Nace una estrella es una película del género romance / musical, que fue estrenada el 12 de octubre de 2018 en Venezuela, dirigida por Bradley Cooper, quien junto a Lady Gaga protagonizan la película. Pero algo que no todos saben es que se trata de la tercera adaptación cinematográfica de A Star Is Born (1937), que fue dirigida por William A. Wellman.

Es una película que deja mucho que pensar, nos muestra el día a día de muchos artistas que, aunque son grandes en el mundo artístico, pierden la vida por culpa de las drogas y el alcohol; Jackson, quien es prisionero de estos vicios y también agobiado por traumas infantiles, una noche después de un concierto en busca de alcohol llega a un bar donde conoce a Ally, una mujer que con su hermosa voz lo cautiva al instante, y luego ellos pasan una noche divertida en compañía conociéndose un poco más, luego de eso la invita a su concierto ya que cree que tiene un talento extraordinario, que además de su voz también escribe hermosos versos que componen canciones increíbles, en donde cantan juntos la canción "Shallow", que es una de mis favoritas de la gran variedad de canciones que componen la banda sonora de esta película, luego de esto Jack lleva a Ally de gira, para acompañarlo en el escenario y durante esto su amor crece cada vez más, un día le pide que cante una de las canciones que ha compuesto para cerrar un concierto, su actuación fue tan espectacular que un productor musical le hace una invitación para firmar con su disquera, luego de esto Ally se estaba levantando en el mundo de la fama, y en cambio la carrera de Jack estaba en decadencia, perdida en el alcohol y las drogas, mientras Ally tenía un concierto importante él se ahoga en los vicios y se duerme en el jardín de un amigo, ella llega preocupada y molesta, sin embargo lo perdona ya que su amor por él es muy grande, ese día almuerzan con la familia del amigo de Jackson, y en medio de la comida le pide a Ally que se casen, quien obviamente acepta y ese mismo día realizan una pequeña e íntima boda. Luego de que su relación fue una montaña rusa de emociones, el éxito de Ally la lleva a presentarse en un programa para cantar en vivo, allí canta uno de sus últimos trabajos discográficos, sin embargo a Jack no le gusta la letra de la canción y piensa que ha perdido su esencia, unos días después, en una sesión de fotos Ally se entera de que ha sido nominada a los Grammys, pero al llegar a casa su marido estaba extremadamente borracho, lo que la molesta mucho y decide darse un baño, mientras ella está en la bañera, Jack al borde del alcohol y las drogas, comienza a decirle lo que piensa de su canción, terminan teniendo una fuerte discusión donde ella se siente muy mal, por lo cruel que él había sido. Jackson sobrio, y en sus cinco sentidos al día siguiente llega al lugar donde Ally estaba ensayando para uno de sus conciertos, le pide disculpas y cuando ella se da cuenta de que no ha bebido nada decide perdonarlo pero no sin antes decirle lo mal que la hacía sentir. Llega el día de los Grammys Music Awards, Jackson llega antes ya que tendrá una presentación, pero nuevamente cae preso del vicio, comienza a beber y consumir drogas, al momento de su presentación se encontraba en muy mal estado, sin embargo él podría tocar la guitarra como estaba planeado, luego de esto él se sienta al lado de Ally quien inmediatamente se da cuenta del nivel de embriaguez en la que se encuentra, la llaman para recibir un premio como mejor artista nuevo, Jack la sigue pero el estado en el que se encuentra no le permite seguir el ritmo de Ally y se queda en las escaleras, cuando ella lo menciona en su discurso de agradecimiento, él toma fuerzas y sube al escenario para estar a su lado, pero lamentablemente avergüenza a su esposa porque se orina en los pantalones frente a miles de personas, luego de todo el escándalo, Jackson decide entrar en rehabilitación, en la cual pasa poco más de 3 meses, cuando se va y llega a su casa todo va perfecto, él y Ally estaban felices. Ally le había pedido previamente a su gerente que llevara a Jack con ella a una gira, pero él se negó rotundamente y por eso ella decide cancelar la gira. Luego de esto, el gerente llega a la casa de Ally, pero ella no está, sin embargo, se sienta a hablar con Jackson y de manera cruel y fría le dice que no deja que Ally avance y que regresará a beber muy pronto , esto lo deja pensando y en mal estado. Ally llega a casa esa tarde, le dice a Jack que la gira fue cancelada para que ella pudiera grabar un álbum, lo cual no es cierto y de alguna manera él puede sentirlo, ella tiene un concierto por la noche al que cual lo invitó a cantar juntos, ella va a alistarse y llega primero al lugar donde actuará, mientras Jackson se queda en casa, abrumado, pensando y triste, vuelve a las drogas y luego acaba con su vida ahorcadonse con un cinturón. Ally no puede creerlo, se siente muy mal y se culpa a sí misma, hasta que un día se sienta a hablar con Bobby, el hermano mayor de Jackson y él le hace entender que no es culpa de nadie, solo de Jack. La película termina con Ally cantando en homenaje a su muerte la canción "Nunca volveré a amar" que es mi favorita de todas las que aparecen en la película, compuesta por Jackson para ella hace un tiempo, y a través de las lágrimas recuerda todo lo que vivieron juntos.
