ¿Qué tanto dejaste pasar oportunidades? ¿el día te arrepientes de no haber hecho algo que marcará un antes y un después en tu vida?.

Es la primera película que veo de la directora (Olivia Wilde) más allá de su participación en Dr. House no conocía su trabajo como directora y tengo fe en que si veo otra de sus películas queda encantado con su trabajo. No existe ninguna intención de que esté apuntando a mostrar más de lo mismo y esta película lo demuestra.

🥃🎬 ACTORES Y SUS PERSONAJES

Tengo que mencionar la importancia de cada personaje dentro de la película y es que cada uno de ellos es un detonador perfecto para darle pie a tantas situaciones que solo enfocarse en sus protagonistas sería una falta de respeto para aquellos que de verdad también merecen atención.

Para mi el personaje de Jared (Skyler Gisondo) merecía más tiempo en pantalla y es que su personaje es por mucho el que entiende lo que quiere en la vida, pero se topa con un enorme problema que es su inseguridad y el no mostrarse tal y como es por ese falso sentimiento de que si no eres lo suficientemente escandaloso no captará la atención de los demás y aquí es donde muchos jóvenes se pierden. No es necesario ser un faro de luz para brillar mientras seas como eres la luz siempre estará en ti. Lastimas que no desarrollaron más ese personaje ya que estoy seguro que hubiera encanto a muchos.

🎬 I liked how they knew how to address that unique moment in the life of every teenager and leave aside this false stereotype that if you are the most applied in class you must be considered the most intelligent and if you are rebellious and independent you are a rebel without a cause and failure will be your only destiny, we see this in so many movies and series that it is scary to think that during my time as a teenager this was lived in classrooms and that at the end of your time as a student the reality of many was not the same no matter who we were at that time.

Within the film also handles these situations that goes hand in hand with the adventure of two girls who want to give themselves that opportunity and that it is never too late to enjoy life, but they do understand that every moment is perfect for something special, you can't live like a party for life, but not like a saint until death. This is handled very well as they do not try to show what we have already seen as for example in Super cool which is to go from party to party until you get to the right one, but in the process go through crazy situations that they achieve very well, but here they give us another perspective let's say original as they come across other characters who are living their party in their style without worries that it is the last night of madness in their lives as they have lived many of those adventures and our protagonists have not and it is difficult for them to understand what they are really looking for.

What was your adolescence like, how much did you pass up opportunities, the day you regret not having done something that will mark a before and after in your life?

This is the first film I've seen of the director (Olivia Wilde) beyond her participation in Dr. House I didn't know her work as a director and I have faith that if I see another of her films I will be delighted with her work. There is no intention that she is aiming to show more of the same and this film proves it.

ACTORS AND THEIR CHARACTERS.

I have to mention the importance of each character in the film and each one of them is a perfect trigger to give rise to so many situations that only focusing on the main characters would be disrespectful to those who really deserve attention.

For me the character of Jared (Skyler Gisondo) deserved more screen time and his character is by far the one who understands what he wants in life, but he runs into a huge problem which is his insecurity and not showing himself as he is because of that false feeling that if you are not outrageous enough you will not capture the attention of others and this is where many young people get lost. You don't need to be a beacon of light to shine as long as you are who you are the light will always be in you. Too bad they didn't develop that character more as I'm sure it would have charmed many.

Obviamente no dejaré a las ́protagonistas ya que cada una tiene su estilo y me gustaría mencionar que (Beanie Feldstein) quien le da vida al personaje de Molly lo hace brutal y es que se nota que aprendió mucho de su hermano (Jonah Hill) es difícil no darse cuenta de que usa a algunos gestos particulares de su hermano, pero mantiene una distancia en los estilos y es que ella sabe manejar el humor de forma natural y sacar un chiste de la nada no lo hace cualquiera. Hablando de su personaje siento que le da mucho valor a la película no escapa de ser imperfecto ya que como todo adolescente que prepara su futuro desde que tiene la capacidad de tomar decisiones por su cuenta también comete errores en no darse la oportunidad de entender que la vida es mucho más que tener absoluto control sobre todo ya que de eso no trata la vida y menos cuando se es tan joven.

Por último tenemos a la actriz (Kaitlyn Dever) quien le da vida Amy esta chica representa a quienes no dejan morir a sus amigos, pero dejan de lado tantas cosas por miedo a desilusionar a los que están a su alrededor sean sus padres o amigos se enfoca en los demás y deja pasar infinidad de oportunidades y momentos únicos en cualquier adolescente.

Cada personaje tiene su importancia, échale un vistazo y no dejes que ninguno pasase por debajo de la mesa.

🥃🎬 ¿LA RECOMIENDO?

Si te gusta el género y quieres pasar un momento en familia con una buena historia y un mensaje que te inspire y que deje en los más jóvenes una idea de lo que es vivir sin obstáculos puede que esta película sea una buena opción. Recordando que cada uno vive y digiere la vida de formas distintas y que para todo existe un tiempo perfecto solo no dejemos de vivir sin importar la edad que tengamos.

🎬 Obviously, I won't leave out the main characters since each one has her own style and I would like to mention that (Beanie Feldstein) who gives life to the character of Molly does it brutally and you can tell that she learned a lot from her brother (Jonah Hill) it is difficult not to notice that she uses some particular gestures of her brother, but she keeps a distance in the styles and she knows how to handle humor in a natural way and to get a joke out of nothing is not something that just anyone can do. Talking about her character, I feel that she gives a lot of value to the film, she doesn't escape from being imperfect because like every teenager who prepares his future since he has the ability to make decisions on his own, she also makes mistakes in not giving herself the opportunity to understand that life is much more than having absolute control over everything, because that's not what life is all about, especially when you are so young.

Lastly we have the actress (Kaitlyn Dever) who gives life to Amy this girl represents those who do not let their friends die, but leave aside so many things for fear of disappointing those around them be it their parents or friends she focuses on others and passes up countless opportunities and unique moments in any teenager.

Each character has their importance, take a look and don't let any of them go under the table.

DO I RECOMMEND IT?

If you like the genre and want to spend a family moment with a good story and a message that inspires you and leaves in the youngest an idea of what it is to live without obstacles, this film may be a good choice. Remembering that everyone lives and digests life in different ways and that there is a perfect time for everything, let's just not stop living no matter how old we are.

• Algunas escenas no tienen contexto suficiente para dar pie a una situación o que funcione para explicar X o Y momento ya que la película de por si te deja claro muchas cosas y solo que tengas 5 años para que te lo expliquen.

• Personajes innecesarios y llenos de clichés (fácilmente lo pudieron omitir) es un pequeño fallo dentro de una película que tiene un buen desarrollo.

• Some scenes do not have enough context to give rise to a situation or that works to explain X or Y moment since the film itself makes clear to you many things and you only have 5 years to have it explained to you.

• Unnecessary characters and full of clichés (they could have easily omitted it) is a small flaw in a movie that has a good development.

LO BUENO

• Maneja perfectamente el tema sobre las preferencias sexuales de cada personaje sin usar de apoyo la personalidad de cada uno. Algo que me fascino ya que el actuar de una manera no te hace igual o diferente al resto de los demás solo tú mismo.

• El ritmo, la música, el humor están cronometrados de inicio a fin no existe nada fuera de lugar que te haga perder la atención.

🎬 THE GOOD THING

• It handles perfectly the theme about the sexual preferences of each character without using as support the personality of each one. Something that fascinated me since acting one way doesn't make you the same or different from the rest, just yourself.

• The rhythm, the music, the humor are timed from start to finish there is nothing out of place that makes you lose your attention.
