The sky has fallen and it's now time to sit and digest what just happened and I'm not talking about the crypto markets of the past couple of days and my experience on playing with falling knives.
I'm actually reminiscing on the past couple of years. We were in a bull market and "I didn't even knew that". Last year this time around my altcoins portfolio was at around $10,000, my Hive and Leo accounts were something around $5,000 and life was good.
Crypto kept getting in through my blogging activity, the prices didn't seem to halt and I was waiting to finally "make life changing money". Now this is all but a lost dream. All I've got left now is 0.02 BTC, $500 worth of HIVE and about the same amount of LEO.
I have literally spent $1,700 the past 24 hours catching falling knives with LUNA and I have come to terms with the idea that I'm not ever getting back my money. No way this shit is ever recovering. Hence I'm somehow drowned right now in a cascade of hard feelings.
I was a fool and my foolishness goes back before I actually got rekt with LUNA.
I should have sold some crypto back in May 2021, I should have dumped the entire $7,000 UMA airdrop that I got in January, instead of diversifying it into other alts, and I should have put some of these grands into HBD earning interest rather than gambling it all. Old habits are hard to kill and seems that my gambling mentality is one of these.
What to do now?
Well, the best option is to focus on the one real project that got me the most satisfaction in my entire crypto experience which is Hive. This thing has the pedigree to help me rebuild everything and get back on track. HIVE is also bleeding and it's the token that has paid for my bills for a couple of years now, but it's time I should think long term and not spend everything that I earn anymore.
I'll definitely have to embrace frugality...
At some point we will get back on the wave and at that point I want to have some coins set aside. There's no way I'm putting any money out of my own pocket in crypto anymore. Every time I've done that I haven't played lucrative. I'm a bad investor there's no doubt about that... but I am a good constructor, though, and Hive is full of potential in this regard.
Hence, this thing has just become my life boat. I hope you've played the game better than I did and wish you a smooth bear market. See you around!
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
