Drop (6.4/10)
The story is fairly straight forward and something that has been done many times before. The 2 movies that came to mind were Carry-On which has a similar story arch & Trap which had a similar feel to it. A woman goes on a date and gets some memes airdropped to her phone (hence the movie name Drop which has nothing to do with falling)
The movie basically is a "who-done-it" where you as the viewer get indirectly introduced by a bunch of characters (The Bar Girl / The Waiter / The Pianist / Other people who have dates / ... ) and you know that one of them is sending the text and keeping the main character hostage. Things start of rather slow but they escalate toward the ending.
Movie Plot (Spoiler Free):
"A widowed mother's first date in years takes a terrifying turn when she's bombarded with anonymous threatening messages on her phone during their upscale dinner, leaving her questioning if her charming date is behind the harassment."
It's one of those movies where they went with a core premisse that sounds fine and fun on paper but building an entire movie around it that stays interesting is something else. Some of the things that kind of bothered me with this movie was the first 30 minutes of the actual date which just were extremely annoying when I imagined how a date in a restaurant should go and also I had issues to see the messages that were send to the phone so at times I needed to rewind.
Having Carry on and Trap as a reference for this movie, the first one (Carry-on) I felt was a bit better executed while the 2nd one (Trap) had better twists and never annoyed me. So overall drop while there was nothing really wrong about it kind of dissapointed me a bit even though I did not hate watching it.

Conclusion
I hoped for this one to be a 'good bad movie' similar to Trap but I was left rather dissapointed even though I also kind of enjoyed watching it as it was a good no-brain movie for 90 Minutes on a night where I didn't want to watch anything long or serious. I still give it a respectable 6.4/10, you pretty much get what you can expect from this one.
