It's become hard to keep up the pace with what's going on right now with Wall Street and the #wallstreetbets, witnessing how Robinhood is actually taking from the rich and giving to the poor and not noticing that DOGE has just hit a new ATH of $0.024, just a few hours ago, due to a shilling tweet.
This time it wasn't an Elon Musk one, but coming from the chairman of #wallstreetbets. Nice... the meme coin has its own show now, and if history is to repeat itself we will have a new altcoin season triggered by the jokecoin as it has done that in the past as well.
Have you ever experienced the feeling of being given money as a gift but conditioned to use them for a particular purpose? I know that feeling. My grandpa gifted me a sum of money when I was a kid as a gift, but he came with a condition, that I should buy some stupid soldiers toy game and not the water gun I was wishing for.
Pretty much the same as Robinhood is doing right, although people's money are not gifted, but the opportunity of opening a good trade is, when getting involved in people's trades and closing them at will, like for example this GME one from the screenshot above. This situation hasn't happened to me as I'm not a Robinhood user, but found it on twitter and thought it is outrageous.
How come one app, no matter what the app is, decides to close me a trade or anything. What ownership do we still have with our lives these days?... Unbelievable. If such situations and all of the saga that's taking place right now isn't screaming for DEFI, DEXs and Decentralized blockchain and governance systems to replace the old ones, then I don't know what would.
It's outrageous how these institutions are basically trashing their clients, doing all that in plain sight and coming up with all sort of childish excuses. People are being fed up with this shit and it was probably the time for that to happen.
Was wondering at some point, how exactly would crypto and decentralized blockchain technology become mainstream, how the type of social media that we are using here will get in the hands of millions and honestly I wasn't seeing a scenario unfolding. It's crystal clear now.
We don't have to stuff them on the people's throats. They're gonna come ask for them by themselves. Situations like these occurring right now in the world are basically asking for such disruptive tech and way of life. The old one has simply become unbearable. I also get now from where trillions of dollars will pour into crypto and it's definitely not entirely retail or institutional. The FOMO's gonna be a mixed one.
Keeping this post a short one, but hopefully quite relevant, I'd say we have interesting times ahead waiting for us, it's a blessing to be in crypto and amazing to see things moving in the good direction.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
