A big Opportunity knocks the door once in a life and if you are thinking to invest some fund in the cryptocurrency then you might thinking to be early investor to be in at low price value.
Bitcoin has not given you that opportunity as you were too young and little matured in the crypto market but i am hoping you have done enough study in last 3 to 5 years and have seen those ethereum valued from $1 to $2000 in that time period.
The reason is ethereum is the key software company which has wide range of market for smart contract and distributed application . Do not be confused because ethereum native currency is ether and in more simple word ,is called Gas which you required to validate any transaction on ethereum blockchain network . So in a clear word , ether and ethereum is interchangeably same .

ETF is something like tsunami in the Stock market where ethereum can be explored to giant investors and Trillion dollars market. ETF (exchanges traded fund) is new way to get traded in the world financial market and This way ethereum looks more valuable .
Proof of stake : Ethereum is presently running on proof of work consensus where all the whales who are actively involved in mining ethereum ,are getting huge profit by simply mine the ethereum with high computational power and dump all the coins to exchange .this ecosystem of etherum is not fruitful for itself and for environment too.
Proof of stake (PoS) is long awaited consensus where ethereum will be shifted in the next year (estimated).The important role of proof of stake on ethereum impact the whole blockchain ecosystem in the way where it very hard to believe. Minimum 42 ETH will be required to get participant in the network transaction validation and mining ETH as well.Proof of stake is such a transformation where anybody from anywhere without using any mining rigs or computational power ,can mine ethereum by just staking and this mechanism will rocket fuel to etherum network as mass adoption of eth will happen and very hard to be dump ethereum on the exchanges because of more valued gain in the future.
Inflation will be controlled : Ethereum is presently annually inflated in the rate of 4.5 % which can be reduced to 0.5% after the ETH 2.0 fully launched . if we compare with bitcoin halving then simply its 3 times less in inflation . This input will make ethereum rise in demand and people will hardly sell off ,can automatically make more valuable. Just imagine ,ethereum will be act like bitcoin and might more valuable in the future.
Deflationary proposal: Recently in London, Ethereum up-gradation is been proposed where ether (GAS) as transaction fee will be burned . This ethereum improvement proposal (EIP 1559) will be implemented then just imagine the scarcity of ether always be there on the ethereum blockchain.
Ethereum Looks Gems next to bitcoin: ETH 2.0 is such a craze which making crypto exchanges slowly empty hand on daily basis because people predicted the real value and started putting in the contract where eth2.0 will take place for staking.
