Hi,
this post will be short, as I just arrived home, after driving 2000 km in 3 days.
I want to know from you, for the #AskLeo of the day, how do you keep your motivation high? How do you motivate yourself?
Will answer from my perspective. Mostly, I chase the target, and don't care how hard it is. The hardest part is usually the start of the task, or project, but with momentum it gets easier.
For the start motivation, I just check the target, the deadline and start doing it. No overthinking or too much preparation. Also, the plan is agile, as there is a saying, everyone has a plan, till the reality kicks in the face.
My plan consists mostly of the steps that I need to follow, and is a broad breakdown of the target.
I don't agree that the journey is better than the target, as staying 14 hours in an economy sit, is a pain compared to being on the beach with a cocktail in the hand.
I'm not motivated by fear, on the contrary, it annoys me and puts me off. The biggest motivator is the positive outcome, not the loss.
How about you? How do you keep your motivation high? How do you motivate yourself?
