Be careful with him... he's not very friendly to say. Plus, he's got a ripper buddy who loves to get hammered, and his name is piglet! Get ready to learn the dark secrets of a couple of animals hungry for death.
Nunca podrías haber imaginado un largometraje con tus personajes favoritos de la infancia destripando carne humana. Ahora tu sueño (o pesadilla) se ha vuelto realidad con este slasher lleno de escenas retorcidas. Es gore salpicado de cuentos infantiles y algunos juegos en el bosque, donde la imaginación cobraba vida en la mente de un niño. Disney no es la única productora que puede hacer cosas interesantes con los clásicos cuentos de la literatura para niños… aunque esta obra no es precisamente algo que un niño deba ver. “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” es la versión siniestra del oso amarillo más tierno del cine y la televisión, con referencias casi exactas a la obra original de Alan Milne.
Lástima que lo siniestro no fue suficiente para confeccionar un largometraje del mismo impacto de Terrifier. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey es una obra atractiva por los personajes emblemáticos que hay detrás, pues del resto solo encontramos situaciones clichés y muertes desmesuradamente torpes; hay gore, sí, pero no como el que yo imaginaba. Pareciera que el oso amarillo ha aparecido en una facultad de universitarios, tal vez como Scream en sus viejos tiempos, y quizás exagero con la comparación. No hay algo novedoso más que una venganza y una oscura trasmutación del cuento para niños. ¿Vale la pena verla? Depende de cuán dispuesto estés para ver como Pooh y Piglet se llenan su humanoides cuerpos de sangre.
You could never have imagined a feature film with your favorite childhood characters disemboweling human flesh. Now your dream (or nightmare) has come true with this slasher full of twisted scenes. It is gore dotted with children's stories and some games in the woods, where imagination came to life in the mind of a child. Disney isn't the only production company that can do interesting things with the classic tales of children's literature… although this work is not exactly something that a child should see. “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” is the sinister version of the cutest yellow bear on film and television, with almost exact references to Alan Milne's original work.
Too bad the sinister was not enough to make a feature film with the same impact as Terrifier. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is an attractive work due to the emblematic characters behind it, since the rest we only find cliché situations and excessively clumsy deaths; There is gore, yes, but not like what I imagined. It seems that the yellow bear has appeared in a university faculty, perhaps like Scream in its old days, and perhaps I exaggerate with the comparison. There is nothing new than revenge and a dark transmutation of the children's story. Is it worth seeing? It depends on how willing you are to watch Pooh and Piglet fill their humanoid bodies with blood.
En la trama perseguimos el Trauma de María, una muchacha que “curiosamente” ha tenido problemas con acosadores. En un viaje libre de tecnología para despejar el pesado y la pesadilla, María y sus amigas se hospedan cerca del Bosque de los Cien Acres, justo donde Pooh almacena los restos de sus amigos humanos torturados y masacrados. Un viaje de paz mental se convierte en una fiesta de huesos, en la que el mismísimo Christopher Robin tendrá que intervenir… aunque sin que pueda hacer mucho. Solo queda huir, ¡huir! Antes que Pooh y sus ganas de miel y carne terminen con todos.
El largometraje es bastante bizarro, como esos creepypasta que estamos acostumbrados a ver por las redes sociales. Pero me entristece que la calidad de este film haya sido tan simple, ¡pudieron haber hecho más! Lo imaginé más psicótico, más oscuro, más siniestro. No obstante, el género slasher no siempre suele mostrar algo que no sea persecución y muerte, aunque he de admitir que algunas producciones en su cúspide lograron cambiar mucho de ese ciclo repetitivo. “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” es buena para el culto de los amantes al gore, pero posiblemente no encontrarás algo más que eso. El trasfondo y la motivación de Pooh son planas, incluso algo incongruentes; supongo que esto se debió al deseo de mantener el largometraje bajo una narrativa de cuentos para niños; solo que sin un final feliz.
In the plot we follow the Trauma of María, a girl who "curiously" has had problems with stalkers. On a tech-free journey to clear away the nightmare, Maria and her friends stay near the Hundred Acre Wood, right where Pooh stores the remains of his tortured and slaughtered human friends. A trip of peace of mind turns into a party of bones, in which Christopher Robin himself will have to intervene... although without much he can do. It only remains to run away, run away! Before Pooh and his desire for honey and meat end everyone.
The feature film is quite bizarre, like those creepypastas that we are used to seeing on social networks. But it saddens me that the quality of this film was so simple, they could have done more! I imagined it more psychotic, darker, more sinister. However, the slasher genre does not always show something other than persecution and death, although I have to admit that some productions at their peak managed to change a lot from that repetitive cycle. “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” is good for the gore-loving cult, but you probably won't find more than that. Pooh's background and motivation are flat, even somewhat incongruous; I suppose this was due to the desire to keep the feature film under a children's story narrative; just without a happy ending.
La forma humanoide de Pooh y Piglet es muy chistosa, o intenta serlo; cuando vi el Tráiler por primera vez pensé que se trataban de psicópatas disfrazados y deduje que ese sería el argumento del film, más sin embargo, me topé con que sí eran los animalitos que alguna vez vimos en las películas de Disney. El film deja muchas preguntas al aire, incluso durante su desarrollo; algunas situaciones son demasiado ridículas, y bueno, al menos para mí esto le quita mucho ritmo al asunto. He visto Buenos Slashers, lastimosamente “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” no es uno de ellos.
¿Entones no vale la pena verlo?
Si te gusta el gore y ver como tus personajes animados de la infancia masacran gente, entonces esa es la excepción. No diré nada más… no es una película de la que uno pueda decir mucho a menos que se empleen los tan odiados spoilers. A pesar de todo lo malo logré disfrutarla; tenía yo ganas de verla desde hace bastante tiempo atrás, y en general pude matar el aburrimiento del mismo modo que Pooh mató a sus amigos, o enemigos. ¡Él odia a los humanos! Lo que no ha cambiado es su gusto por la miel, y su rostro similar a algún presidente, jajaja.
Pooh and Piglet's humanoid form is very funny, or tries to be; When I saw the Trailer for the first time, I thought that they were psychopaths in disguise and I deduced that this would be the plot of the film, but nevertheless, I found that they were the little animals that we once saw in Disney movies. The film leaves many questions open, even during its development; some situations are too ridiculous, and well, at least for me this takes a lot of rhythm out of the matter. I've seen good Slashers, unfortunately "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" is not one of them.
So it's not worth watching?
If you like gore and watching your childhood cartoon characters slaughter people, then this is the exception. I won't say anything else... it's not a movie one can say much about unless the hated spoilers are used. Despite all the bad I managed to enjoy it; I had wanted to see it for quite some time, and in general I was able to kill boredom in the same way that Pooh killed his friends, or his enemies. He hates humans! What hasn't changed is his taste for honey, and his face similar to some president, hahaha.
El bosque de los Cien Acres no es igual desde que Christopher Robin fue a la universidad a cumplir sus estúpidos sueños, ¡cuán diferente hubiera sido! Ahora el osito amarillo se ha convertido en un monstruo, uno que desea abrazarte pero no precisamente con amor. “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” es quizás el principio de una serie de películas basadas en los clásicos infantiles que alguna vez nos cautivaron. ¿Es retorcido? The Hundred Acre Wood hasn't been the same since Christopher Robin went to college to follow his stupid dreams, how different it would have been! Now the yellow bear has turned into a monster, one that wants to hug you but not exactly with love. "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" is perhaps the beginning of a series of films based on the children's classics that once captivated us. Is it twisted? Yes, and a lot! But nothing that can't be seen from time to time.
