Today I want to tell you guys about a series that I have been following for a while now. It's called Zatima. Most people who know the name Fatima will understand that they name has been forged. Zatima is a combination of Zack and Fatima. So there you go, we have the meaning of Zatima.

Zatima is a movie which is written by Tyler Perry; the writer who wrote and directed Tyler Perry’s Sisters. Tyler is the director of this one too. Zatima is a movie which throws the spotlight on 2 young black Americans; Zac and Fatima in a relationship. This relationship will have to stand the test of time to see how strong their bond is. Currently, there are only 5 episodes that have been released and I have watched all 5 episodes. Each episode lasts for about 20 to 25 minutes.
The first episode starts with Zac and Fatima putting Fatima's house for sale because they have decided to stay together. Now, Fatima had a committed relationship which ends very badly so she has doubts about selling her house so she decides to only rent the space out. In her previous relationship, she was dumped by the guy who went ahead to marry another woman whilst he was still with her.
She loves Zac a lot but she still thinks about her ex and the trust she has lost in him. After that scene, they both settle nicely into their new home. Zac's friends are not happy with the new development as they think Zac will be left out of the playboy lifestyle. Zac tells his friends that he thinks Fatima is the one and he plans on settling down with her if everything goes down well.

Fatima on the other hand plans a meet-up with her girls. At the meeting up she tells her girls about Zac and she tells them she thinks Zac is the one. Her friends can wait to meet Zac, so Fatima decides to plan a dinner at home where she will invite her friends over to meet with Zac. When she goes home she tells Zac about the development, he also tells her about his friends wanting to meet her so she tells him to invite them over for dinner.
At the dinner, her friends arrive one after the other. When the third friend arrives Zack opens the door for her and realises he has had an encounter with her before. In Zac’s previous life(before meeting Fatima) he slept with a lot of ladies, had one-night stands and a whole lot of things. So Fatima’s friend makes a case that she knows Zac and she claims they had a thing on a plane about 2 years ago. Zac admits it but he claims he has changed now.
Fatima's friend keeps on insisting that Zac is no good to Fatima and that it will be a bad idea to take Zac serious. Zac tries to calm the situation down as he thinks his last life was really bad but then he can't change it either. Fatima's friend continues to come at Zac until he can't take it anymore and pours out in anger. He explains everything and then walks out of the dinner.
This is how episode one of Zatima ends. I hope you guys enjoy the storyline and hope to see you here for episode 2 next time.
