It's been a bit over one month since I started my integration process in the LEO fam, and although I knew about the community and the blogging interface from other fellow hivers that were quite active around here for a while, I was a bit shy of taping its waters. I am not a trader, I don't do TA, not a blockchain geek and definitely not the best one to talk finance to.
I used to get occasional comments from ,
or
on some crypto posts of mine encouraging me to use the leointerface for such content, but honestly... I wasn't feeling that my content was worthy of such community, and how wrong was I. I'm hard to get moving and to convinced and sometimes this slowness pays to my detriment, but once I get moving I'm hard to stop.
One month later after I decided to dedicate some time to this community I can say it again: what a looser I was, and how great it feels to be around here. Not only that I managed to put out content that is appropriate for this community, on a daily basis, some days having two leofinance posts a day, but almost all of my time dedicated to Hive is spent on leofinance. I only check my peakd feed once in a while and use it only to post photography( which is a hobby that I enjoy a lot).
Other than that I'm spending hours and hours every day reading posts, commenting and blogging around here. I kind of feel like in my early days on Steem, this time though feeling more rewarded and integrated than three years ago. So, it's about rewards/tokens after all? Why wouldn't it be... I mean, who doesn't like high amounts of dopamine triggered in the brain when you see your post on the trending page with 225 LEO in upvotes, as this one over here, and you get constant notifications for comments on your posts. C'mon...
I have almost three years on the blockchain and not once have I got to the trending page, neither on Hive, nor on Steem, not that the trending page is some sort of heaven, but still. In here I've done that in about two weeks, with no bots, not ass licking, no circle jerking and no begging. Just by being myself and doing what I like and posting my own shit in my own way. It's a different community though, or should I say an actual community, built on different pillars, made simple, and grown organically.
You know what else I managed to outperform in just one month out of my three years long blogging activity, that's been possible solely thanks to leofinance? Score my highest payouts for comments, over 40 LEO for one comment, all of them work of , and I got three of them yesterday. Simply mind blowing, especially for someone that worked his ass for three years on this chain putting out content, refusing to use bots to make a name in the game, and collecting pennies for all that. Does that mean that all of a sudden I can live off of blogging and this three years old dream has become true?
No, but it sure feels encouraging, especially knowing that the community is still young but growing organically, there's absolutely tons of potential in it and that the bull market has just begun in crypto(BTC close to $15,000)... and I have managed to outperform all of my blogging peaks that I have on almost three years spent on the chain, in just less than a month. From what I remember my best paid post on Hive was worth around 40 HIVE, if I remember correctly, and now I got that much just by a comment, and you can get that too, believe me. I'm not friends with the ones that have curated my content and made possible all of this, and neither do I circle jerk or ass lick them. It's just time and efforts that I invested and they're starting to pay off.
Hence, I can truly say that on leofinance I outperformed myself on almost any level that I could take into account, and I can feel that even physically. I spend that much time on a daily basis around here that I got to have hand ache from all the scrolling and typing. It's becoming addictive, and there's no turning back. Especially during these glorious times for crypto, and pain will go away for sure. 2020 started quite grey and with not much perspective for me, it's end seems to be way more than I anticipated though and 2021 is going to be mind blowing.
Part of all that excitement and joy is definitely influenced by LEO and this community that changed my perspective over HIVE 180 degrees. Otherwise I wouldn't ignore that hand ache in writing this post and wouldn't read tons of posts daily and share my two cents on almost all of them. Happy to be around here, fulfilled to be able to outperform myself and excited for the future.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
