The evolution of URL rewards!
Many of us like to be rewarded for sharing links! Many of businesses would love to pay content creators for conversions. But it's hard for the two parties to meet since a huge amount of trust is necessary.
I stumbled upon 2Key.io (also known as 2Key.network) a platform built on Ethereum blockchain that uses blockchain tech to allow companies to track links and reward referrers. The blockchain automatically fights spam, and ensures that each party gets its part of the deal.
2Key PPC Service: Smartlinks
While there are multiple types of conversions you can use smartlinks for, (including Pay-per-Singup or Pay-per-Sale.) The most common type is Pay-per-Click model which allows companies to pay advertisers to share their links! It also can be done without leaving 2Key website & doesn't require integrating the API.
Using PPC as advertising method, you can make the network advertise for you by setting the amount each click is worth!
You can make the reward "zero" in case you want to give incentive to referrers! You can still get rewards in form of 2Key tokens that way.

Some Notes/Impressions I Have
The platform strongly encourage to use 2Key's own wallet, but they allow you to use your Metamask wallet if you want. Their internal wallet is tailored for the platform and I don't know which effect using Metamask instead will do.
I didn't need to pay any gas fees in the few hours I used 2Key platform. ETH gas fees are high for micro-transactions like these so I'm happy that they don't need them.
I've spent some time reading 2Key's articles. I loved this medium article: "7 Tips to Maximize Your SmartLink Reach and Impact."
Finally, I didn't encounter any ongoing campaign to try being a referrer for. It doesn't seem that 2Key.network is listing them.
I believe that in the future, Smartlinks will be one of the most used ways for blockchain platforms to advertise their platforms! When that happen, I'll definitely take part in some~
