Here are my choices:
Science Fiction Films that take place under water always catch my attention because they bring together two of the cinematic themes that I like the most. Although this movie is not as good as it should have been (because there was potential to be something more), it has a very interesting atmosphere that builds a narrative that serves as good entertainment.
Basically, the movie is about a team that is trapped inside an underwater station and who have to face unknown creatures to get out of there alive. The script is simple and the direction too. The cast is average, but it is an interesting movie to watch (but I repeat: just as uncompromising entertainment). The best part of the movie is the visual part.
Disney / Pixar always deliver good works for cinema lovers, but some titles go much further and become something much bigger. This is the case with this amazing movie, which begins as another "children's movie" and becomes a beautiful story about life and how important it is to live it to the fullest with the people we care about most. It's really beautiful and impressive!
In addition to being a technically very well developed and produced animation, the script is sensational. It's amazing to see how a simple story turns into something so captivating and emotional right before our eyes. The narrative follows a gradually deep path and mixes very assertive comic elements (which by the way, are so damn good, simple and genuine at the same time).
