I first heard of Revolut some three or four years ago, it was presented to me as a nice, easy-to-use app that's making managing personal finances easier than one can imagine. I didn't bother about it because I was into crypto at that time and cash was still my only option for dealing with money outside the crypto world.
When it came to cashing out crypto money, after a while by using some Romanian exchange I was using at that time, I noticed that by opting for Revolut it was way faster to withdraw cash than it was by doing that with a regular bank account. You have quite some options of VISA cards coming from Revolut, some being quite well packed for travelers.
I went for the basic option, cuz I didn't need anything above that. For a couple of years, Revolut is trying to become a bank and not just some fintech company that floats around the banking moguls, and in its ascending quest, it has managed to integrate cryptocurrencies into its plethora of offered products as well.
For a while you could only gamble on crypto by using "Revolut money", but it is now for some time available to actually deposit and withdraw cryptocurrencies from your Revlut account.
As of late, Revolut has integrated Elrond into their crypto offerings, available to 20m+ users in 30+ countries. That's great news for yours truly, cuz I'm deeply invested in this shitcoin :). I have about 65 coins and planning on getting to 100 so I can become a validator.
So, what about Elrond?
Elrond is the internet-scale blockchain, designed from scratch to bring a 1000-fold cumulative improvement in throughput and execution speed. To achieve this, Elrond introduces two key innovations: a novel Adaptive State Sharding mechanism, and a Secure Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm, enabling linear scalability with a fast, efficient, and secure consensus mechanism.
Thus, Elrond can process upwards of 15,000 transactions per second (TPS), with 6-second latency, and negligible cost, attempting to become the backbone of a permissionless, borderless, globally accessible internet economy.

I knew about the project since right after the launch, the price of one EGLD was of around $7-$8 at that time and the 2021 peak it reached was $540... Haven't bought any in the early phases of the launch cuz I didn't trust em. It's a Romanian product and I don't trust Romanians that much...
Elrond is no strange to development and as a matter of fact, will be integrated into Audi's future entertainment system. There are games built on Elrond, it's fast, scalable, and cheap to use, but the thing that got me convinced into putting my money in this project was how they handled an ongoing hack of their DEX some two months ago.
I was amazed by the professionalism of the team, a team that has close to 150 members now, and the responsible matter in which they managed to diminish the losses and also refund the affected accounts. That's when I started adding EGLD to my portfolio. I've been buying it since it was $84 a coin all the way down to $53 and I will buy more if it goes to $30 or something.
“The most innovative and disruptive startups in the fintech field gravitate towards crypto, bringing along unique talent pools and fully engaged communities. When you add to this a vision that transcends its own product and industry, you get a game changer. Elrond is such a project. That’s why we are excited to be able to offer EGLD to Revolut’s customers and help them accomplish their vision of an inclusive global financial system.”

We all sort of have our own dose of extreme fanatism when it comes to crypto investments. is an AVA fanatic,
is into CUB and POLYCUB and I'm "the Elrond guy". Hence, I'm excited to see Elrond getting the deserved exposure and thriving as a crypto project. The price has not yet reacted significantly to the news, trading in the $56-$59 range the past 24 hours, but long term I'm confident it will at least reach its 2021 peak.
Hope everyone has a great day and see you in the next post.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
