gm Lions!
Quick update on My HIVE Goals progress. Today is week 52 of my 8 year Jive to 200K HIVE!
That means I'm one year into my 8 year plan and pretty much on track! My target for this week was 45,284 HP and I'm currently at 44,177. Not bad!
Let's look at the charts:
This is a screen shot of my spreadsheet. 2600 days of being here. Today is day 339.
I should be increasing at a rate of about 28 HP per day, but I'm at about 15 HP per day. So I need to find ways to add more value to the HIVE ecosystem.
Remember...
you get paid for the VALUE you bring to the marketplace - Jim Rohn
So it's all about being valuable to others.
Here's an example:
I'm really happy with the consistency that has had lately and I think I can be of help here making videos and extracting content from the livestream to share on web 2.0. Today, for instance, I made a short clip of the segment on CTT where we were talking about Slowjamastan with Starkerz and Dan. I put it in a Tweet (x Post?), and we reached out to our friends of The People's Republic of Slowjamastan on X.
We haven't got a response yet, but I think there's a pretty good chance that they'll get back to us at some point.
Hey @slowjamastan You guys were on the CTT Podcast! with @starkerz3 and @TheycallmeDan_🙌 The ministry of foreign affairs should totally come hang out. It's decentralized, community-run network state with it's own digital currency #HIVE https://t.co/zTebdGh7ER pic.twitter.com/SxtXuFPzUO

Buying HIVE on the open market
I also gave myself a bit of a safety net so to speak, where I allow myself to buy HIVE from the market in order to stay on track.
I had some idle fiat lying around, so I decided to convert to HIVE at $0.3479. bargain price if you as me.
This market purchase narrow the gap between my target HP
and my actual HP.
Curation
I curate all manually.
My curation APR is at 5.86% today, so pretty good. My goal is to keep it between 6 and 7%. In the coming weeks, I'll see how high I can take this number without going against my principles on curations which are voting on content that is
- Interesting/valuable to me
- Valuable to the community
- From users who are valuable to the community
- Shows effort
- Original
"Good content" doesn't have to meet all those criteria, as long as it has one of those, I'll consider it for curation.
Milestones
My spreadsheet is setup daily, but I only check on it once a week on Sundays and I have this small table with yearly milestones.
| Date | HP Goal | Actual number |
|---|---|---|
| 11 Dec '22 | 22,278 | 40,140 |
| 13 Aug '22 | 45,060 | 44,177 |
| 31 Dec '23 | 48,980 | --- |
| 31 Dec '24 | 63,450 | --- |
| 31 Dec '25 | 83,169 | --- |
| 31 Dec '26 | 109,274 | --- |
| 31 Dec '27 | 138,839 | --- |
| 31 Dec '28 | 170,681 | --- |
| 21 Oct '29 | 200,000 | --- |
What else am I working on?
Well, I'm starting to look at scenarios that would allow me to shift more of my time and energy to the #HIVE ecosystem.
The following table shows more or less what I could expect to earn from curation + creation with roughly 45K HP and making 4 blog posts per week that receive 20HP on average.
There's really not much I can do with $200 per month IRL, so for the time being, I'm going to continue to only power up until
A) I reach 100,000 HP
B) $HIVE price gets to at least $1.00
When that happens, things might change a little bit.
If the price of HIVE stabilized at around $1.00. If I had 100,000 HIVE POWER, I could start to use some of my rewards from curation and content creation to handle some of my IRL expenses.
Since this is not the case (yet) I'll just continue to power up forever until it is :)
What about you Lions? how are your goals coming along?
