The title makes you want to watch it, but after a few minutes you realise it was a mistake. There is no meaningful story to make you think or that fits with the title. Perhaps it is because it is a comedy-drama that should not be taken seriously, which for me does not work. I did not find the drama sad or funny, and the same goes for the parts that were supposed to be humorous.
Although I did not like the film, its plot is very interesting and something I would like to do. It is based on the story of two Jewish cousins who reunite after many years because they decided to spend a holiday together and take a trip to Poland, the country of their deceased grandmother, to visit tourist sites and reconnect with themselves and their family history. During the trip, they clash several times, but they manage to smooth things over and continue with their plans, as they have joined a group of tourists who are doing the same tour.
These cousins clash because of their different personalities. David is a father, husband, responsible, reserved, and Benji is spontaneous, eccentric, uncontrollable, and free, with no responsibilities or emotional control. He says what he thinks without filtering himself and without caring whether or not he hurts others. At first, Benji seemed like a person without empathy, but then I discovered that deep down he was very sensitive and had no control over his own emotions, often throwing childish tantrums as an adult.

Su tÃtulo te motiva a verla, pero luego de pocos minutos te das cuenta de que fue un error, no hay una historia de valor que te haga reflexionar ni que encaje con su tÃtulo, tal vez sea por su género de comedia dramática que no se debe tomar en serio, que para mà no combina, el drama no me pareció triste ni gracioso y lo mismo con la parte que se suponÃa era de humor.Y aunque no me gustó la pelÃcula su argumento es muy interesante y es algo que me gustarÃa hacer. Se basa en la historia de dos primos judÃos que se reencuentran después de muchos años porque decidieron pasar unas vacaciones juntos y hacer un viaje a Polonia, paÃs de su abuela fallecida, para visitar lugares turÃsticos y reconectarse con ellos mismos y su historia familiar. Durante el viaje entran en conflicto varias veces, pero logran limar las asperezas y siguen con la planificación, ya que se unieron a un grupo de turistas que están haciendo el mismo recorrido.
Estos primos chocan por sus distintas personalidades, está David que es un padre, esposo, responsable, reservado y Benji que es espontáneo, excéntrico, incontrolable y libre, sin responsabilidades ni control afectiva, dice lo que piensa sin filtro y sin importarle si hiere o no a los demás. Al principio Benji me pareció un ser sin empatÃa luego descubrà que en el fondo era muy sensible y no tenÃa control de sus propias emociones, con frecuencia hacÃa berrinches de niños siendo un adulto.
In the end, these cousins get to know their grandmother's life story better and share anecdotes they experienced with her. They also express repressed emotions they had towards each other and decide not to separate again, leaving the viewer in doubt.
On several occasions, I was about to stop watching, but I kept going because of the visits to tourist sites and the history mentioned in them, the monuments they show, and even the music. Because of all these elements, I watched it until the end. I didn't see the drama or the comedy; rather, I felt stress and anxiety. It was released in 2024 and starred Kieran Culkin as Benji and Jesse Eisenberg as David. I don't recommend it, but if you have a connection to Poland, you're sure to like it.

Al final estos primos logran conocer mejor la historia de vida de su abuela y comparten anécdotas que vivieron con ella, también expresan emociones reprimidas que tenÃan entre ellos, y deciden no volverse a separar, dejando en duda al espectador.En varias ocasiones estuve a punto de dejarla de ver, me mantuve por la visita de lugares turÃsticos y la historia que mencionan en ellos, los monumentos que muestran incluso hasta la música, por todos esos elementos la vi hasta el final. No llegué a ver el drama ni la comedia, más bien sentà estrés y ansiedad. Fue estrenada en el 2024 y protagonizada por Kieran Culkin como Benji y Jesse Eisenberg como David. No la recomiendo, pero si tienes una relación con Polonia seguro te va a gustar.
