Hello. (Sorry for my English, I'm still learning this language.)
My name is Sebastian and I'm a film studies student from Poznan (Poland). Today I want to analyze a famous quote from Justice League Snyder Cut's trailer - "We live in a society where honour is a distant memory" said Joker in the last part of the trailer. Also, I want to explain why this quote didn't appear finally in the movie.
Sound
If you listen closely to every word said by Joker, you will notice that "isn't that right, Batman?" sounds quite different than the quote we discuss. It sounds like it was recorded in a different place, maybe by another microphone. We can only speculate.
But we can be sure that it wasn't originally part of the script. Jared Leto said that quote was completely his idea.
Meaning
A more important thing to discuss here is the fact, that appearing this quote in the final film wouldn't make any sense.
SPOILER ALERT

.
.
In this scene Joker and the rest of the characters are wandering in a post-apocalyptic world, where society is destroyed, maybe almost all of the people were killed by "bad Superman" and Darkseid's army. So there is no society. Telling something like that would be completely out of place. W...Why?
Conclusion
That was a cheap marketing trick, that's all. We all were waiting for this movie only to watch this one scene, where Joker says that. We were fascinated. Oh my god, Joker says this quote from memes! We were tricked.
