It in the heart, not the pocket. Those who help do so because for them, it is a burden from the heart. Even when they don't have enough, they still feel like sharing the little with them with people who are going through pains so as to ease their pains. You don't need to get rich before you become a humaniterian. If you will give to the poor only when you are rich, it means that the door to become rich will be closed against you, because given opens the door of wealth for us.
Since the beginning of this world there has been poor people in every country. Though one may not be able to tell vividly Why they have have always been there. I know that some are poor because of the foolish mistakes they made in life, some may also be poor as a result of man's handwork. Infact, there are so many reasons why we will always have the poor among us here on earth.
I want to talk about one reason and see how I can relate it to our response to it. The Holy Book says and I quote " Prov.14.31 - Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but those who help the poor honor him". From this place, it seems to me that one of the major reason we will always have the poor is to see those who will have the mind of helping them.
So, the act of giving is not done only when one is rich, it starts from when one don't even have enough money to settle his / her immediate needs. Humaniterians do so because it is a calling for them, not because they are rich. If one is waiting to be rich before helping others, that will only be a dream that will never come through. If you ask those who are rich, they will tell you that one of factors for their wealth is as a result of the kind gesture of giving. We need to learn to give even when we don't have much for ourselves.
Helping others open the door of wealth for us. It has been there as a law that affect people wether they know it or not. They just walk around with the consequences of their actions without knowing it.
Giving attract wealth. When you love given a helping hand to people who are in need, you will always have to give more, because they will always pray for you to have more so as to give them.
With the little blessings we have here from hiving, I believe that we can all be a blessing to others outside here. People are dying because of their inability to solve their problems. Some even commit suicide, some are at the very point of commiting suicide right now as we speak. If my kind gesture will stop some one from killing his / herself, then I have achieved alot through my resources.
May we receive the mind to help others even when we have just a little 🙏.
